  Would love to hear his take now on xtians doing a 180 on jews and israel to the extreme of actively cheering on and celebrating the deaths of well over 35,000 innocent people - over 15,000 of them babies and children - because they think jesus is returning to that little patch of desert. Using american bombs and billions of american dollars no less. The destruction of Palestine is one of the worst religion-based disasters in history; a war by proxy by the “greatest country on earth”.

  Hilarious! You've contradicted yourself: on the one hand you claim not to know and yet respect religious people who do claim to know. On the other hand you claim not to know and yet won't grant Atheists the same respect as the religious, even though Atheists don't claim to "know" but only "believe"!? Make it make sense.

  @@donthesitatebegin9283I don’t think I have understood your comment since you have put words and made statements that looking back to my comment, I can’t find it. At the same time I see you very excited, like if you were competing against something or someone and now you feel you have won a prize. I respect Religious people because they do believe there’s some external “power” that has made possible what we are and where we are. Atheists just don’t believe that’s true but can’t explain anything on how we ended up here at all. I’m agnostic not theist because it’s pretty obvious that our brain it’s not capable to explain (for now, if sometime) all this but it’s intelligent enough to understand that the complexity which with all this has happened can’t just come from nothing. I believe it’s a very complex and deep debate and english it’s my fourth language so it’s even harder to try to explain myself. What I do know is that I don’t believe in the tales of religion but I respect the faith they have and the willingness to accept that something bigger than us created all this. I have trouble as I said, to believe the scriptures of Religion, but again, I respect the faith and the acknowledge of something else. Hopefully I have made some sense of what I think 😅

  @@LifeisNowOrNever All you've shown is that you don't understand Atheism - or you wouldn't be repeating ill-informed tropes like "Atheists ... can’t explain anything on how we ended up here at all" and "all this can’t just come from nothing" - both of which have nothing to do with Atheism which is a position on a single question and not a philosophy or a World-view.

  THE DELUSION OF ATHEISM-EVOLUTIONISM. In spite of all the robust ‘atheism’ rhetoric in the mainstream and social media, atheism simply still does not convince. Below see some good examples of how pro-evolutionist (atheist) narrators often contradict themselves in books and programmes on DSTV:  “The lion is a magnificent CREATURE!” Suggesting a CREATOR.  “The cheetah is DESIGNED for short bursts of speed, not for long-distance running!” Suggesting a DESIGNER.  “The kangaroo’s hindlegs are an ENGINEERING marvel!” Suggesting an ENGINEER.  “Nature rewards survivors with LONGEVITY!” Nonsensical tautology: ‘Survivors will live for a long time!’  “It’s all about the SURVIVAL of the FITTEST!” Nonsensical tautology or reasoning in circles: “Why did the Panda survive?” > “It is the fittest!” > “Why is it the fittest?” > “Because it survived!” (They call this ‘science’?).  “I BELIEVE in Evolution!” Disingenuous religious terminology and not science jargon, showing up atheism-evolutionism as a belief-system and not an exact science.  “The COSMOS is a place of spectacular, breathtaking beauty!” Disingenuous use of the word ‘Cosmos’; atheists deny ‘intelligent design’ and are supposed to refer to the Universe as the ‘Chaos’, not the ‘Cosmos’ (‘Order’).  “There is no such thing as GOOD & EVIL!” Then they go ahead and say, “Religion is evil!” and object against Christians bringing prayer and the Bible into schools as ‘unfair’ (?).  “There is no such thing as ABSOLUTE TRUTH!” Then we cannot accept anything they have to say about atheism or God because they may not be telling the ‘absolute truth’ themselves.  “There is no GOD!” Scientists only know about 5% of what is going on in the Cosmos; the rest of the Cosmos consists of 95% ‘dark matter + dark energy undetected by astronomical and scientific instruments’. God may be obscured from their view and observations in the 95% they still do not about the Cosmos.

  I like Hutchinson and Fry but I’m sorry it’s not religion that says a homosexual can’t be accepted In the church it’s the word of God that says a Homosexual can’t inherit the kingdom as well as an adulterous person. I’m against Religion but not against the teaching of Christ. 1 Corinthians 6-9 and Romans 1 :26-27. Throw out religion but stay obedient to God’s word and laws. Their is a heaven and Hell. “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling”. Religion as well as brilliant clever debaters can cost you your salvation when then speak apart from God’s word.

  Wonderful compilation of the late genius Christopher Hitchens. If I had to choose a favourite, it would have to be the Hitchslap to Frank Turek.
