The motivation for my title is because she literally and directly says she knew he had other victims and told the kids they could trust him. She chose him to be alone with the kids and even knowing better she let Allyson go back to the cult compound without her. At every step she was keeping the possibility of an attack alive, well, and increasingly likely. It makes zero sense for her to know what she knew and do what she did. She has thrived in her schemes by leaving people plausible deniability to work with. All of these things as well as my entire life spend dealing with her suggests this occurrence, whatever it actually is, is yet another calculated evil veiled just enough that opportunities for more are left as in tact as possible. At best she loves the drama. Patterns, history, and the fruit of the results suggest a deliberate quest for more harmful results.

I need to add, I absolutely do not thing any rape occurred. If Allyson has suffered any sexual assault it wasn't from Aaron and not likely at POTV or in any other way connected to Adam Fink. Based on what Tricia says here as well as the company she has been keeping, all of my kids will be very fortunate to escape her care without being further victimized somehow. She could not be more blatant and clear about willfully endangering her children. In this case I think she thought she was making her lie more believable by claiming she had made mistakes...but the gross nature of the mistakes she claims to have made show she lacks the judgment and/or concern needed to keep my children safe. More than that, if she sees opportunity in a blatant lie and false accusation one can only imagine how useful she might find a real assault. She cannot be trusted to even want to keep my kids safe. Again. I have zero basis to believe Aaron is guilty of anything here. That includes a very substantial conversation with him that was only possible because he responded to me. Frankly he seems to be one of the best people I've ever known to be around my kids while in Tricia's care.

Thank you. I would have liked for this to be better than it was. It might have been had I had less technical difficulties before actually being able to stream it. Back trouble cut it short. My family is so toxic that no one even told me he had passed. Absolutely everyone who could have and should have reached out to me but didn't is dead to me now. They probably already were, but with this situation I am resolved. I'll never say never, but I don't have to. They will never acknowledge anything that must be acknowledged to move forward.

Thanks. I really enjoy this game and now that I have a good setup for my setup, I hope I will get time to play it on a regular basis. Wreckfest is the perfect blend of sim and arcade in my opinion. I find it satisfying from a physic's standpoint, and just extremely fun with the derby element. If I progress as I hope to then I'd love to throw in some Dirt Rally and other racing. At my current level those are more stressful than fun. I think Wreckfest experience will transfer quite well.

Just something I found useful in this game...I like to have my brakes biased to the rear, that way I can get the rear end to kick out on the sharper corners and you can drift around them. For me at least it helps keep the car under control.

Thanks for the tip. I will try that out. I was doing the front to slam them before the turn but then I was using the wheel and gas to try to drift it. So it does make sense to have the brakes help start the process instead.

Horrendous racing even for me. I had hoped to build off of the night before, but not at all. I'm leaving the recording up with the goal that my next one is better. It's a low bar, I know, but it can only go up from there.

Thanks for commenting. Yes I have discovered this issue on a few recorded mixes. When I stream the volume is perfect but when I record it is low. Now that I have fiber I can stream every set on Twitch then export to KZread before Twitch mutes the audio. I have been busy lately with financial survival, but I am still adding music to my collection plus getting inspired. I should have more sets soon.

I just started playing again last month, spent like 6 hours over the past few days trying to get video players to work. Never seen one actually play before. Was in a full theater last week, and it seemed to be working for everyone else but not me... so I'm assuming it's working for others again? KZread URLs don't work, built-in movies don't work either, tried multiple worlds, always the Invalid URL error.

Make sure you have the "all untrusted URL's" option checked. I'm assuming you are playing on PC if you are struggling with video players. It's certainly possible to have file issues with your installation which can make it difficult to solve if that setting is not your issue. I recommend verifying your files as a next step. Hopefully you are playing through Steam. Since Valve is a gaming focused company they give better options for managing game files. If you are not playing through Steam and the issue seems to be your local installation, then installing SteamVR and then VRChat on Steam should fix your issue and be a better long-term way to run the game. There are other possibilities and options that can be found online. I'm not sure how many might be relative to any issue happening today, but might as well try things that have. worked for other people. Back to Quest, I know for some apps upgrades before launching are optional. It's possible VRChat included the fix for the last issue with a minor update that did not require an update to play. Be sure to check for any missed or postponed updates.

@@digitalstyx_est.2018 Thanks for such a detailed response! Playing on Steam on PC in Desktop mode. Allow Untrusted URLs is checked. Verified integrity of files. Game is up to date. Tried manually replacing yt-dlp with the latest update from github. Tried deleting expired certificates (there were none), tried adding new certificates from VRChat's help site, tried disabling firewalls, manually allowing yt-dlp to bypass the firewall, using a VPN... Checked for Windows updates, Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable told me it was already installed when I tried to install it, Window Media Feature pack is not in the list of programs to add in settings and manually downloading/running it says it's not compatible with my Windows install (or something along those lines), reset the computer every couple fixes and checked VRC to see if it works. Not sure if I will keep all my favorite worlds if I try to fully uninstall the game as that's the one thing I have yet to do (using Steam account to log in, not VRC account).

@@MetroAndroid Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions for fixing it short of trying the fresh install. When/if you install on Steam you can and should use your VRChat account. Your favorites are saved in the cloud not locally, so they will still be there as well. I misread your post. Go to VRChat.com and use their migrate feature to switch to a VRChat account and you should not lose anything by switching. Your info through steam is still probably saved in the cloud, but it will definitely be a safer move to do the VRChat account first.

Actually if you meant it made no sense for the video to be posted at all, that's fair. I recently was finally able to get fiber to my home. The stream is far better quality than anything I could do previously. I shared it to KZread with friends and existing followers in mind. So yes it may not make sense to a new viewer, but this is why it's on the channel. Also Twitch doesn't have the same music rights as KZread. Exporting the videos immediately to KZread prevents twitch from muting them.

@@bicyclingbum1551 Thank you. I intend to keep improving my setup, for example for this the camera was at my PC for another purpose. I haven't been able to host a quality camera stream before now, so it will take me a little while to sort out a way to be interactive during sets. I do plan to reach a point where I can interact live and have only the set audio without I interruption on replays. This set also featured a VRchat world as part of the test. It wasn't an actual event though. I learned I will have to turn off the world lighting or else it will be pointless to stream it in the future.

I suspect the issue is with Google or with whoever creates the video players that VRChat uses. Whatever the big is, it's not in VRChat's control. So I think it will come down to an update to fix it, but that's just so everyone can get the fix without having to manually replace the file(s). They could certainly do this the day it gets fixed, but if it's close to another update they might lump them together. Since Twitch stress work this isn't nearly as massive as it could have been. It was bad timing for me though. I was trying to do some setup using a video before switching to a live stream. So I spent more time than I meant to spend on everything trying to troubleshoot the problem only to learn it wasn't with my installation.

I didn't get straight to the most important point, but after reviewing this several times, I believe it is to the point enough to serve it's purpose. Also the behavior towards kids I struggled to describe is just hard to describe because I can't bring myself to give a graphic example of what I observed. So imagine the ERP that young adults mutually engage in. Then imagine someone directing that without restraint towards a known child. It's completely wrong of course, but I believe the intent is for shock value trolling maybe stemming from a resentment of so many kids degrading the VR experience. I think the actual likelihood of kids having a dangerous encounter with a predator in VR is extremely low, but potentially damaging and harmful interactions are very high. The rules and guidance I give my son have this sort of thing in mind far more than actually believing any adult could succeed in gaining physical access to him. It's a danger that I suspect parents who have little or no experience with VR cannot even imagine existing. It does, and they need to be diligent to protect their kids.

I was using a fresh install of OBS because of a recent issue. I did not realize it streams desktop audio by default because my previous installation did not. Unfortunately, the beginning of the set is interrupted by notification alerts before I caught on. My set ended when Serato had a bizarre glitch requiring a restart to resolve. I knew the video quality would be terrible. I only intended a brief stream test and then I was going to record a set for future upload. I will have fiber soon.

If you're looking to get into VR and under a budget than most headsets on the market the cv1 rift is the one to go but I tell you right now in 2022 do not I repeat do not pay more than $150 per headset and then in the time that your cable takes a shit just spend another $150 on another CB1 rift I am currently on my second one with a third in my drawer as a backup

They are working on official support. They said in their own testing FSR was not beneficial, but since people want it they intend to deliver. But yes, the FSR mod no longer works. In my case an update apparently caused the mod to stop working a long time ago without any differences that caught my attention. Since it wasn't a client mod, I am probably not the only one this happened to. The FSR mod is certainly something harmless that EAC blocks, but it's not anything to be distraught over especially with official support in the works.

ChilloutVR officially allows mods and mature content (with integrated content filter.). i wouldn't say those are minor differences. VRChat will continue to "clean up" and sterilize its plattform - make it kiddy friendly so to speak - so it's a good thing that the adults have an alternative to go to.

Yes I have learned that they have a sanctioned modding group which means they hope to allow mods they deem safe. They haven't ever had enough users to attract malicious mod creators to their game yet either. If ChilloutVR truly gains traction because of this "event" then they will have to make policies and decisions based on reality, not just on what they believe users want. Another consideration is after all of VRChat's QOL improvements just what non-toxic features are people going to want mod access for? They need to change games, re-upload content possibly, and make a mostly fresh start on friends from a drastically smaller community, and more just to have the option of what mod feature? Then mods get broken by game updates, so what set of features will be worth that hassle verses what Vrchat is actually adding to their client? I'm just making points because I have them to make, BTW. I am making them so that people can consider them, so please don't mistake this as a contest or argument with you. At the end of the day everyone should go with the platform that truly fits their needs and wants. With that let me say that the adults that matter to me are either not concerned about NSFW content or would rather it be reigned in. A lot of good and decent people enjoy that side of VRC, but in reality that activity suggests immaturity to other adults. I for one hope to help people discover that there are more to be found playing the game than screaming kids on one side and virtual porn roleplay on the other. I think more people would welcome some reigning in of NSFW content on VRC than would stop playing over it. I guess I'm actually in that group myself except that I would rather the game err on the side of freedom rather than restrictions. I don't care what people do in private of course, and I'm not personally offended by NSFW content at all. I'm also not everybody, so I don't get outraged when VRChat doesn't aim to please me and me alone with an update. Case in point the one QOL feature I have requested and needed the most is the ability to deactivate video players in club worlds. Seems easy enough to do but it has never been done, and with my DSL I literally can't join the majority of my friends at DJ events, etc. It never crossed my mind to see if a mod exists that does it. Also as a DJ I wanted to use a Leap Motion for hand tracking with a setup. I learned that was done via mod only so I ruled it out as an option because I was looking for a sustainable setup. Ultimately losing the option to use mods should not be a deal breaker for anyone who enjoys the legitimate game, and I don't believe it was. This whole thing was the result of an immature, selfish, entitled portion of the community using a very trivial group of disabled people as cover for their selfish outrage. So while those people only cared about themselves and wanted VRChat to pay a price for them not getting their way, the reality is VRChat is still addressing the legitmate issues for the benefit of those who were truly affected by them. I'm personally impressed, that the game I already enjoy is getting better, the toxic people were not rewarded for their toxicity, and people who may not have ever made themselves a priority will now no longer need mods to play the game. It worked out for good, IMO.

Well for full disclosure I did not research Chillout VR's TOS myself but saw a screenshot from someone else. If they aren't it's just because they haven't had a user base large enough for malicious people to bother with. I'm sure the malicious mod users would certainly like for users to go to a less secure platform with them rather than to play VRC without them. As for EAC, I already play Fortnite, so yet again, I'm unaffected by VRChat using it too. I want VRChat to do something to improve on issues rather than nothing. If they make a wrong turn along the way I have the sense to give them a chance to respond to feedback. Apparently a large portion of their users don't. So my point still stands. If people are unaffected then they should just continue to enjoy the game. If they are affected then they should give feedback through more appropriate methods or simply leave the game. I believe the review bombing and other toxic nonsense has been instigated by malicious mod users who baited normies into playing along. Ultimately, EAC will work for VRChat because the malicious people are going to take their stuff over to ChilloutVR if enough people go there to be their targets.

I have played ChilloutVR, and it was nothing special. Truly just a clone without the user base of VRC. It's not good for this type of social VR and user freedom to divide the community, but when such a large part of that community doesn't appreciate what they have not much can be done about it.

And an even better point. I don't know whether or not EAC is spywear but I definitely know that all meta devices are. Funny how that's a mute point when people want their cheap hardware to be "da shit" but when their mods get blocked they have a privacy concern. This whole fiasco lacks legitimacy. It's just a large portion of a user base who cannot be pleased plus some easily influenced people just going with the apparent flow as well. The people who are legitimately affected for non-malicious reasons would have never handled this this way, but the malicious community certainly would and did.

@@digitalstyx_est.2018 meta users and pcvr mod users are two separate groups. just because meta users don't have any privacy concerns doesn't mean pc/pcvr users don't have them. also: the "raise for concern" regarding this security update was spearheaded by knah, a respected founder/member of the "wholesome" vrc modding community, in his vrchat canny thread where he laid out why eac shouldn't be implemented. a thread that got over 23k upvotes by vrc community members.

As a whole the community is too selfish for that level of concern about a relative (to the user base) handful of people who needed accessibility mods. So is everyone going to pretend the malicious mod creators and users are simply being silent and accepting the change? Let's be real. They most certainly are not. Can they motivate the community to feel sorry for them? No. Can they exploit a more legitimate scenario to stir up a fuss. Not only can they, but this is exactly what they are doing. Knah may be completely legit, but that doesn't mean the people who liked his post are. There has never been this level of reaction to a VRChat update before although there have been plenty that upset people in the past. The difference this time is the most toxic part of the community has been targeted by the update which is why the response has been the most toxic ever. They found a way to strike back, and it's sad how many people have taken the bait.

In this case I think she thought she was making her lie more believable by claiming she had made mistakes...but the gross nature of the mistakes she claims to have made show she lacks the judgment and/or concern needed to keep my children safe. More than that, if she sees opportunity in a blatant lie and false accusation one can only imagine how useful she might find a real assault. She cannot be trusted to even want to keep my kids safe. Again. I have zero basis to believe Aaron is guilty of anything here. That includes a very substantial conversation with him that was only possible because he responded to me. Frankly he seems to be one of the best people I've ever known to be around my kids while in Tricia's care.

Thank you. I would have liked for this to be better than it was. It might have been had I had less technical difficulties before actually being able to stream it. Back trouble cut it short. My family is so toxic that no one even told me he had passed. Absolutely everyone who could have and should have reached out to me but didn't is dead to me now. They probably already were, but with this situation I am resolved. I'll never say never, but I don't have to. They will never acknowledge anything that must be acknowledged to move forward.

Thanks. I really enjoy this game and now that I have a good setup for my setup, I hope I will get time to play it on a regular basis. Wreckfest is the perfect blend of sim and arcade in my opinion. I find it satisfying from a physic's standpoint, and just extremely fun with the derby element. If I progress as I hope to then I'd love to throw in some Dirt Rally and other racing. At my current level those are more stressful than fun. I think Wreckfest experience will transfer quite well.

Just something I found useful in this game...I like to have my brakes biased to the rear, that way I can get the rear end to kick out on the sharper corners and you can drift around them. For me at least it helps keep the car under control.
Thanks for the tip. I will try that out. I was doing the front to slam them before the turn but then I was using the wheel and gas to try to drift it. So it does make sense to have the brakes help start the process instead.
Horrendous racing even for me. I had hoped to build off of the night before, but not at all. I'm leaving the recording up with the goal that my next one is better. It's a low bar, I know, but it can only go up from there.

Thanks for commenting. Yes I have discovered this issue on a few recorded mixes. When I stream the volume is perfect but when I record it is low. Now that I have fiber I can stream every set on Twitch then export to KZread before Twitch mutes the audio. I have been busy lately with financial survival, but I am still adding music to my collection plus getting inspired. I should have more sets soon.

It's called "Somewhere only we know " originally made by a guy for him and his girt to share apparently. It is small but still cool to check out. The avatars were probably avatars they used. Now we have a lot of favorite slots,but then it was only 16. Pretty smart if he was using his world to free up favorites.

I just started playing again last month, spent like 6 hours over the past few days trying to get video players to work. Never seen one actually play before. Was in a full theater last week, and it seemed to be working for everyone else but not me... so I'm assuming it's working for others again? KZread URLs don't work, built-in movies don't work either, tried multiple worlds, always the Invalid URL error.
Make sure you have the "all untrusted URL's" option checked. I'm assuming you are playing on PC if you are struggling with video players. It's certainly possible to have file issues with your installation which can make it difficult to solve if that setting is not your issue. I recommend verifying your files as a next step. Hopefully you are playing through Steam. Since Valve is a gaming focused company they give better options for managing game files. If you are not playing through Steam and the issue seems to be your local installation, then installing SteamVR and then VRChat on Steam should fix your issue and be a better long-term way to run the game. There are other possibilities and options that can be found online. I'm not sure how many might be relative to any issue happening today, but might as well try things that have. worked for other people. Back to Quest, I know for some apps upgrades before launching are optional. It's possible VRChat included the fix for the last issue with a minor update that did not require an update to play. Be sure to check for any missed or postponed updates.
@@digitalstyx_est.2018 Thanks for such a detailed response! Playing on Steam on PC in Desktop mode. Allow Untrusted URLs is checked. Verified integrity of files. Game is up to date. Tried manually replacing yt-dlp with the latest update from github. Tried deleting expired certificates (there were none), tried adding new certificates from VRChat's help site, tried disabling firewalls, manually allowing yt-dlp to bypass the firewall, using a VPN... Checked for Windows updates, Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable told me it was already installed when I tried to install it, Window Media Feature pack is not in the list of programs to add in settings and manually downloading/running it says it's not compatible with my Windows install (or something along those lines), reset the computer every couple fixes and checked VRC to see if it works. Not sure if I will keep all my favorite worlds if I try to fully uninstall the game as that's the one thing I have yet to do (using Steam account to log in, not VRC account).
@@MetroAndroid Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions for fixing it short of trying the fresh install. When/if you install on Steam you can and should use your VRChat account. Your favorites are saved in the cloud not locally, so they will still be there as well. I misread your post. Go to VRChat.com and use their migrate feature to switch to a VRChat account and you should not lose anything by switching. Your info through steam is still probably saved in the cloud, but it will definitely be a safer move to do the VRChat account first.

Actually if you meant it made no sense for the video to be posted at all, that's fair. I recently was finally able to get fiber to my home. The stream is far better quality than anything I could do previously. I shared it to KZread with friends and existing followers in mind. So yes it may not make sense to a new viewer, but this is why it's on the channel. Also Twitch doesn't have the same music rights as KZread. Exporting the videos immediately to KZread prevents twitch from muting them.
@@bicyclingbum1551 Thank you. I intend to keep improving my setup, for example for this the camera was at my PC for another purpose. I haven't been able to host a quality camera stream before now, so it will take me a little while to sort out a way to be interactive during sets. I do plan to reach a point where I can interact live and have only the set audio without I interruption on replays. This set also featured a VRchat world as part of the test. It wasn't an actual event though. I learned I will have to turn off the world lighting or else it will be pointless to stream it in the future.

I suspect the issue is with Google or with whoever creates the video players that VRChat uses. Whatever the big is, it's not in VRChat's control. So I think it will come down to an update to fix it, but that's just so everyone can get the fix without having to manually replace the file(s). They could certainly do this the day it gets fixed, but if it's close to another update they might lump them together. Since Twitch stress work this isn't nearly as massive as it could have been. It was bad timing for me though. I was trying to do some setup using a video before switching to a live stream. So I spent more time than I meant to spend on everything trying to troubleshoot the problem only to learn it wasn't with my installation.
Update: Twitch Live Streams still work.
Either it is still processing or my beat saber camera settings are set to a low resolution. The quality should be better and it seems like it is with my Avatar. Maybe next time...
At some point during this I muted myself accidentally. So who knows what people in the instance thought I was doing when that occurred, lol. Improvements should be coming to my next attempt at this.
I didn't get straight to the most important point, but after reviewing this several times, I believe it is to the point enough to serve it's purpose. Also the behavior towards kids I struggled to describe is just hard to describe because I can't bring myself to give a graphic example of what I observed. So imagine the ERP that young adults mutually engage in. Then imagine someone directing that without restraint towards a known child. It's completely wrong of course, but I believe the intent is for shock value trolling maybe stemming from a resentment of so many kids degrading the VR experience. I think the actual likelihood of kids having a dangerous encounter with a predator in VR is extremely low, but potentially damaging and harmful interactions are very high. The rules and guidance I give my son have this sort of thing in mind far more than actually believing any adult could succeed in gaining physical access to him. It's a danger that I suspect parents who have little or no experience with VR cannot even imagine existing. It does, and they need to be diligent to protect their kids.

I was using a fresh install of OBS because of a recent issue. I did not realize it streams desktop audio by default because my previous installation did not. Unfortunately, the beginning of the set is interrupted by notification alerts before I caught on. My set ended when Serato had a bizarre glitch requiring a restart to resolve. I knew the video quality would be terrible. I only intended a brief stream test and then I was going to record a set for future upload. I will have fiber soon.

The grip is great. It is Stable and fast. After the hot summer break I'm back on Expert+. To navigate menus I press the trigger button is hard to reach and now I use my thumb.

If you're looking to get into VR and under a budget than most headsets on the market the cv1 rift is the one to go but I tell you right now in 2022 do not I repeat do not pay more than $150 per headset and then in the time that your cable takes a shit just spend another $150 on another CB1 rift I am currently on my second one with a third in my drawer as a backup

They are working on official support. They said in their own testing FSR was not beneficial, but since people want it they intend to deliver. But yes, the FSR mod no longer works. In my case an update apparently caused the mod to stop working a long time ago without any differences that caught my attention. Since it wasn't a client mod, I am probably not the only one this happened to. The FSR mod is certainly something harmless that EAC blocks, but it's not anything to be distraught over especially with official support in the works.

ChilloutVR officially allows mods and mature content (with integrated content filter.). i wouldn't say those are minor differences. VRChat will continue to "clean up" and sterilize its plattform - make it kiddy friendly so to speak - so it's a good thing that the adults have an alternative to go to.
Yes I have learned that they have a sanctioned modding group which means they hope to allow mods they deem safe. They haven't ever had enough users to attract malicious mod creators to their game yet either. If ChilloutVR truly gains traction because of this "event" then they will have to make policies and decisions based on reality, not just on what they believe users want. Another consideration is after all of VRChat's QOL improvements just what non-toxic features are people going to want mod access for? They need to change games, re-upload content possibly, and make a mostly fresh start on friends from a drastically smaller community, and more just to have the option of what mod feature? Then mods get broken by game updates, so what set of features will be worth that hassle verses what Vrchat is actually adding to their client? I'm just making points because I have them to make, BTW. I am making them so that people can consider them, so please don't mistake this as a contest or argument with you. At the end of the day everyone should go with the platform that truly fits their needs and wants. With that let me say that the adults that matter to me are either not concerned about NSFW content or would rather it be reigned in. A lot of good and decent people enjoy that side of VRC, but in reality that activity suggests immaturity to other adults. I for one hope to help people discover that there are more to be found playing the game than screaming kids on one side and virtual porn roleplay on the other. I think more people would welcome some reigning in of NSFW content on VRC than would stop playing over it. I guess I'm actually in that group myself except that I would rather the game err on the side of freedom rather than restrictions. I don't care what people do in private of course, and I'm not personally offended by NSFW content at all. I'm also not everybody, so I don't get outraged when VRChat doesn't aim to please me and me alone with an update. Case in point the one QOL feature I have requested and needed the most is the ability to deactivate video players in club worlds. Seems easy enough to do but it has never been done, and with my DSL I literally can't join the majority of my friends at DJ events, etc. It never crossed my mind to see if a mod exists that does it. Also as a DJ I wanted to use a Leap Motion for hand tracking with a setup. I learned that was done via mod only so I ruled it out as an option because I was looking for a sustainable setup. Ultimately losing the option to use mods should not be a deal breaker for anyone who enjoys the legitimate game, and I don't believe it was. This whole thing was the result of an immature, selfish, entitled portion of the community using a very trivial group of disabled people as cover for their selfish outrage. So while those people only cared about themselves and wanted VRChat to pay a price for them not getting their way, the reality is VRChat is still addressing the legitmate issues for the benefit of those who were truly affected by them. I'm personally impressed, that the game I already enjoy is getting better, the toxic people were not rewarded for their toxicity, and people who may not have ever made themselves a priority will now no longer need mods to play the game. It worked out for good, IMO.

Well for full disclosure I did not research Chillout VR's TOS myself but saw a screenshot from someone else. If they aren't it's just because they haven't had a user base large enough for malicious people to bother with. I'm sure the malicious mod users would certainly like for users to go to a less secure platform with them rather than to play VRC without them. As for EAC, I already play Fortnite, so yet again, I'm unaffected by VRChat using it too. I want VRChat to do something to improve on issues rather than nothing. If they make a wrong turn along the way I have the sense to give them a chance to respond to feedback. Apparently a large portion of their users don't. So my point still stands. If people are unaffected then they should just continue to enjoy the game. If they are affected then they should give feedback through more appropriate methods or simply leave the game. I believe the review bombing and other toxic nonsense has been instigated by malicious mod users who baited normies into playing along. Ultimately, EAC will work for VRChat because the malicious people are going to take their stuff over to ChilloutVR if enough people go there to be their targets.
I have played ChilloutVR, and it was nothing special. Truly just a clone without the user base of VRC. It's not good for this type of social VR and user freedom to divide the community, but when such a large part of that community doesn't appreciate what they have not much can be done about it.
And an even better point. I don't know whether or not EAC is spywear but I definitely know that all meta devices are. Funny how that's a mute point when people want their cheap hardware to be "da shit" but when their mods get blocked they have a privacy concern. This whole fiasco lacks legitimacy. It's just a large portion of a user base who cannot be pleased plus some easily influenced people just going with the apparent flow as well. The people who are legitimately affected for non-malicious reasons would have never handled this this way, but the malicious community certainly would and did.
