    Nice. I had a rev 2 Pro 5 many many moons ago and sadly it was the most temperamental synth. Broke down 3 times in 6 months. Id send it off to get fixed, it would return, work for a few days then die again. I did some research and it turns out the rev 2 was a very flaky version. After the third crash I sold it for a loss 😕. Shame as when it did work it made the most beautiful sound.

Sadly living in my country (Argentina) makes it more difficult to get a Sequential synth (besides the high inflation that is still increasing), all the import taxes makes that if you want to get one you end paying almost the double of the original price. • @hvegel
    @hvegel26 күн бұрын

    yes, and a lovely controller it is! i am wildly fond of the OB-6. despite having a go with an OB-X8, weirdly preferred it over the OB, enjoy the UI, immensely, love the SEM filter, even the fx are rather usable from time to time. it's big and organic sounding. but a bit more of a pillowy and brighter sort of sound, given the character of the juicy 2 pole filter. for me the Prophet is a bit of a dark and more brooding sound, in general, and if having to go with only one, would go with P5, but this pairing, these two synths together, best synth combo i have ever had, and i have had a LOT of different combos.

I adored the Matriarch, but it felt a bit too much of a luxury item, in my setup to not be a proper polyphonic synth (for pads, stabs, etc.) It felt like a big gorgeous modular lab, and at this present moment I wanted more "work horse" type synths.
