This is amazing 🤩
alas, poor Bill . . . .
This was brilliant. And nuts!
Cringe
imagine being a lesbian in shakespeare's time- especially in this 'taming of the shrew. U have 2 choices: 1 - run away to stay alone, die alone. 2- force yourself to like, respect, and maybe eventually love a man.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🩷🩷💕😭🔥🔥
Not Mark Rylance.
The Shakespeare comedy that feels like a comedy in the modern sense of the word. 😂 so good.
Is this 6 inches longer than that 6 inches?
Very nice !...
Hey lad! Don’t you want a little wager on the Rattay tourney?
Not that much common sense, you would have needed to hear this information before. I first heard this from my history teacher
I love the Romeo and Juliet play from Shakespeares globe. Phenomenal:
Can you tell me when Mozart will come out with his next album then?
Probably after Half Life 3
vocal fry will never not be annoying
…hope one day we get a production of Sir Thomas More at Shakespeare's Globe one day!!!
The moment when Malvolio drops the ring could have been enhanced with humor. Stephen Fry's performance was truly captivating and beautifully executed.
I absolutely loved this production. It was just straight up fun. All you need to know!
Yes!!!!!!
1:25 When Richard deplores being reduced to seeing his shadow in the sun, a great actor would never point to the sun while reciting those lines. It makes no sense.
Never forget bro delivered the coldest lines in Harry Potter. He's got this 💯
Cut the mentions of his being ". . . deformed, unfinished . . " because of the controversy of casting an abled actor and so she didn't need to play deformed. Btw, Olivier brought in lines from Richard's appearances in previous plays.
WTF?
Shakespeare is rather an incomprehensible old windbag, isn't he . From michael from Yorkshire and proud of it .
I remember watching Michelle Terry as Hamlet in the Shakespeare's Globe video production of that play. Awesome! So glad she is taking her turn as Richard III. Riveting, wry delivery!
This sucks.
They cut out all the mentioning of Richard’s deformity from this speech. Why?
@@davidworobec1673 cause it' not democratically correct..
It is the job of the director to translate the play according to their own vision, emphasizing what speaks to their time and idea.
Worth mentioning that this is a mash-up of Gloucester's speeches from Richard III (I.i) and Henry VI Part 3 (II.i, III.ii, V.vi, and possibly others?). (I didn't know that by heart, but I do Gloucester's opening speech by heart, so looked up some of the differing parts).
Please, no!
The sun is a paid actor 1:26
I got distracted by all the punches on “our.” It didn’t make sense. I didn’t think “bad actor,” but I did think “bad choices.”
it's contrasting all thr "ours" in the first half of the speech to all of the "I"s in the second half I suppose.
no
Absolutely spell binding.
Who is the actor? Seems worth mentioning..
Michelle Terry! She's wonderful :)
Terry has been artistic director at the Shakespeare's Globe for a few years now.
@@happilyhadesbound Thanks!

I have been studying shakespeare
Twelfth night is my favourite shakespeare play
I want to be like that I am older
Fantastic rendition
Looks like Worzel Gummidge. Why cut and paste sections of speeches?
I think she's a great actress!
Just love David Dawson, so versatile & as Alfred in The Last Kingdom was superb
will you release a video tape available to buy? I saw the show the other day and I'm ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED! I want to rewatch it again and again
YET 👏I 👏AM 👏WELL👏
Finally - some Shakespearean costumes

I adore these little snippets of Shakespeare! More, please!
What a disgrace...

I though the globe was a rowdy space...hard to imagine getting a chance to whisper one's lines
