I went to GAME specifically to buy FIFA, but the guy working there convinced me that ISS was better, so I got it. I loved it, played it endlessly, for years! Years later I tried FIFA 64 and it was dreadful. That guy did me a real solid that day!

One thing I really really hated about this game is it's physics. It is soooo off and awkward to the point I can't bear myself to play it. Especially comparing to other racing games in this era. No matter how hard I try to tweak the suspensions, handling, etc. the driving feels shit. And I've played some sim racers too that demand precision and I can still race and control properly. But this one is just a**. For comparison... Compare this to Rally Cross on the PS1, that game is more playable than this.
A family friendly Resident Evil-inspired game starring Scooby Doo was an amazing concept. Missed opportunity here.

Not quite, this was always a genesis game first and then happened to be ported to pretty much every other system under the sun due to its popularity. I’d love an n64 game through and through and so perhaps Kaze’s new super Mario game will scratch that itch when he completes it
I got this game when it first came out and I still have the cart and box for it.

My first ever N64 game! For a while this was the only game I had until I bought Goldeneye some time later, but I was able to replay this game so many times trying to get personal best times using all the cars, and given the different strategies for each one only having 3 tracks became less of a dealbreaker for me

Man the memories, I use to play this everyday back when I was a child.
To me it was the opposite. As a teen when this was released I didn't like it. I was not a big fan of realistic racing games and I'd rather play Mario Kart, Diddy or F-Zero. I found the controls very floaty with boring music and gameplay. Fast forward 20 years I got this for my N64 collection and I've been surprised how much I'm loving this game. It's not perfect but I feel it's very enjoyable and has aged very well. The music is great I love it, it's calm but beautiful, something I could listen for hours. The control yeah it's a bit floaty but with practice you get used to it, I personally prefer the smallest steering wheel for the controls. Only bad thing for me is having only 4 tracks (5 but you have to unlock it). But yeah, as an adult now I appreciate racing games more and I got a bunch for N64, this is the one I keep coming back more.
I think it may be due to getting older….wanting things to be a slower pace, calmer to contrast modern life. At the time it was released I remember everything marketing wise was hyper but now cozy type games seem to have found a niche audience

I finally played this game today and I disagree about multiplayer. I had a total blast with my friend with multiplayer and I honestly like it more than golden eye. Old video but still a good review.

Rareware should never ever have been allowed to have been bought up by Microsoft. Rare and Nintendo were a perfect match.
Microsoft wanted to pay and Nintendo didn’t want to exercise their right they had to buy so was a no brainer
This game is on Switch Online but sadly it is borked full of problems. These include but not limited to: -Audio has lower sound quality -The X track in Carrington Villa is missing -Light goes through Joanah's guns -Explosions are more dim and there's no debris -The blurry effect is broken -Shooting TANKS the framerate -Some UV and Textures are broken And there's noticeable input delay, wrong sensitivity and the online multiplayer is unplayable. Which causes problems during gameplay.
“Watching Bond at Christmas” - it’s funny you mention that. For years during my Christmas break from school they would do a days-long Bond movie marathon, and that’s where I first saw all of the classics. And I’m in the US. Between that, and getting this game for Christmas, I have always somewhat associated Bond with Christmas.
