Remember seeing one at an airshow, real TopGun lite vibe with the cannon barrels protruding from the super sleek nose. Was the most elegant fighter of its day for me. The nose shape is a masterpiece, not quite oval in section, tapering to that almost literal shark nose shape.

Incredible patience & dexterity at micro scale scratch building cockpit paraphernalia... Suggesting years of experience aka practice. Explaining why I'm watching, you're building. Have executed various 'creative' projects in my life so far... they all pretty much ended up a cringe fest. I respect my younger self for trying. Nowadays would be diagnosed ADHD. Then: "didn't try hard enough" was about as much support as I got.

Wow! excellent build. The Miskasa is the only British-built battleship still in existence. It's a shame that the UK, a country that revolutionised shipbuilding, never bothered to preserve any of its ships for the nation. At least Japan preserved Miskasa...

Getting the masking tape to conform to the curves better by making small cuts is a great idea. I never thought of that. Thanks for sharing. The finished helo looks great.

Enjoyable video, thank you! I've been experimenting with different colours for panel lining and washes; try a grey liner or make one with black and white oils. Even add a touch of blue... works a treat, much less harsh, less contrasty but enough to create the 'shadow'. As always, images of the real thing are really useful.
