    I’m going to Japan for 11 days including travel time and staying in 2 to 3 city’s. Bringing minimal clothing, and planning to do some shopping and bring stuff home. Would a carry on suitcase 40L and a 40L backpack be better. Or one 100L suitcase and no backpack? This is not only my first time going to Japan but my first time out of the 50th state, this is all new to me. Any help would be appreciated Mahalos 🤙🏽

  • @JapanandMoreTours
    @JapanandMoreTours2 ай бұрын

    I don’t know where exactly you’re going in Funabashi, but it looks like the Keikyu line to Funabashikeibajo would be your best bet. It’s one train with no transfers. Keep in mind that the last train departure is at 10:17pm. With an 8pm arrival, this might be tight! We suggest staying one night at a hotel at the airport and then catching the train to your destination the following day.

Is this possible, considering I want to avoid the excessive crowds in both museums. Furthermore, I want to take some nice pictures with the Laputa Robot on top of the Ghibli Museum. You guys live in Japan. Tourist lives in a hotel with small trash can that can fit one meal of bento. If you stay in the hotel for a week it will not fit. Not everyone wants a maid in your room everyday. So I put the trash in front of the door. Japan should have more trash can in public. Have the hotel pay for it. Hotels like APA hotel are doubling the hotel price in USD not in yen. If Japanese tourism companies are exploting Japanese worker by keeping the profits they should use that extra money that they are pocketing to help pay for tourism infrastructure. Japanese companies should pay their workers a fair wage so Japanese people will work in the tour industry instead of moving to Australia to do farming. Japanese companies are speeding up the population decline in Japan.

  • @usercaf
    @usercaf2 ай бұрын

    In Japan, there used to be a lot of trash cans in parks, but there aren't any anymore. The reason is counter-terrorism measures. It may be difficult for people who come for sightseeing, but the reason there is no trash on the roads in Japan is because there are people who take it home and volunteer to pick up trash. If you want to throw away small food waste, just throw it away when you go shopping at a convenience store. It is bad manners to throw away trash without buying anything.

  • @masajo928
    @masajo9282 ай бұрын

    @@usercaf then Japan should put garbage can everywhere. Japan now needs tourism to survive. I put my trash in front of my hotel room because the trash can isn't big enough. Image if you visit Japan for a week with a small trash can. It will not fit. You might not understand because maybe you have not done a long oversea travel and only live in Japan. I just arrived Japan today. On the news it was talking about travelers at Lawson's by Mt Fuji. Yeah... Japan is hopeless. Bagging on tourist like 15 years ago when I was living in Japan like the IT industry. Look at Japan now. Look what the Japanese media got Japan into. Becoming a hopeless country.

  • @masajo928

    @@usercaf yeah. You must be watching Japanese TV. Just arrived Japan today and still on TV bagging on Tourist at Mt Fuji Lawson. Maybe if the tourist was white the reaction might be different who knows. Blaming tourist without a solution. Japan was like that 15 years ago when I lived there and still the same. Bagging on the IT industry making them look bad and making Japan hopeless. Nothing changed. Japanese can't do disruptive innovation. Japan need General MacArthur again to reform the country.

    As far as I know, Smart EX only works with a registered Suica Card that has a credit card linked to it. I’m not 100% sure if it works with the Welcome Suica Card. If you have an iPhone, you can get a registered Suica through Apple Wallet and link it to a credit card in your wallet. Then you just use your phone as a Suica Card. That’s what we do. It’s super easy and it’s great for recharging the Suica. Never have to find a charge machine. Just do it through Apple Wallet.

  • @JapanandMoreTours

    The buses stop pretty early. Your best bet is to catch the Keikyu Airport Line to Yokohama. Then you’ll either have to change to the metro to Nihon-Odori Station or take a taxi to the Hyatt. A taxi from Yokohama station to the Hyatt should run you about 1,300 to 1,500 yen. A taxi from HND will probably run you about 8,000 to 10,000 yen.

    The staying close to the train station is good info for Japan in general! People seem to become more and more aware of that. If you look at the booking sites, it's the places close to the stations that fill up quickest. Book well in advance if you want to take advantage of that knowledge. They did face time on bus, in Zen Medication, stepped on the floor after put on the shoes, they cut the line getting into bus. They put their feet in the chair to put the shoes on, they talked in the bus, bullet train. I am not sure their original country, but I saw they read Russian on the phone. They made local people have an unpleasant look at tourists. Does not matter we like the ways local does or not, we should respect local residents and at least to practice the same way as local doest at time visiting their country. There are a lots of things people around the would should learn from Japanese. BTY, I am not a Japanese.

This also goes for getting in/out of the train gate. Don't stop right in front of the gate and grab your ticket or ic card. Have it ready before you start to pass through.
