Makoto Tea

I’m Trinity, also known as Makoto (MakotoTea), and I am a Spanish-American illustrator, designer, small business owner, and vlogger! My illustrations tend to be a mix of cute and gore, yes I'm in love with slashers, ALOT. I try my best to incorporate my kawaii-ness with my love for all things gore and horror. I like to spend my free time playing Pokémon, exploring new places, going to buy my 5th boba tea of the week, and daydreaming about Jeff. I hope you enjoy my channel!

Thing is you guys have to speak up about it or it will never be solved and never change. The people need to learn how to take critiques that can even help them grow as a con too. Oh they are unhappy about the complaints from multiple people well that's on them to look at what they are doing and to change because if it's more the one person saying the same thing then they gotta realize they are doing something wrong themselves. Know yalls worth <3 It takes a voice to change something. Also I'm just finding you you have beautiful artwork.

Thank you so much!! ✨️💖😭 Also very valid point!! It just feels awful when a convention absolutely hates you because you spoke out.

@makototeaarts It's a difference between just speaking on the complaints, which can come off as insults, and just adding in some helpful criticism to help better something. It sounds like you had a good time their otherwise, so speak about the good time you had too. So it's not all bad, you have to say. That's what makes it a critique to genuinely help them grow as well as standing up for yourself a fellow artists, so something like this doesn't happen again if you do want to go back. Those complaints are valid, and conventions look over the fact that artists bring the most traffic to conventions like you were saying there are a lot of people who only go to the artist alley. And you don't know if they are going to hate you. I think it's your mind over thinking it a bit, causing you to worry about it. In a way, you actually saved their convention by speaking up and seeing them like, "Oh crap we messed up. We gotta do something." Since I bet if they didn't have an artist alley, then they would have had a lot of unhappy attendees that would probably not want to go to their conventions anymore. Everything happens for a reason. It's your choice to speak about it or not. Your choices are valid. Your feelings are valid. I don't know if you believe in the chakras or not, but if you do, I can suggest looking into clearing your root chakra and throat chakra. :)

@@Drogskol333 Thank you so much for all of the good advice!! QwQ I struggle a lot with just complaining about things so I'm trying to tone it down and be positive for once but honestly hearing your advice on speaking about not only the bad but the good and giving good critiques makes me want to make a video on the topic. As for chakras, I've never dabbled into that part of spiritualism, I grew up in a spiritual household but chakras wasn't something we touched upon. But now I'm interested!! I'll definitely look into that owo

@@makototeaarts I just bring up the chakra because when they are clear they can help with staying grounded and able to help bring your voice forward to get things out/explained clearly on topic you are passionate about. :) I'm glad my ramblings can be of some help. Have a great time on your artist journey <3 It's nice seeing people go after their dreams and do what they love to do.

I've been trying to contact Anime A about booth spaces for artist alley or even vendor booths practically since they started this con and they never answer. Whether it's email, DM or comments I've never gotten a response from them. So I can imagine they treat yall bad

They don't respond to any of us unfortunately. They will happily respond to people inquiring about buying tickets tho... the best you can do is just watch their Instagram closely.

I'm glad you did say something about the anime Arizona. Cause even though you don't want to be in the drama (100% understandable I don't like being it in either). If you didn't say anything on the social media page. It would probably turn out much worse. Plus I never new how popular Artist Alley stuff were till I finally wanted to go to my first convention to meet some voice actors and saw how popular artist alley vidoes where on KZread and how excited people got for them. Which made me hype for Artist Alley as well.

I've always seen artist alley as an important part of conventions, not because I'm a artist but because I grew up going to conventions and only wanted to walk around artist alley. Panels and other things weren't fun for me (they still kinda arent) because I just can't sit still. It's why I don't like watching movies either! So I think maybe there's other people like me too. But how close Anime Arizona had gotten to not having it at all really baffled me. They would have also received so much back lash, especially from the attendees they lied to on their website about "expanded artist alley". This was their 2nd year too. 🥲
