  You could just take a picture of the boat and make the template from the picture and then just put you length and width into your program and it will convert it to what ever scale you want. Then just make your design on the scaled picture of the boat then print that design and boom

  Awesome! Thanks! I watched the last video was going to ask in the comments for this exact explanation of how to measure. I always used laser and measuring tapes to get somewhat close but nothing really can compensate for the inward curve of the boat. I also have make cut out template with backing and tried to get a large scale scan with cell cam but is more accurate with some stuff. This is the most accurate but far, if only vehicles could be as simple as boats lol

  Awesome job... I have a maxum and Im thinking about wrapping it. verses painting.. how durable is the wrap in the water? Lake and Salt? any peeling?

  If you want to print Grey Scale with the Magenta or Cyan tint.. you need to save the file out with t right settings.. Also what lighting is in your room? Different types of artificial lights will make a grey scale CMYK print look like it is tinted under that lighting..... Take the sample out side in the natural light. Also consider what lighting the final destination will have.

  There is no "Kit" .. This is made from a roll of 3M Carbon Fiber wrap film. Individually cut for this ski. Its a case if time and patience if you wan to do this style.

  Your referring to a very old video.... Its a very old printer that I have not owned for 10 years or more... Any more modern print er will be faster even a cheap Chinese made printer. I personally like quality Genuine printers and inks for best quality and no fading.

  Yes. You can wrap plate, clinker or molded sides. I have a video on the Clinker sides too.

  The original cleaning cartridges had noisy wipers. They are not noisy anymore as they changes the design to make it quiet.

  What vinyl do you use to print on that’s marine grade

  "Marine Grade" vinyl... There is no such thing and avoid people who say "Marine Grade Vinyl". However what there is..... Is Premium Cast Wrap Vinyls which are or at least were originally made for wrapping complex shapes such as objects with compound curves and difficult shapes such as vehicles and other objects in our general environment. This same film has continuously been improved to accomodate new more challenging objects such as boats in recent years.... So long story short use premium cast vinyl for best results. There are several brands film I will use, however for printed boat wraps I prefer 3M products mainly due to the type of adhesive they use.

  Hello, Would you use edge seal tape around the boarder when finished for extra hold and seal?

  Edge sealer is not required on these types of boats as the revers chine deflects immediate water pressure from the films edge. On a fibre glass boat I recommend using a strip of clear over laminate to seal the edge if your concerned about it for some reason. If you have not stretched the film and have completed the preparation properly then no edge sealer is required..... I very rarely edge seal and when I do I just just the clear over laminate. Dont use that gluggy edge sealer gunk. It damages the boat and wraps should be 100% removable.

  @@GraphicwrapsAu clear laminated edge seal is all i was thinking, I'm not a fan of the glue. I have a 4.8 aluminium corrugated style stacer tinny, I live in the pilbara so the elements can get pretty rough. Thanks for the info and content.

  No I have not.. The tool looks like a cool bit kit... The paper template system is eazy and only take about 20 mins in total so it's not a problem. Thanks for your comment!

  The install technique does change a little with press boats. Have to work horizontally and take time to wrap rivet heads etc. I guess I need to a video on this soon.
