  Fresh can certainly be used but you would need to make a syrup. I did make sure I used the purest product out.

  Smokin & Grillin with AB uses fresh orange juice & Kardea Brown uses can of crushed pineapples for each of theirs. So many options. My oranges seem to be tasteless but I have orange extract so I’m tempted to add a dash of that with the juice.
