How to Build Jet Engine, Building Jet engines from turbos, Almost anyone can build their own jet engine....
These engines are not toys, they are real jet engines built by keen individuals. They come in all manner of shapes and sizes. Just because the are homemade jet engines, does not make the any less a jet engine, the jet engine noise is just the same, the jet power they make is measured just the same.
As with all jet engines, we spend a lot of time doing jet engine testing
I have been building these homemade jet engines or DIY Gas Turbines, for some years now. The jet engine sound is just like the bigger commercial engines, there is nothing like the jet engine power, how from a free power section you can get so much torque. Well done Andy, closing in on the magic 100mph, that's well within capabilities with the longer run at Elvington.
Thanks, more power to come.... only been running on half ish power 🙂 hope to be at or close to full power next time out 👍
Great achievement!
thanks..... more soon
Great stuff, it should fly on full power. Well done
Hope so!😀
Can't wait to see the full send run
Next time I hope.... 🙂
Afterburner pops made me jump, plus I was getting very warm filming so had to take some steps back! 😬🚀🔥🏁
The video is wonderful, every thing i could ask..Thank you👍.. will be back soon, with more power
I can't wait for you to give it the beans!
Me niether..... next time 😀
@@Turbojetkart Any concern of full power blowing the afterburner out?
@@stevec7596 a liitle..... will just have to ad more fuel 😀
Every speedrun is amazing!
More very soon 😀
Another great run, well done Andy. Looking forward to when you let her loose on Elvington
Thanks 👍 more soon 🙂
93mph in the 1/4... not bad for turbocharger parts and stainless.
No turbo charger used here. The engine itself is built from the ground up!
@fruitloop8780 i meant the compressor wheel and turbine and shaft. Arent those turbocharger sourced?
👍😀
Keep plugging away work out those bugs 🍻
That's the plan! 👍
Well done ❤❤❤❤xx
Thank you for all your help, would not be doing this with out you.... 😀❤
😂😅😊😊😊😊
😀
Dốt lắm
this video demonstrations how people feel the next day after meeting in mexican restaurant
16 liters of kerose in a minute? Man this one is a beast for sure I love how you are still making them following you for a very long time
will soon be more like 20 litres when I turn it all way to 10.... 🙂
Nice one Andy !! Get that speed built up and the 175 is yours
That's the plan!👍🙂
How fast was it?
Still testing, so not as fast as its going to be :-) 1/8th 72mph and at 1/4 mile 71mph
Which turbo did you used?
hx82
Waw crazy i love your channel
Thanks
SO IMPRESSIVE GREAT WORK 🔥🔥
thanks
looking better ;)
yep..... getting there..... work to do
Nice name
Thanks 😅
Looks good !
etting there
Without cooling system
Congratulations!
Thank you!
The engine runs fine as is
Congratulations your really getting somewhere now keep up the good work
Thank you, I will
Hard to not think you're starving it of air with that intake/ seat configuration?
Yep, perhaps, but rhe bell mouth help, check out some my earlier engine, with head right in front of engine
Wow 👏🏻
oh no, you should have left your "That engine won't last running that hot comment" and "no shit it has an afterburner comment" That way people could see you're not only someone who incorrectly thinks they know it all. But also a dick about being corrected.
How much boost does it have? What if you compounded the turbos? Could you get 200 psi? What is the temp of the boost air after it leaves the intake wheel?
Amazing as always well done i hope i get to see it run one day at a track
Thanks.... 🙂
Is this test after me and Maltby saw it.
sunday 19th 👍
You have a lot of keyboard experts. This engine is what my dreams are made of. 😂 Good job 🍻
Thanks! 👍.... lol ..... plenty 👍
Thanks! 👍
What were those "booms" before the afterburner ?
Hi, it was it lighting ,
@@Turbojetkart why didnt it just light? and had to go through that boom process? wouldn't you just dup more fuel and ignite it?
@@dulguun8930 its hard to light a bic lighter in a tornado. its Also hard to light an afterburner in a jet engine. It sometime takes several attempts. the boom is the light and then it blows out. so you try again.
👍👍👍
thank you 🙂
Hi, I bet your neighbours love you, unless you're on an industrial estate. You're way ahead of me, firing mine up. Other things going on causing me chaos. Good luck and hope to see you at Elvington later in year. Cheers, Pete Williams.
Melbourne 12th July 🙂
Nice run!
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
very happy with this.... wanting some more

cant wait to experience an after burner running on my engine
My neighbors would hate me lol Very cool !
lol 👍
Very clean start up. Check on the Squeal when A/B in engaged. I found out the the opening on the tail pipe to be to small. very little. Try putting a band around tail pipe opening..
Yep.... thank you....... looking to perhaps make a bigger afterburner 🙂
Great stuff! Maybe a mixture must have other proportions?
yep..... more fuel 👍
Good work how much thrust?
I'm not sure yet... but the thinking is some round 150 may as much as 200... still only at 45 psi boost .... 25 more to go 🙂
Bravo !
Wonder what the whistle squeak comes from when you hit the afterburner
its running to lean, but its to do with combustion
Не работает. Слишком неустойчивый процесс. Не успевает за время нахождения в камере сгорания возникнуть самоподдерживающаяся реакция.
I think we should take a moment to appreciate the design and engineering of the bearings to survive all that!
Ну и что дальше? Как вы летать будете?
