Just got this for $13.99 on PS5 and been playing Nightwing & Red Hood. Im enjoying this game, especially at that price.
The travel in this game is horrible but I still find myself playing this lol it was free with a psn sub 🔥
Honestly really loved the design of Gotham this go round. I wish it felt less sterile (that’s a perfect description btw), and I wish you could see the other heroes in the world.
I don’t have many complaints about the game. I actually really liked running around and beating up bad guys to interrogate them and collect information about crimes. The movement isn’t great, and could be better, the combat feels good but I wish there was a counter button. I really liked the stealth though! I would like if the enemies leveled up with you, but it feels really good to just plow through the enemies when you’re a touch over-leveled. It would be better if you could customize at least the colors on the transmog outfits
Bought this game off one of the ps stores amazing sales one month after it came put for 40 and I love it. It's far from perfect but I can play as nightwing my favorite charecter in all of DC So I can't be mad. If u adjust the graphics on console by Turing all the sliders up to around the 90s u can make it look 10x better than it does on default. U can make this look like an amazing cyberpunk looking game with bright vibrate colors. It's amazing. The graphics before I did that were horrible imo. I was unable to look at the game and enjoy myself. Doing that fixed everything
Hey everyone, here's my reaction to 2 Dawntrail trailers! I have just finished Endwalker a few days before the launch of Dawntrail and I'm excited to see what comes next! Let me know what you're looking forward to in the coming expansion. And yes, the improved textures look amazing!
There were a couple of things (likely more) that I didn't notice until I watched the trailer again after finishing Endwalker! 1. Estinien calling Vrtra by his name totally flew over my head the first time. 2. And Alpinaud is now a sage which doesn't happen until the middle of Endwalker There will be a Dawntrail Trailer reaction coming soon! As well as my Endwalker playthrough! Overall, this was a great expansion and I can't wait to play Dawntrail!

Are the dev's just done with the game? It hasn't been updated since December 2023, and it's now June 2024. What happened?
Gotham Knights has a good CO-OP feature. Honestly, I only play this game in Co-op mode. It makes it so fun playing 2 player in story mode... and of course it is fun to jump into a quick match with 4 players in Heroic Assault . I find so many new players of this game there. I recommend co-op mode.

For me, Gotham Knights is basically the gaming equivalent of The Medium Place, it checks all the boxes but everything is only about 50-70% as good as I want it to be. To be honest, playing it in 2024, I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would, but then again my expectation wasn't very high to begin with and every so often something would happen to remind me of its mediocrity. Also, this is a bit random but do the Gotham Knights feel like the TMNT to anyone else or is it just me? It was bugging me why Red Hood's animation seems so heavy, but then I remembered the last few TMNT redesigns and realized they just made the angry guy bigger and heavier like with Raph.
Even with a fair and balanced take I can't seem to get myself to buy this game and it's been dirt cheap for years (less than half the price) at the local game store not surprising given it's reception.

Played the Alpha and I still don't appreciate Gotham knights. Suicide squad's being a shitty game doesn't absolve this one of its shortcomings either.

i just tried it and have to say the story pacing is horrendous, having to do the generic "go to baddies location, beat them up" x5 times to progress the story was ridiculous. a shame because it really looks like a great game, not to mention batgirl fine AF!

I’m a big fan of the Arkham series. My only issues with this game are: Movement is stiff (there’s no dedicated jump button, your character walks around like a sims) Traversal needs more work (suggestions: turbo boost button for bike (R1) and boost for air travel) Ability to retry missions instead of having to travel across the map to the beginning if you fail. Ability to switch characters after leaving the belfry and also being able to run into the other heroes solving crimes randomly. Batman is dead the supervillains are supposed to be wreaking havoc, Gotham should look overtaken at least towards the end of the game like in the mister freeze missions. Like how NY looked when Sandman was attacking in Spiderman. Combat could use some tweaking (in my opinions the enemies are perfect they act randomly and don’t wait for each other while attacking, but why is there not a counter button like in spiderman or the other Batman games). World needs more activities (big empty space there should have been collectibles or side missions or mysteries involving memorabilia). Saving (why is there no manual saving like 5 slots would be good) Story progression is all over the place and when you play like me you do the side missions first then the main missions and it just so happens the enemies in missions don’t upgrade as you do so if you hold off on doing the villain side missions until you’ve fully upgraded you can run right through the enemies with no trouble.

As a fan of this game I want to thank you for being fair to it rather than a lot of folks who in the past were looking at the game through Arkham Series nostalgia goggles despite being told over and over that is wasn't related to the Arkham series in any way (though some folks probably would prefer it be after suicide squad I imagine.). It is nice to see someone objectively view the game and even as a fan of it I admit there are things that could have been better but overall it's like you said a good game. Despite how short its story can be I love the connection between the Knights in the character backstory moments I feel if they gave a good writer to flesh it out even more they could probably do a comic universe of the Gotham Knights world to show us a world where no one simply takes up Batman's cowl and continues as the dark knight but rather honor his legacy through their actions to keep Gotham safe.

I actually really liked this. I may be biased since this is like the only batgirl game, and she's my favourite from the Bat family. Other than Batman of course. You actually had a lot of really good criticism, and you actually complemented the game for what it did well. From most reviews I've seen, people were just mad about the game not being 30 fps, or not being as good as Arkham. They would make TikToks showing Red hoods slow and clunky movement and try to make it look like the combat was like that overall. The game is a lot better than the new suicide squad game (personal opinion). There were a lot of people who just jumped on the hate without even playing the game or watching gameplay. Again great review 👍👍
I am playing it on PS5 at the moment and the game can't be described as good by any means. At its best it may be described as mediocre. It has some positive elements like the diversity of characters and the atmosphere, but the performance, the unfinished animations and the bike rides take away the little fun combat may bring to the table. Again, I am playing on PS5, so 30 fps at its best. The bike trials are frustrating at this frame rate taking into account that the environment is not as destructable as in Arkham Knight. A simple tree or something a hydrant may ruin your race and you'll have to try again. As for performance, given that I've seen games with much more impressive graphics running at 60 fps on PS5, I think they could have made an effort and implemented a performance mode for this game.
Batgirl is one of my favorites as well!
Very fair review. I just completed this on the ps5, and it took 3 hours, 2 of which were spent pushing the controler to the right. Feels like it's aimed at kids and definitely a poor attempt at an Inside clone. Simplistic puzzles, many of which are repeated and some copied straight from Limbo or Inside.

I am very biased but I played it back in 2012 and have been playing it yearly since then. I do think the visual aspect is very under appreciated as it looks amazing even for todays standards, games like assassins creed 3 or borderlands 2 (that were release the same year) are much more showing their age then Journey is. Would have like a DEEPER review of the game. Saying "The "emptiness of the lands wasn't always conducive to compelling gameplay" is missing that it's just the first part, deliberatly showing you that when you start in a large zone and going into the underground, you are missing out some of that freedom. This is only a small description and of course subjective but I do want to say that Journey is better then Abzu!(Yes even visually). I do like this modern look on the game, but I disagree!. Keep doing your stuff though since art is subjective.
I agree that Journey still looks good even by today's standards, I think I mentioned it in the video. The game just didn't click with me and I found some parts a little slow for me but that's okay, I still think it's well made. Like you said, taste is subjective. I try to expand more on thoughts in future videos. I appreciate the comment and the civility! Take care!

Odyssey was one of the best games I've ever played and I've been playing since the 90's. This one is also a great game, I've not played long enough to form a well rounded opinion but it does start of a little weaker compared to Odyssey.
