Well done, have enjoyed your blogs and am looking forward to your days on the Portuguese.Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 🎉
10:45 literally a parade of peregrino. Good day hike today. Well done always Anton! 👏 👏 👏
Rewatching this less traveled pilgrimage series with beautiful filming!
Hike the Camino: "Camino húmedo y miserable".
Just to clarify @placido I have done 8 Caminos and am going back in September for my next, being miserable in the moment is human and when you are there and going through it personally it tells the story honestly. I am not here to sugarcoat the experience for others, it's hard, uncomfortable and sometimes miserable, but overall no other experience like it in the world.. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment.
Like 10 Nice hike today my new friend. 20 kilometers is a big one. Stay safe.
Thank you, I am enjoying your thoughts on the walk, cheers
The Aquaman 3 got me 🤣
Galician soup would’ve hit the spot after walking in that weather. 🍲
I was desperately looking for something warm, soup was not available at the one stop on this route unfortunately. Thanks for watching
Don’t stop me now 🎶

hey Anton thanks for sharing this beautifuk video when did you set off on your primitivo journey
@@seeds4urmind21 started on 29 August. Thanks for watching
I did this stage 3 weeks ago and is most beautiful bit I ever done
Agreed Joe, it is spectacular. Hope you had a great camino and thanks for watching
Congrats on crossing the Hospitales Route. Not the best weather, but visibility is there. 7:45 🌈 Nice! Tough day due to the weather, but you did it. Well done Anton 👍🍾 Thinking about Kilimanjaro, would you say January is a good time to climb?
Thanks Tom, much appreciated. Kili should be good in January, I am always hesitant about these climbs as they are normally so oversubscribed and commercialized. But I had a family member that did it and they had a great time. I am doing the Frances in September. I will also have to start looking at alternatives soon. 😂
@@hikethecamino Nice! One Camino after the next. Camino Frances will get you more subscribers and more views. Your videos are very good. Your current videos with less view because it’s not as popular as the Frances. Good luck and have fun.
Thanks for your videos of the Primitivo! I’m surprised to see so many pilgrims on Primitivo, particularly in April ? I’m planning a primitivo for April ‘25 and wondering what day you began in Oviedo and also if you booked all your accommodations ahead or just played it by ear ? Buen Camino !
Hi Anton. Great video and footage. Did you walk after January 2024 changes to drone use in EU? How did you find using your drone on the primitivo?
Hi Brian. I only fly a C0 classified drone in the A1 permit free category, and of course adhere to the rules and regs. My drone got taken out by a flock of birds on the Primitivo in Salas, which was a pity because I was really looking forward to getting Hospitales and Grandes de Salime dam footage. I did manage to get a Mini 4 Pro that I took on the Portugues Central route directly afterwards, so I guess I will have to redo the Primitivo at some stage😃
Hi there. Believe me, the extra 7km from Salas to Albergue Bodenaya are one of the best things you can do on the Camino Primitivo. I've just walk Primitivo 3 weeks ago and Albergue Bodenaya was one of the best experiences i ever had. Thanks for the videos, always nice to remember. Buen Camino.
Dry day today. Buencowmino!!!!
Alright, Anton on the Primitivo!!! Cheering for you. Some very familiar sight for me. 15:15 wow that’s pretty muddy. Epic drone footages. Congrats on completing first day.
wise choice you went back to get the poncho 😅 great drone shot at the end with the birds
I will hopefully pass by the Rancho in June and will say 'hi' to them on your behalf. I am really enjoying your vlog on this route! But those inclines... 😮 Another proudly South African Peregrina.
Cute cows 😊
Great drone footage Anton. And it was great to walk and talk along the Camino. I'm sure we'll meet up along life's journey again. Doug
I had a terrible fall in the city of Makina with my heavy backpack luckly I was alone and no one to see me (probably I was tipsy after a few drinks had a nice evening meal with the monks)
thanks for the memories ( seems like I hiked the interior after filling twice and taking the lifts going down towards the church
Now looking back at your footage, I said to myself that I was not the only one who got lost and I kept loosing my way a couple of times, you did an excellent job in capturing "Camino del Norte" and I salute you for the memories x Buen Camino
Thank you for the memories, after leaving the Church I did get lost I had to revert back to the church and start all over again and it did rain arriving Abadin (May / Jun 2023)
Regarding wet weather footwear a tip from the wander lusting lawyer/kate who suggests a Keen type hiking sandals Plus water proof socks. Goodluck
Those are called “The Flysch.”
Now that our weather here in NZ is cooling-off, I have the time to reacquaint myself with your incredible journey and plan my next year's trip to Spain.
When I went on my first Camino, I was walking with a gentleman from Florida. He lost his phone three days before we got to Santiago. He was so upset that he left the Camino and went home to Florida, just like that. I'm glad you found your phone.
Hi Nora , I was so happy to be reunited with my phone.
This must be well worth the extra effort It's beautiful Thank you
It was beautiful!!!
Wow, 52 km. If it’s me, I’ll be crawling the next day. Well done!!! 👍
It was not by choice believe me, Arzua and O Pedrouzo is challenging with accommodation. A nice lesson learnt
BIG Big congrats!!!🍾🎉🎊🎈Well done Anton and brother. 👏 👏 👏 What a journey! I’m blown away with your trail legs and how far it gotten you. Thanks for taking us along your awesome adventure. Great job with your videos, getting better and better with each episode. Looking forward to watching your Primitivo and Porto Camino.
Thanks so much Tom, it means a lot coming from you. I look forward to the next adventure and sharing the experience
Drone footage so impressive
Great videos and commentary. I'm looking at late may this year. Any gear recommendations?
Hi Garry thanks for watching. I am starting the Primitivo next week and then the internal Portuguese route in May. I use an Osprey 34L backpack, Altra Olympus 5 trainers and try and pack as little as possible. I pick up hiking poles when I get there since I do not check in my bag when I fly. There are many gear videos making recommendations. Try not to pack too many toiletries and medical goodies, it all ads up. A washing line, clothing pegs and safety pins are a must. And of course a head torch. I stick to merino wool socks and T Shirts. Keep me updated and let me know if you have any specific questions. Buen Camino
Muchas gracias Ana 😀
Que música tan bella y relajante aplica. Gracias😊
Muchas gracias por ver Ana.
Precioso reportaje, gracias.👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻🇪🇸☺️
Muchas Gracias
what time of you were you actually walking?
Hi Lynn Thanks for watching, we eventually only left Portugalete at 11am and got to Castro just after 6pm
Loving your videos! Actually I should have asked what time of year were you walking? We walked september/october 2022 but I am planning to walk with my daughter in June/July this year. We live in Australia so heat isn't too much of a concern for us! Also, were there any problems flying drones in Spain?@@hikethecamino
i so remember this climb in the rain! Amazing scenery though.
Indeed thanks for watching Lynn
Well done Anton!!! 👏 👏 👏 Amazing footages. Amazing race. Your feet should be on fire 🥾 🥾 🔥, you’re crushing miles today.
It was a hard day Tom, but the Del Norte is really beautiful
Wonderful Pictures 😃🎥👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great video. I seriously don’t understand why all your videos don’t get ton of view as it should. You took us on the trail with you, in the air, and alongside your journey. I appreciate your time putting all your video together and I am having a blast watching them. Keep up the great work Anton.
A beautiful walk...
Well done 👍 👏 👏 👏
Thanks Tom, when are you off to do the Ingles?
@@hikethecaminoIn about two weeks. More intense training with the backpack on, but it won’t be the same as if on the actual trail. I can never do what you do, you’re a beast on trail. Hiking ridiculous miles and able to capture epic drone footages. I’m traveling light on this Camino, no mini drone for me this time. I’m excited and hoping the weather will be in my favor for a more enjoyable Camino.
Pleasant walking through the forest. Great hike today. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
It’s great to see more video from you. Thought we lost you Anton. Hope all is well. Enjoying your video as always. Thanks for sharing.
