  I‘m an old Japanese fan of ’Chan Mei-ling(陳美齡、Agnes Chan)’. 🥰 I first learned about this song when I bought a used record from her Hong Kong debut more than a dozen years ago. Then, years later, I found out that this song is an English cover of a song called "Ikigai" (生きがい、Life Purpose) released by Japanese female singer “Yuki Saori(由紀さおり)”in 1970. The original song had lyrics that meant that even if a couple divorces, the ex-wife has not forgotten her ex-husband, but this "Sweet Dream" has very sweet lyrics that suit ‘Chan Mei-ling(陳美齡、Agnes Chan)’, just as the title suggests. ❤✨ However, the atmosphere of the music in the original song is very similar to this song, so I think it is a very well-made cover song.👍 If you are interested, it may be even more interesting if you listen to the original songs "Yuki Saori(由紀さおり)" and "Ikigai(生きがい)" as well.🤗🍀 (Original song ‘Ikigai’) kzread.info/dash/bejne/c4quwdp_eLa_qLw.htmlsi=iXCZa-x3nEv6Pcb4

  私は日本の古い、陳美齡のファンです。🥰 十数年以上前、彼女の香港デビュー時の中古レコード盤を買った時にこの曲を知りました。 そして、更に年月が経って、この曲は、日本人女性歌手の「由紀さおり」が1970年に発表した「生きがい」という曲の英語カバーであることを知りました。 原曲は、夫婦が離婚しても、元の妻は前の夫を忘れていないという意味の歌詞でしたが、この「スイート・ドリーム」は、タイトル通りの非常に甘い、陳美齡に似合った歌詞になっています。❤✨ でも、原曲の音楽の雰囲気はこの曲と、非常に良く似ているので、大変良く出来たカバー曲だと考えています。👍 もし、あなたが興味をお持ちならば、原曲の「由紀さおり」「生きがい」も聴いて下さると、更に面白いかも知れません。🤗🍀

  When I went to LP shop in Paris, this song was constantly playing in shop that opened in the morning. This song was playing in the same way from the two stores facing each other and I bought this lp right away. Thanks to this, this song has become an unforgettable song for me forever.
