This channel, just like my blog, features things of interest and offers brief commentary of things I can get passionate about. Some will be timely, some will be late. I have found that apart from the changing needs of media consumption (of which I likewise imbibe) that content creation is something of recent interest. Unless you are in outer space or light-years in the future where this pandemic is now solved, stay a while, browse through, engage, be at home and share tech-life with me.

My Eris E4.5s. packed in after a short power cut. Wouldn't turn on again. There is a utube video on how to repair. No easy job. Presonus answer is to pack and post them to USA at your own cost. with a repair cost , no doubt. I love the speakers, but would never buy again for this single reason. Seems to be a common problem with them.
Can't wait until my Phone gets a new update that can do this but 10x more
I'm writing a blog entry about LLMs and what constitutes a proper LAM now compared to when it was first claimed half a year ago. Things in this space gets old fast!
be ready to pay the monthly subscription from 21 dollar like chat gpt but 10x more….
I'm convinced the R1 was made to highlight humanity's stupidity. Even though we know it's a failure, I bet it will still be sold for a while.
The internet is the highlight of humanity’s stupidity.
Its really an overpriced dinkytoy
The only thing it has going for it right now appears to be that it was made by Teenage Engineering and a tech collector's hoard (that appears to be me), 😂
10 months chat gpt subscription from 21 dollars costs more plus endless more VS one time 200 dollar with a cute animated a8 helper vs faceless cold ai
It was hot garbage 😂
It's even too light to be a proper paperweight 😂
as a user why i should use Rabbit R1 ? its better to use chatgpt app in store and free
Yep, that's one of those things that has changed since CES: release of GPT-4o in ChatGPT (for free) and in Azure Open AI studio, the recent releases of Anthropic, Apple partnership, Copilot+PC, Google Gemini improvements and Android integration, and so on. Right now, I can't recommend the R1 apart from it being an expensive toy to play with.
My chat gpt app says 21 dollar monthly for using gptO…. Not a fan of endless pay subscription and chat gpt has no actual animated ai helper with a face so no identity and cold machin3 writing without cute voice…
the bottom of your handle haves a screw in thing mine does not that is sad
Uh oh, can you share the model number from the box? I thought there was only one version of this stick in the store.
How many kilograms would you say
More and more RV parks ban charging EVs due to the electricity bills. That is something to think about.
Really? It's more than the electricity to run the AC / heat in a big RV along with all the other stuff?
That’s so weird… my electricity bill hasn’t changed at all at home since getting a Tesla. It’s doesn’t use that much power? 😅
Teslas use about 1% of charge per hour on camp mode. if thats all they use its literally less than $1 most places
Can you name 5? If you park a fifth wheel and are using. TV, AC, washer dryer etc your using way more electric ⚡️ than a Tesla
Are you Trippin. Must be the Pink adapter attached to your hairpiece. Need to get you another set of bifocals. Thanks for the review. Get back to your SnoopDog
Cheers for this info
Great video. So you know if you can use the foam handle with the camera without the plastic cage? This would be to get the benefit of the light stick without hassle of the plastic cage. Also, do you know if the handle can be purchased separately?
Yes, you can purchase the floating handle ($39) separately from the waterproof cage ($69). It uses the standard connections. Purchasing the kit makes more sense ($79) since it is cheaper and comes with a free hand lanyard.
Hey , quick question I ordered the eris 4.5 and got the bt version although i paid for the regulars Anyways.. does the Bluetooth one have have shorter lifespan?? I'm worried they gonna stop working couple years from now
One could argue that given the speakers would potentially be used more often when not hobbled to wire. But, really, the circuitry of any BT module is separate from what drives the cones. Your real wear and tear is going to be usage which levels the field. Any specific concern?
@@JamzYaneza most negative comments reported distortion when using Bluetooth but clean sound with wires .. some other reviews mentioned the distortion without specifying whether they used cables or Bluetooth But if "being wireless" has nothing to do with sound generation i think it's ok I don't think I'll ever use Bluetooth anyways
BT distortion is a thing, for sure. This is due to wireless interference of which BT competes and allows (per spec). If you were to use it as part of your mix, then be aware of the other things that would transmit notification, such as the apps if you were to use your phone. Wireless headsets, like Airpods, face the same issue, and it would be a matter of making sure you move other transmitting sources away. Wires also face interference, btw, so make sure to move away from older equipment that don't have proper electrical shielding. That said, if you do electrical music then use it as a feature and don't worry too much. Enjoy your creativity!
@@JamzYaneza thanks a lot for your help!! I really appreciate your time! Great review btw :) So the eris 4.5 bt you've had for 2 years+ now are working fine with no issues??
Oh, absolutely happy to share. No issues whatsoever. To note, I have this sitting in a garage which would put stress on any gear since most garages are not heat/cold shielded. That said, if you take care of your gear it'll serve you quite a long time.
why did you spend more money on the bluetooth version and still used the rca? (not a hate comment)
That's a good question, actually. I have it lined to my main music gear but decided to use it as my main speakers on my gaming/spare desktop. If I really wanted to, could play both of them at the same time and can mix input sources at the same time.
50 amp * 80% is 40 amps Why is this charging at only 32 amps? Also this type of charging is overnight. So without going to a gas station you start each day with a full tank. Typically as you drive from one safty rest stop to the next while you rest for 20 minutes you recharge for the next 2 to 3 hour drive. But not at an RV park. You do it at a road side services stop.
Good question. 32A is the limit at which the car will let you. Even if you had a higher availability it is negotiated down, in this case 50A to 32A, per the specs.
@@JamzYaneza oh yes I remember now 3 ac to dc chargers for 3 phase but each individually limited to 32 Amp.
@@cavramau probably late to the party but the portable charger he was using in video only supplies up to 32A. it's not limited by car itself.
Not just the charger, it's the car itself. For my RW from portable or home charger it is also capped at 32A:: www.tesla.com/support/charging/onboard-charger
When it's a critical error on Windows 10 Insider its actually a GSoD but you can still see BSoD's.
That’s cool
Did you ever find out with that little tab is for just below the shell. I just got my dive kit and that button doesn’t seem to do anything for me either
I did a little more research on design and it isn't actually a button per se. The divers kit is actually a combo of several upgradeable accessories: floating handle, hand strap, sealed camera chamber. On the floating handle there's a universal camera mount in the center, but also around the top shaft are grooves that would fit a press locking accessory. I haven't found anything currently on the DJI site but if you look at other brand handles there are versions that have a full dome instead of a form fit like the one in this kit. Short answer, that button is the pressure lock release button for a dome or similar after market accessory.
I think it’s for the extension stick. To have something like a selfie stick but attached to the floating handle
Looks secure but also easy to unlatch should you want to manually handle the camera. Also I spy a Gamers Nexus Wireframe Desk Mat +.+
Eagle eye spotting there, lol. I need to figure out how to respond with a photo on here without needing to make an update video of the thing in use.
Sir @@JamzYaneza, although not directly a "reply", you can post a Community post along with an image for like "short updates", then linking that community post in a comment. >w<
That's a good one. I took some quick snaps and posted them on the Community page. Now, I just have to figure out how to reference the posts to each other 😅
Jamz. Woohoo. best editing! 💫
Lol. I actually went back and realized there was some mumbling and background noise that could have been filtered out.
it's a sticker? 🤣 thank you
You're welcome 😁 Yeah, I wish they'd made that part clear anywhere in the documentation. As you probably saw, I'd already plugged it in and wondered why they heck it wasn't being detected.
@@JamzYaneza I thought it was some sort of hard plastic insert and was trying to dig it out instead of just sliding right under it.
This would have been a lot nicer if it had midi outs and dedicated transport control.
My thought exactly. but you know if that was the case it would be another hundred dollars +. And in my opinion it's already slightly overpriced.
@@vaughnmiller4371 Noo, it would probably be more like 20-30$ in retail, which I would happily pay. And i don’t think it’s overpriced at all.
So something might have triggered kernel to weirdly changed modes and the pc couldnt process that so it showed a gsod on your insider build. Yeah, Insider Build is weird.
It might be an important software that failed or might be a hardware failure
The former and more probably a driver issue. I've since upgraded to Windows 11 and no issues so far (I am on the beta test channel, take note).
It only takes me 5 mins to gas up, and I’m back on the road 👍🏽 I really don’t care about saving 300 bucks a year lol
One day we’ll all be doing this
@@THETRUTHofKZread nah, I’ll always have a gas automobile. I like the sound and that I can’t go anywhere without waiting hours to charge.
@@silverandblackentertainment it’s simple economics. Less and less people will own gasoline vehicles and government tax and lack of competition will drive prices up to where its unaffordable. I like gas vehicles too but electric is the future like it or not. “I’ll always ride my horse”
@@THETRUTHofKZread I’m talking about “myself” not what others do. I’ve never been a follower. An electric car is not convenient for me. I drive a lot. I own 388 shares of tesla stock, I invested in tesla 4 years ago. I know where the world is going…. But I myself, an electric car won’t work for me. I cant wait to charge. And we all know they can put alternators on each wheel and charge while rolling, but they rather make money off charging stations. 🤣
Funny enough, looking for an after-market car speed noise maker was something we looked for in the beginning. There's something about a (more or less) silent car that feels like you're driving with noise canceling cans on. I don't miss oil changes or fiddling with the engine, I used to drive stick to get the most enjoyment.
a cool thing with that screwdriver is the head is removable and reveals a flat head on the other side
That upper left one is forever by favorite MS keyboard ever
The blue one? That was their first Bluetooth version with media controls and an included mouse. I probably bought two of those first time released, so, I can relate 😀
This tutorial is go good thank you so much all the other ones are garbage for once it helps me
Glad it was useful!
These new headlamps need to be USB C...instead of microUsb !!
I absolutely agree USB-C is the future. Once the supply chain gets handled hopefully newer versions will sport it.
Excellent Review!!....but I think you miss a very important feature ..*.they are dimmisable in all modes by holding the button!
Ah, yes. I might have missed mentioning that the lights are dimmable. In fact I've had to use that feature many times during camp since it was bothering some of the party poopers :)
Ah darn..the connector wire.. its always good to find that out of expecting ZERO wire.. not at that price of course. Ah well . No good to me. Theres a shop right now around the corner from me and they are £199 man I was all set until the penny dropped and now my bubble has burst. Handbrakes! The speakers need to go either side of double french doors..
If you don't need the Bluetooth functionality it looks to be on sale less $50 new on Amazon today. They are still my daily driver for my setup. I do wish that connecting wire we're longer, indeed. However, the logic seems to be that further apart they no longer serve the intended purpose as monitor speakers..
@@JamzYaneza thanks the reply,,, I have made some money and will buy Edifier S3000 Pro , no wire , just plug in each speaker. Amazing speakers , have research since 9 days! . Look them up and tell me what you think ?

Lol. Those were the classics!
The plug it would appear you have never seen before is a full-sized USB B plug and is a standard that's over 25 years old. This cannot be even nearly the first time you've literally seen one.
Literal unboxing first impression. Was totally surprised to see it not on a printer or drive docking station. Now that I have a bunch of other music gear this connection seems to be a legacy, but working, standard for many keyboards (even on the SL MK III). Only my Launchkey uses USB C, at the moment.
Is the purifier still functioning well?
Still going on strong. Almost forgot it was even plugged, quiet. Replacement filters available as well. You will know when the replace light goes on.
@@JamzYaneza alright thx for the reply
I just replaced filter but replace filter light still blinking and no idea how to stop it
Try this, plug the device but do NOT turn it on, the blinking lights start. Then, press the Speed and Timer buttons for about 5 seconds or so until the blinking lights stop. At this point you can turn it on.
great video does it work ? what is the sound quality like, is the key action nice ?
MiniLab and the music banks are awesome. Key action is good to think I have big fingers. It's really difficult to choose between this and the Akai if you're looking for a small and portable. Novation has a good alternative with those same touch strips. All in all it may come down to brand preference and if you are mating this with a DAW in your workflow.
@@JamzYaneza cheers ;)
I think the white version is plastic shell, are you sure the black version is metal shell? If so I will definitely pay the extra $$ for this one :)
It is a solid metal bottom with a solid construction top, after closer inspection. The nice thing about black and the all-black version from Arturia (versus the Akai) is the flush molding makes it all look like one seamless construction.
@@JamzYaneza thank you sir for the detailed info I’m going yo get one for sure

These headphones are not the best in terms of comfort .. BUT, as for the sound transmission of frequencies, these are some of the best that exist! These headphones convey all the nuances of recording, so you can accurately master the sound when a particular file requires it. I have all the sound equipment of this company, and I can definitely say that "TASCAM" is an extremely high quality brand !!
Totally agree on the equipment. Those are solid. I did have to return the Model 12 eventually, not because of the hardware, but the software drivers for Windows 7/10 were causing reboots every time I changed my settings on Ableton. It was very odd. I might not have noticed the issue had I been on a Mac, but that was my use case at the time I needed it.
Hey man I was laughing a bit as you almost took the plastic stip off the screen lol,so few seem to do that right away.Being an experienced producer most people don't put the input volume at full as any unit will start to clip.I hope you enjoy this unit and get more productive. How did you like it compared to the Scarlet?I have this unit and love it!
I think both are great pieces of gear. But, I'm partial to the MOTU for the more innovative use of LCD compared to blinking LEDs on the Scarlett.
This system is still kicking around! It got decommissioned after it started to have random resets after 8 years of faithful workstation service. Upon rediscovering it this year and investigation it appears the AIO cooler had been leaking and causing heating and shorting. I've recently converted it to a Proxmox VE and TrueNAS server for homelab usage for now.
Does it comes in a heavy duty box ? Dyson airwrap comes in a heavy duty box as well as the heavy duty bag with all the attachments nicely placed in this bag . Does it seems too ?
On delivery it was double boxed. The product box itself is solid. There's a dark brown wrap bag to put it in luggage which has a protective lanyard inside for the batteru disconnect to ensure it doesn't contact and overheat during travel. Brought this a few weeks ago and no TSA issues.
you need to work on audio
Absolutely. Using the phone and straight uploads aren't the best.
Great device. Just ordered the same one!
It does not have semitone transposition, the keys have a plastic union like the akai mpk that lasted me a month and that are difficult to repair and without replacement, disassemble the china orca and use the same keys for half the price
What mic are you using for these tests? Was this recorded without a cloud lifter?
This is actually cellphone audio and video from the Samsung Galaxy S10e, as I didn't really have anything set-up during this take. I don't recall doing any post processing beyond splicing and packing up for upload.
Nice
I still used the MS "Natural MultiMedia Keyboard 1.0A" (the putty-colored ergonomic one in the lower-right) until yesterday, when my trusty old Win 7 machine finally died. I had to get a Win 10 machine to replace it. And now I am stuck with this awful MS "Comfort Curve 3000" keyboard -- a *laughably* non-ergonomic 'board that requires me to re-type everything 2 or 3 times, because it is so poorly laid-out. You said that you are still using your "Natural" 'board -- are you somehow using it with Win 10? I am desperate to find some way to get it to work again! I attached a PS2 to USB adaptor and plugged it in, but Windows 10 doesn't recognize it, and according to MS, there is no driver to allow backwards compatibility. BTW -- the version I have was made for the Canadian market, rather than the US market; the main difference is that the delete button is 2 rows high -- a great advantage, to me.
The original Natural is still my go-to keyboard if all else fails using the included PS/2 to USB adapter and works on Win10 by default as drivers are built-in -- unlike the absolute paperweight which is the Sculpt which looked beautiful until the proprietary unreplaceable usb wifi dongle died. It came as a combo years ago and the included mouse is no where precise as my old portable Logitech work mouse from that time. These days I'm rocking a TKL mechanical only because of desktop space.
Bro Tip... Flip the speakers upside down with the tweeters at the bottom. It will make a huge difference in sound quality. Because they are near-field speakers the closer the low/mid is to your ears the better the speakers will sound. hope this helps
That's actually a good tip if you don't have a pair of adjustable stands to align and angle your monitor speaker pair. Make sure to follow the useful included setup guide to align the tweeters to your ears. To see the proper hight you can test the difference using different sitting heights and positions.
