Aloha~ Welcome to my youtube channel where I showcase my vlogs of cons I go to or just travel in general. I would like to inspire more artist to try out Artist Alley & give out tips for AA.
Always interesting to see how out of state cons are in comparison to our local ones (Kkon, CCH, etc.). I know Lokimeku is headed out of state for the first time soon! 🥳 That really did suck though that you got stuck and had to get another flight. 😵 But I guess the bright side is, you didn't get stuck in Texas when it hit. 🙏

It's so interesting to see someone's POV of Metrocon that's not local! (I was on the vendor side and local to FL) I'm glad the attendees treated you really well; Tampa peeps are typically really kind! Metrocon staff has always been really nice too. They even expanded the hall this year so there was more space to exist behind the tables and walking in between the lanes. (Yay for quality of life upgrades haha) If you come back next year, you'll have to take a visit to Publix if you loved Trader Joe's LOL.

I think it's pretty crazy that some cons don't allow, at the very least, the exhibitors outside food. I have allergies and can't eat what's usually offered at conventions, which means I either take food in with me to my table, or I have to leave to get something to eat, which as an artist... That could leave my table unmanned for a while. Attendees have more freedom to leave and come back, we don't.

@@suzumecreates I did. My husband and my good friend. But they didn’t know how to use my Square POS system. Or they also said that when I used to be my own “Booth babe” when I did my mon hun Cosplayed and walked around for a bit, the table seemed to go nuts and they would get swamped with questions and what the prices were XD. So I just stay at the table and talk nerdy about Monster Hunter with people. Lol if you ask Ceevee and ask, do you know a local artist who does a lot of Monster Hunter stuff, he’ll know who I am lol. Ask him about why I call him sempai lol

Yeah this show is big, not big for artist which sucks. I would say they took care of the artist alley better than last year visually. Last year was terrible for them, it was just a straight line next to bathroom.(The back Hawaii convention center like way back...)

Honestly, it was ROUGH out there that weekend. It was also my first time at Hawaii PopCon and big oof. Was excited to see the vlog finally though and was it was really cool meeting you! :3

Appreciate the vlog (and all your others too hehe), I heard mixed feelings from artists on HawaiiPopCon, some ups but a few more downs. Was debating about flying over from Maui for this but perhaps I'll pass, or see how it pans out next year.

@@suzumecreates hehe yeah that's the consensus I've been getting overall, aside from a couple artist friends who did 'okay' everyone else didn't have quite as good of a time.

Great recap! Yes. Music can be so annoying. You're not too old, it's just too loud and distracting. I hate cons that either, A: Have no music, or B: have too loud of music. It's such a bummer being in artist alley and shouting over the music trying to sell your art.

No, There is staff regularly monitoring the aisles. It would be considered hazard with the amount of little space
