  I get that the remote control is supposed to add versatility, but it kind defeats the purpose of an armored vehicle if it's occupants are going to get out of it. Just build a cheaper land drone for that.

  I think the point is optional remote contorl. It's an armoured car at the start and when going to confirmed danger, will dismount and control via remote.
