That may be geographically correct but the festival has not been in any way decent since the 80's and early 90's... Just a huge woke money making event with a very bad line up for what "is" "was" the best musical and folk gathering in the western realm. And £8 for a poke of chips with the private vendors having to pay up to £50,000 to get a stall set up there, what a sham.....

I wonder why just stop oil didn’t do anything here🧐 maybe because they got free passes and look at the all the waste that was left behind by the woke club which attended Glastonbury
@MRAFWO Жыл бұрын
i use to think the waste is crazy worse now but ive seen stacks of vids and photos, from the very very very early years and there is litter scattered about on the floor of the pyramid field too, to me it seems to be very similar ( in scale to the amount of people on site.) personally myself, i think repeated, constant education to the masses, could slowly help get folk to look after the land so much better. on a wet event, the land gets proper churned up and theres rotting food, bits of plastic, beer cans, bits off folks costumes, busted chairs etc etc i think there should be more green police again. not to shout and embarrese the folk that are being idiots dropping stuff or peeing in the bushes etc but to walk up to them and talk to try educate. the more people are teached at the more of them will actually learn, shame but there will always be the few that just dont and will never care
@gjpevids2 Жыл бұрын
The festival itself has gone fossil fuels free. Studies have shown that the 200,000+ people on site used less carbon than they would do if they were in their various home towns (including travel). Among others, the festival makes significant donations to Greenpeace, a lot of effort is put into promoting green initiatives and Just Stop Oil have a stall there. What is it you would like them to protest about?
