I brought my XT 500D in 1977 as my first road registered bike. I commuted on it, trail rode it on weekends, travelled two up on it too. Only issue I ever had was premature wear of the top end, valve stems pitting, cam and rocker arm wearing too. Anyway I loved that bike and wish I still had it.

Had a ride on a couple of these 40 years ago, always liked big singles, XT 500, SP 370 (which I think is comparable with the XT) . Just bought a Gas Gas ES700, wooah! Different kettle of fish altogether!

What is the lifespan that most of y'all see with the Jaanese Chin? I bought my first Japanese Chin on August 10, 2023. I also bought a Shih Tzu that same day and they love eachother so much (thank goodness) 😊 Your videos have inspired me to make a KZread page of videos with my 2 babies. It is wonderful to look back and remember them. My 2 Shih Tzu's died in 2017 when they were 16 years old, I wish I did these videos with them. I loved them dearly. I was so heartbroken when they died I did not get any other pets until August 10, 2023.

I also bought a Shih Tzu that same day and they love eachother so much (thank goodness) 😊 The Japanese Chin has the most unique behaviors of any dog I have ever come into contact with 😂 Does anyone know HOW the Japanese Chin got their "cat-like" behaviors? Was the Chin around a lot of cats centuries ago or something??

It seems weird to me that there are a lot of XT500 and XL500S videos on youtube but almost nothing with TT500 and XR500. I felt that here in New Zealand the TT and XR were *much* more popular. They had significant'y more power, and lighter weight. Unlike in some countries, in NZ you could very cheaply add a mirror, lights, and number plate mount and be road legal. My first bike was a 1974 XL350, which was the big bore of the time. I got mine in 1980, and in 1981 and 1982 I rode it 200 miles between my parents' home and university (every term, not every day!). The XT/TT 500 came out a couple of years later with a little more HP but a lot more torque! And then a couple of years later again the new-gen XL/XR came out with a significant power increase. The XL250S was only 2 HP less than the XL350, but the XR250 was either 2 HP more (24) or 8 HP (30) more depending on what web site you believe. I *think* the difference came down to some countries (NZ probably) selling them standard with, and some (USA probably) without Honda's factory +5 HP kit. I had a 1980 XR250 in 1983. The original owner had raced it in local enduro events and it may have had more done to it -- I don't know. What I know was it was a rocket ship! I had friends with the Yamahas and we swapped a bit. I didn't get huge experience on them, but I do remember the TT500 being an absolute dream to wheelie from the moment I got on it. I don't know if it was just more torque right from down low or something about the balance too, but you just had to think about it and the front wheel was lofting.

Kick all the way through the kick stroke…if you don’t and it kicks you back, you’ll need a pair of crutches…I’ve owned a’77 since new, trust me…ride safe! 🇿🇦🏍️👍

Correct timing is the important thing ,- my XT500C Enduro (bought 77 at 1200miles on Norfolk Island and shipped back to NZ) nearly broke my ankle kicking back,- had to ride 15km back home 1 legged (got someone else to start it) sounded like a shotgun going off. Found the timing was too far advanced, set it properly and never had another kickback. Another problem was the kick starter disengaging ramp inside the cover, which on mine was snapped off. It lifts the kick lever out of engagement at the end of the stroke, preventing kickbacks. Best bike I ever owned,- so much torque, you hardly needed to change gear on a trip.

Olispa mukava nähä Kai Laitista Pitkästä aikaa ja kuulla taas soittoa. Entinen ala-asteen opettajani. Siinä jäi kyllä koulu hommat kesken kun Kaitsu alko soittaa tunnilla🤣☺️ Kyllähän sitä oli mukava kuunnella. Kyllä siinä silti jotain jäi päähän vaikka blues soikin. Myös saatiin käydä välitunneilla soittamassa koulun musiikki luokassa. Kovilla pakkasilla oli oikein mukava olla sisällä ja soitella/yrittää ainakin soittaa. Musiikki aina ollut lähempänä ❤ kuin mikkään muu. Mukavia muistoja. Kiitos Kaitsulle että jakso "takoo" oppeja tähän päähän🤣👍 Toivottavasti vielä näkis miestä ja kuulis soittoa❤️☺️

Invest in one of these 1400 MG. They quit making them because they would not pass emission standards. These bike will be a classic. One of the few bikes out there that one can self service.

The 1400 Calif is too heavy for a daily use as a commuter bike, like i do. In France , the price tag goes from 10 000 to 14000 euros. Way too expensive for me. We have a black and white ,cute as a button Japanese chin .Yoshi just turned 12 on Nov 10 2022.Except for the black hair around his eyes turning white ,he still looks like a puppy . My son plays classical music and Yoshi love singing along . He chin spins and usually nothing bothers him except he guards the house across the street and if anyone comes or goes he does bark. Other dogs , squirrels ,bears he doesn't bother . We live in northern ont , there was only two chins including yoshi living in our area. It kills me time has gone so fast ,such a special breed. Yoshi will most likely be our last furboy, so hard when they pass away. Gorgeous little girl you have. Condolences, my heart breaks for anyone losing a pet. My son loves the breed I'm sure he'll adopt from a chin rescue .There are more japanese chins in United States in the southern states . Unfortunately most older people own them and when they pass their dogs go to rescue places that try to place them in loving forever homes . Take care

Dora was living with my mother but 30 years ago I had a chin of my own. Losing both has been really tough but that is life. I hope you will have many happy years left with Yoshi. Take care!

Invest in one of these 1400 MG. They quit making them because they would not pass emission standards. These bike will be a classic. One of the few bikes out there that one can self service.
I've been test riding MG 1400 twice. The styling is spot on. They are still quite expensive but who knows in the future🙂
@@marcomaniac2909 I purchased my 2016 MG in 2018 for 6800$. I think the going price at the time for one was closer to 10000$ I had to drive from Tampa to just North of Atlanta to pick it up though. Great deal!

The 1400 Calif is too heavy for a daily use as a commuter bike, like i do. In France , the price tag goes from 10 000 to 14000 euros. Way too expensive for me. When a California Vintage is half the price and is not overweighted. Hugs from Normandy.
We have a black and white ,cute as a button Japanese chin .Yoshi just turned 12 on Nov 10 2022.Except for the black hair around his eyes turning white ,he still looks like a puppy . My son plays classical music and Yoshi love singing along . He chin spins and usually nothing bothers him except he guards the house across the street and if anyone comes or goes he does bark. Other dogs , squirrels ,bears he doesn't bother . We live in northern ont , there was only two chins including yoshi living in our area. It kills me time has gone so fast ,such a special breed. Yoshi will most likely be our last furboy, so hard when they pass away. Gorgeous little girl you have. Condolences, my heart breaks for anyone losing a pet. My son loves the breed I'm sure he'll adopt from a chin rescue .There are more japanese chins in United States in the southern states . Unfortunately most older people own them and when they pass their dogs go to rescue places that try to place them in loving forever homes . Take care
Thank you for telling about your chin🙂I can imagine how lovely Yoshi is. Chins are very elegant entertainers. They are quite rare here in Finland but I love the breed. Dora was living with my mother but 30 years ago I had a chin of my own. Losing both has been really tough but that is life. I hope you will have many happy years left with Yoshi. Take care!

I have a new problem...blessing...love my Bandit 1200's...picked up a ST4s...Beautiful, faaast,Ohlins!!!!!and an annoying electrical demon...Duc's do not like city streets...I am sooo lucky to live in San Diego and be 20 mi. I envy you🙂 We are in the middle of the winter and I can't ride because of all that snow and ice. I subscribed your channel so I will follow your twisty rides in the future. ST models are not ferfect in the traffic jam but on the curvy roads they are wonderful. Ride safe!
