Project Sunride is a student-led rocketry group, holding the UK Open Altitude Record for the highest apogee rocket launch by a non-professional body. Currently made up of over 80 team members and based at The University of Sheffield, we aim to push the boundaries of what's possible in amateur rocketry.

Amazing work. Come back and go again!
Look at them. Like its Christmas :)
Thanks for the video, great effort all round!
Those shock diamonds are T O P tier. Great work.
Good job team! Looking forward to your next attempt!
Thank you!
nice fotage and edition, music etc. And awsome work guys. Bravo.

1:37 that injectors have the lack of cant throtling right?
this is so cool!
sounds like wubzzys casual scream
I saw Joe Barnard in the credit is that the man Joey B?
Yes! He filmed a tracking shot of the rocket for us 😄
Mission failed, we'll get em next time. haha just kidding, great job and really fun documentary! you got this!
Cheers! And thank you :)
Admirable to see young engineers so completely on top of their game :)
How’d you overcome COCOM… relying on GPS at altitude
The GPS tracker in the upper stage was a Telemetrum - GPS tracking did cut out at one point, which we assume is related to the limits, but we regained it on the way down which helped us find the rocket.
悟空の掌のほうがまだ手強かった。
you can really feel the story being written during the edit.
Stephen did a great job! 😊
Cool film. Thanks for sharing it. Looking forward to hearing how Bravo does. "Success is 99% failure".
We're looking forward to Karman Bravo too, hopefully launching very soon 👀. Cheers for watching!
Shovel recoveries at Koehn Lake are always heartbreaking. Best of luck next time!
Thank you!
Not all are heartbreaking. The electronics and data on the last three I dug out at Koehn survived, but I've been flying next door to FAR at the MTA since 1965. I've learned how to construct payloads to survive ground impacts.
what stage is this designed for?
Amazing
It's much harder to reach the karman line by going through the earth...A for effort though!
😂
You gotta feel bad for these poor English kids having their first America experience in California
The AV is a very different part of California. I had some fun times there.
Wow 😲 this engine is awesome having a super roar sound with incredible thrust. Amazing!!
can this be mounted to a family sedan?
❤❤
2132 views at time of watching, hi to y’all in the future when it’s gone viral
Awesome Team Sheffield! Getting the rocket onto the pad and into the air is a great achievement. Rocket science is easy, rocket engineering is hard.
Love finding little gems like these
it's criminal that theres only 200 views on this. A beautiful rocket and engineering as well, not to mention the video itself. Great work, I hope Bravo works out great.
4.4k after 5 days, still not nearly what this production quality deserves.
Great video. Well done and looking forward to the next one.
Thank you!
great work well down
I saw you guys yesterday at MRC, Good job!
Love the documentary sm!! Amazing effort :))
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great work everyone :)
Cheers Seb 🙌
Amazing story guys, amazing job on both the rocket integration and commentary of the trip❤️
Love it. The intensity of a launch event well captured and narrated. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Cheers!
Well done Team Sheffield!!!
I already had an idea of what the story was, having spoken to some of the guys. This was an amazing story, put together very well. Cant wait for Karman Bravo! Hopefully all the O rings stay in one piece this time!
Such a great video full of amazing memories!
Gowonnnnn sheff
Honestly one of the greatest pieces of media I have ever seen
Im in 100% agreement, incredible work from these lads. Cold moment at 19:54. The quality of production is out of this atmosphere, more ppl need to watch this masterpiece. In my eyes the only thing 12 feet under is the competition. 💯💯💯💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thx bby for the shout out
Really good cinematography and great story telling 🔥
What is the propellant used in this rocket?
Solid propellant - off the shelf rocket motors from Aerotech
What is the Specific Impulse? Fuel/oxidizer combinations?
Can’t wait to watch it!!
Wow super cool! So what, u guys are what engineering post grads? Looks like a very cool project. What about a R detonating engine???
This engine was designed by undergrads!
@@ProjectSunride SUPER!!!!!
man, check those shock diamonds!
Great job guys!
First test, 'yeah, nice',... Last test 'Wholly Fcuk YEEESSSSS'.!!
