  Mirtazapine works great, but it's beyond frustrating they decided to put it in a squeeze tube. It's impossible to dose accurately and consistently. Research clearly shows the likelihood and severity of side-effects is dose dependent.

  I applied it to my cat’s ear and now she’s having some breathing problems, she’s wheezing, coughing and kina snoring. I looked up the side effects and some websites did include breathing difficulties, others said that breathing difficulties could mean an allergy to the medicine. I don’t know what to do, will it pass? Is this normal? Do I call the vet again?

  @@stadiumarcadium2351 yeah, thanks for asking. She reacted badly the first time, so we rubbed a bit less of the medicine in her ear since she was a pretty small cat. She started eating better for a while. She passed away two months ago, though..
