Thank you so much for sharing! As someone who is quiet junior within the field of design systems, this is such a clear resource. It really helps you understand the journey of how DS components are implemented, if they should and what questions to ask along the way. So glad I found this video
Appreciate the feedback! We have quite a few free design system resources on our Figma community page and our website. So be sure to check those out. And let us know if you have any questions!
Great and simple video. I got some intro to svg as well. But just curious how complicated it will be to draw curves using this approach? I am a newbie to svg and from what I see, curves are not easy to draw, unless you have a firm understanding of control points and how they are determined
Watching this in 2024, I must say y'all did an amazing job. I haven't seen a video on prototypes and business pitches as detailed as this on the internet. Great job guys.
This is very helpful and insightful! Every potential startup founder needs to watch this! Thank you very much
Hey thanks!
Auditors should always be 3rd parties.
Very inspiring and helpful. Great resources. Thanks. Great work!
Thank you so much!
Very helpful. Thanks so much!
hey thanks! we appreciate you!
I love the content of this video. Thanks for the free resources too. It was hard to read the contents of some of your slides though. Starting from 4:14 to 16:44, I had to constantly pause your video and zoom in to read what's on the slides. And even then, I still couldn't read what's in some of them. Just something to note for your upcoming videos or if you wanna do an update on this. Also, I checked your UX Audit Guide. On page 7, under the "What do you want answers to?", bullet points 1 and 4 says the same thing. I'm pretty sure that wasn't intentional. If I find any other typos while going through your resources, I'll be happy to send them over to you. Let me know the best place to do it. Thanks again for making contents like this. I appreciate it!
We appreciate the feedback! As you said, it helps us make better content in the future.
how to get an discount for PPP country for your system design?
Awesome video! Very helpful. What is the name of the tool/platform da you use for topics/comments etc
Can you be more specific and share a timestamp from this video? Not sure where in the video you are referring to. Happy to help!

One of the most exhaustive design systems I have ever seen 🤯
Can you go the other way around? Lets say there is already a storybook setup, can you import it into figma?
Looks like someone made a great tutorial on that here: story.to.design/blog/from-storybook-to-figma
Is there a template you can share with us? I love this way of thinking about MVPs and PMF.
At the moment we don't have that available, but it's something we are working on. Feel free to connect with Andrew on LinkedIn to learn more about it. > www.linkedin.com/in/andrewverboncouer/
Thank you both for such a wonderful video! I am a new fintech entrepreneur. I loved this video. Keep up the good work!
That's great! Do you have a link to share what you are working on?

Quite the thorough breakdown! Mostly accurate 👍
Thanks a lot for taking out your precious time to discuss this topic. This discussion was exactly what I was looking for. I created a product in an already established market and was looking for some direction on what I will have to do next to build trust so that I can have customers.
Glad you found it helpful! Feel free to connect with Andrew on LinkedIn if you have any questions!
Nice, will check 'em out 🤌
I recognized the importance of building a MVP, but this process has provided me with a wealth of additional details that I find incredibly valuable and helpful. Thanks for sharing!
That’s great to hear! Happy to help.
@kineticbear You mentioned that you'll share the Slides link in KZread. Where can one find it, Jacob? Thank you.
Jacob here! It looks like the slides Ryan was sharing have been moved and are now unavailable. We do have a related blog post here - www.headway.io/blog/common-b2b-saas-growth-strategy-mistakes Hopefully that's helpful!
Thank you! This is the only Polaris resource I've been able to find.
Thanks for the video
Hi! Is the UI kit still available? I didn't see it at the link above.
Sorry about that! We updated the page and it’s now available here: www.shipwright.design/ui-kit
Thanks again to Jeremy from Beyond UX Design podcast for hosting Melissa and sharing the video recording with us! Listen to more episodes with Jeremy here: www.beyonduxdesign.com/
Do you have a download link for this Figma file?
We do not. Anthony does have a content library of all his templates that you can access here though - www.fletchpmm.com/best-practices
the design team changed the ui kit for a bootstrap theme, now how can i update that in my code?
thats pretty cool, i like the persona - alternative - problem thing because in a way it seems like telling a story of someones problem
Is it possible to leverage AI to do the UX audit? Any recommendations of existing tools? Based on my work experience, it is really tedious to perform UX audit.
As of right now we haven’t seen anything that’s useful for our team. If you find anything, we’d love to see it. UX is more than design inconsistencies. It’s also talking to customers to understand where they get stuck or confused and why. And AI can’t schedule calls and get that kind of contextual feedback. There are predictive AI tools for UX but for the most part they are just based on UX best practices, which we already use in our designs. We’re more concerned about business outcomes and customer success. With anything, shortcuts often don’t pay off in the long run. But we also understand that having the time to do audits can feel like a luxury with deadlines all the time. Melissa from our team had a great convo about this on the Beyond UX podcast. www.beyonduxdesign.com/episode/63-refining-ux-one-audit-at-a-time-with-melissa-gallagher/
Great insight ❤
Glad you think so!
Not many people on youtube are covering legit lessons like this. Refreshing to see real insights and not influencer UX fluff lol.
That's really great to hear. Sometimes it's easy to look at what other channels do and the views they get, but sometimes it feels like you said, "fluff" and not helpful.
This is great, thanks for putting this together.
Happy to help!
I didn't know what to expect, but I'm quite disappointed about the Presentation and how less Valuable things you were saying for someone who studied IT. I'm sry, but it felt time-wasting.
How do you come up with metrics when the problem you are solving is actually lost man hours? No organization keeps track of the time they spend on working something whereas if your software makes that time dramatically less thats a real win but the question is how do you benchmark that?
The only way to create a benchmark or prove what you are saying is with data. Going off “a feeling” won’t instill confidence in a potential buyer. They will want firm evidence of some kind. If productivity such as cost to complete goes down or output speed goes up, after using your product, that would be a metric to follow. “Less time spent doing X increased Y output by 22% in the first 2 months.”
How to structure our figma designs ,to hand them over to developers and business stakeholders
Thank you for the quality and insightful content. After learning design in figma, the next challenge was structure and a framework process I could use to work with stakeholders collaboratively and consistently
Glad to hear it! Any other topics or exercises you think we should cover that would be helpful to you?
SLG early on rather than PLG - really relatable !
Thanks Natalie! - Jacob
Wow, very helpful! (And changing the way the labels are centered based on width would be more accurate. 😎)
Great content! Thank you both for taking the time.
You bet! Glad you found it helpful. - Jacob
Hey liking your videos but can you please tell which plugin you used for color picking from the website ?
We used CSS Peeper & Fonts Ninja.
Do you work or just keep talking. Looks like everyone dhould keep talking.
💓💕❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 well done 🥰👍👍❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Great content guys
Hey thanks! Appreciate it.
This was an awesome break down. I really got a ton out of it. Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful! Any other concepts you think we should break down on the channel?
Love this video! I have watched it so many times!
Love to hear that! We appreciate the feedback. 🤗
Great tips. Do you have any advice on how to guide non-design team members in giving feedback? I work with product managers who have a lot of opinions which aren’t backed up with knowledge and it’s creating friction.
I’ll share this question with Billy. Thanks for your patience and will follow up soon!
Great question! I think one of the biggest things we can do when asking for feedback is be clear on what feedback we are looking for and what feedback we're not looking for. Walking through our decisions with data or similar product features that other products share can help mitigate some of these friction points.
Heey Headway, that was a great explanation! One question, how do you manage to bulk create or edit the variables? Making all the tokens and editing is sooo time consuming and complex..
Hi! Great resource but the site is down. Is it still supported? @headwayio
Why did Figma choose to use variables for both regular variables and roles. So confusing 😢
.env file didn't work because it must be at the same directory as the package.json, it should be moved out of src directory
