    Hi Satoshi, I have a D415 camera and I want to buy a D435 because the Intel web site said D435 is better for fast motion tracking. But according to your video, I find D415 performs better. Do you feel the same? I need your advice to decide to buy a D435 or not. Thanks!

    From his point of few, D435 is standing on the left side and D415 on the right (1:24). This could support the hint of Kazuyuki that he actually swooped image streams. You can see the difference in the position of the ceiling lamps. On the left image they are more centered and on the right they are a little bit shifted to the left. So the video on the right is probably the D435 and not the D415...

  • @richardkircheis7809
    @richardkircheis78096 жыл бұрын

    Naa, I disagree. At 1:24 you can see, that the D415 (from his point of view on the right) is actually tilted a bit more towards the ceiling. Also the D415 has a narrower field of view, which results in objects of same distance appearing to be closer to the camera compared to the D435. If you compare the camera footage, this leads to the conclusion that the image stream on the right is actually the D415. (Like the titles of the image stream windows say D414 on the right and D435 on the left). So in terms of RGB video quality and sharpness, the D415 (rolling shutter) seems to be better than the D435 (global shutter).

    Are you all stupid? It tells you which camera the stream belongs to in their individual title bars right above the videos.

    Hello Satoshi, Nice video to get an idea of their depth stream. Are you running default settings on both cameras, in the SDK depth viewer tool ? Could you give an estimate of how close and far (the distance in meters) you were pacing with respect to the camera? The D415 seems to do slightly better in near range even though D435 is supposed to have a slightly better range. Your response would be really helpful!

    So, basically, they now use a different raster than R200 did. Frankly, after some disappointing experience with previous models, I wouldn't invest in the D series either.

  • @LukeVilent

    I am out of computer vision for now, so I cannot really give any meaningful advice. Disappointing was a high noise grade which gradually increased over time and usage. The camera was not really fit for real-life conditions.

    How come 415 output seems better than 435?

  • @boulabiar
    @boulabiar5 жыл бұрын

    it's not, if you speak about the RGB maybe the lens is not cleaned, a simple finger touch above the lens can do that. (435 is the left camera)

  • @semicolonaddict8263
    @semicolonaddict82635 жыл бұрын

    It is because the 435 prioritises FOV over accuracy. realsense.intel.com/compare/ I am noticing that the 435 seems to have less noise in this video than the 415 though. Which is odd because intel states that the 435 typically has twice the noise that the 415 does. "The Intel RealSense D435 depth camera has more depth noise (>2x) at any given range compared to the Intel RealSense D415 depth camera, and it does have a smaller minimum operation distance (~0.5x) at the same resolution"
