Fabulous, I've only just come across Ryan Davis because my (Welsh) husband mentioned watching 'Ryan and Ronnie' when he was a child. I am totally smitten with this man and his range of talents.

In high school a friend of mine and I did this routine for 'Cabaret Night'. We knew we would never remember it as written so we printed it out like we were broadcasting a baseball game. Not sure f people noticed we were holding anything, they were laughing so hard. Early '80s and still slayed everyone.

I was stationed briefly at RAF Box during my National Service with a lot of Welshmen. When you play this tribute you will know why I treasure the memory of one of them: a genius who died far too young. One winter evening Ryan Davies came into my room with an unusual request. He had a date with a girl in Bath but found himself short of a item of clean clothing. I still remember, 68 years later, that extraordinary face and that beautiful, musical, deep Welsh voice and hear him now asking, "You gotta vest?" Rev Mike Walling. Canterbury
