No. Although environmental factors strengthen difference. Adhd is not neuro divergence. Neuro divergence is difference in the name. Fight flight freeze is part of the ven diagram these factors all come under...neither of you have study either ...very offended ..NHS diagnosed hfa. Disorder is an issue but thsts where I stoprd your attitude is an issue.

When someone shames you they're mostly seeking a one-up advantage, trying to puff themselves up at your expense. There's the intent Dawn mentions, a harmful one, designed to embarrass you in front of others. They strut away every time.

I used to quite like Dawn French however her massive jump onto the woke bandwagon and her very mean verbal bullying toward anyone who disagreed or questioned was very deflating toward my enjoyment of her work. Sad. I remember when we could enjoy actors without having thier political views shoved at us!

Adele you are inspirational and courageous and when you said crying is a strength that hit me full on... When I was younger and cried I was told to stop and always felt it was shameful. Now I'm older, this is not the case, I cry loads and you have given me hope to say nope it's a strength. Thank you for your honesty. ❤

Robust debate is all very well, but only with logical, not fanatical others. Robust debate also gets you nowhere when you’re being physically attacked by fanatics

Being a younger person who would have been telling Dawn to catch up, you grow a bit older and learn more about the world and then start to realise that those people who seemed out dated in perspective actually have a wise reason for their mindset. Every generation wants to change everything, but not all change turns out to be what’s best.

Disagree with the video title advice. I suffered from dibilitating shame for decades. All sorted a number of years ago. For me, the problem is not shame, but dysfunctonal shame. Healthy shame, is a built-in morals warning system, letting the person know they've done something wrong that violates one's moral code of conduct. Dysunctional shame is grossly disproportionate to the event, and feeds self-condemnation. I appreciate my beneficial shame system that I developed by healing the wounds and dysfunctions that causes dysfunctional shame.

@24:12 May I suggest the essay ¨The Witch Trials of JK Rowling" by Contrapoints? In nearly two hours she explains quite beautifully the bigger context of both women's backgrounds, what is specious about the arguments made and even the title. I think you might like it. Thanks for this wondeful chat.

Loved this, so honest. I totally agree about looking after our bodies, as I believe it remembers trauma and life long issues. So having a massage with hot stones and reiki is such bliss...at least once a month. This helps me to balance my body, my heart and my mind. 😊 Oh and a shakti mat is fab too

People do not have "old" and "new" selves. People cannot "reinvent" themselves. You are the same person from birth to death - one person. You are not someone else now because you think differently. And I think this girl simply has uncontrolled mental health issues.
