    The rev-limited V10 engine the Toro Rosso ran, is basically 1998/1999 F1 engines, or the ones Arrows use in 2001.

  • @RickZanardi
    @RickZanardi7 ай бұрын

    What the... no... how do you guys manage to get it all so wrong... Let's put some clarity... The engine Cosworth supplied both in 1998 and 1999 was the VJ unit, taylor made for Stewart in 1998 and then passed to Minardi for 1999, rated at around 730-740 hp and was an underpowered engine as soon as it came out, in fact it saw no more application after '99. For Stewart in '99 the CR unit was introduced, which was better and had various iterations of development for the Jaguar team, reaching the 900 hp threshold. For 2005, Cosworth supplied Red Bull with the new TJ units, again with 900+ hp, which were the same car and engine in the video, just with performance reducing mods. But the starting engine was a solid 2005 engine with a healthy output of 900 hp, not a 1998 piece of junk with 740... in fact, V8s were able to produce around 750 hp, more than Cosworths old V10. And to top this all, I don't know where you got this 2001 Arrows thing because in that year they were powered by the pathetic Asiatech engines which were privately "developed" Peugeot units, not Cosworths. Arrows ran Cosworths in 2002 again and sold their chassis to Minardi in 2003, maybe that caused the confusion. But Minardi did nothing with those, as they sold them to Aguri Suzuki and became the basis for the 2006 Super Aguri car.

    Essa mp4/20 de 2005 é um dos carros mais lindos que f1 ja teve....foi uma pena o regulamento de 2005 ter limitado os motores v10 a 18.000 rpm , terem recuado o aerofolio traseiro,aumentado a altura da asa dianteira e uso apenas de pneus duros.....se nao fosse isso esses carros de 2005 facilmente bateram todos os recordes de volta de 2004 e de velocidade de reta em monza

Monza 2005 is one of the best qualifying laps I have ever seen. 10x better than his 2018 pole. Pedro was leagues slower. In Bahrain Kimi made a huge mistake on his quali lap like in Canada and Brazil. In the race he destroyed Pedro. Pedro's quali position wasn't even that high to begin with. In 2006 Kimi outqualified Pedro every single race too. Trulli was much faster than Alonso though. That's for sure. Kimi was the reason this car was as fast as it was. Montoya, Pedro and Wurz looked average.
