How things have changed.
Poor old mick stecko in his oompah lumpah car
Bad boys never heard of them proper team is stinkbridge or the dreamers
It didn't have the facilities that some other tracks did but it provided great racing. My local track greatly missed.
Brings back great memories for me my new car first time out only to be spun out by Andy Webb last corner 😢
Great drive by Smith, why he was the best
All the flames, popping and banging on overrun is amazing, it's the one thing that I miss with the modern F1's.
Oi Phil get ,lost ya weirdo
Thanks for sharing this, great to see F2 racing from this period. Looked like one of those ‘OK’ meetings, nothing spectacular, but brilliant to see the blue top taking the red in the final and then staying in front for the rest of the race.
1985 this mate.
Proper stadium. Sadly missed.
Spent many a great afternoon as a kid watching the racing at both Hartlepool and Newton Aycliffe. Many happy memories 😊
I had my first race on white city 1973 I was just 16
Still miss arena Essex 90 s and early 2000 were the best some nice Tin there
Looks a fabulous track apart from a few big bumps & terrible lighting 😂
Finnekin great looking car
First time I ever saw stock cars anywhere other than Coventry, thanks for posting
As I'm also a rail fan i loved this track .Both hobbies in one and some superb races. Not many wings in sight
Tremendous to find this. Thank you very much for sharing. Magic.
Brilliant video! 👏
Mike Close was bloody great
This must have been from the mid to late 80's
This documentairy is from 1995.
Dont know if it was edited but didnt see any yellows for any crash, less bothered about injury in those days😂.
Was a great fun track. Some fine old names lined up there. Remember once going there and seeing wolfie chase the pace car! Notice no fancy expensive tyres on , run what you got. I'd forgotten how fast Ainsworth was.
I used to finish work in Lincoln at 5pm on a Friday and drive like that up the A1 so I didn't miss a race (only joking).... many happy memories watching the competition between Super Stu, Wolfenden and Wainman to name a few. A million times more exciting than elite monaco grand prix racing.
Keith Stanford 33 shat himself in that final there after trying to plant Russ into the fence and realised he's right behind him.
10:12 418 John Harris looks exactly the same then as he did last time I saw him 😂😂😂
i was there them were the good old days b4 money spoilt the sport
Before money spoilt the sport? Stu Smith had a car head above shoulders of everyone else!
Great racing Shame about the poor video quality
Dude it was filmed in the 80s and probably transfered onto vhs then into digital. Beggers can't be choosers.
Great video John keep going all the best to you
Just seen Bob "Grandad" Dunn on the roof painting the car... Yo Bob 😊😊😊
John got that Crown off me. He only last a few laps before getting run in by a squaddie..... I was the OSH lada at the start of the non ford race... number 81 😊
A wonderful era for F2 and a fantastic venue.
Great upload so many track gone now lot of memories I used to screen sport got any more upload
That track was rough as guts.
I’ll remember this geezer in his black n green motor avin a banging head on with car 22
No body can deny that Smithy was the man, bar non.
Great up load I love your videos you put up it looks like a great track
Good to watch…a very tricky meeting as very little grip available that day….Russel doing what he did best…and yellow flags only when cars roll over or completely block the track…oh and a appearance by fred the infamous tractor driver leading recovery operations…brilliant
Great upload from would of sport great memories from Saturday athernoon in the 70 and 80s
Humber Hawks had piss-weak fuel pumps, plus the fuel line was in a bad place, so got crushed. Would reverse up hills, like a Model T, but generally were an OK car. Nicely built!
Oh please. The posse?
Can't believe the Acrow prop shit. That's cheating.
Acrows! What a load of shit. Health and Safety strikes again. No fun at all.
Thank God for proper lap scoring, neachell in fence for at least a lap!
I miss this track on a Sunday night s lot of memories
What a great race at Bradford….454 carrying on his vendetta with 199…..and Stuart winning with impossible odds….and the crowd went home buzzing
.... and blind do to the amount of dust from the world final race. 😉
Some great old footage 😆
Fastest shale track ever in the UK, would love to see how fast a modern F1 would get round here.
One of the worst builds I’ve ever seen
