As the happy owners of a skoolie, we are ready to take on the world... or at least the U.S.A. With a family of 7, tiny living can sometimes be hard, but we're always up for an adventure!! We can't wait to have you along for the journey!
Air locks are a new one on me. Never heard of them before. When you replace it with an electric system, will that run directly off of the batteries?
@EffieG-ez9tf3 ай бұрын
I may have missed it, but how long is your bus? Do you ever share the electrical and plumbing design plans and layout diagrams, and if so, could you post them for us to see? Is it difficult to set up and run such a system? I really love how you have arranged everything. It all flows very nicely. Can you estimate about how much water you use for showers for the whole family? I only ask because my two adult sons and I are contemplating moving into a bus just about the size of yours and we all love our hot showers. How often do you need to refill your fresh water tanks? The port where you attach a hose to the outside of the bus and fill both tanks is very clever. Are your batteries lithium phosphate or something else? Sorry for bugging you with all these questions, but I am finding it difficult to understand all the information we need when it comes from the experienced pro’s; they all tend to speak some ancient Gear-Head dialect and I have great respect for their knowledge, but I am a long way from being able to translate it. No offense intended to the pro’s, of course. They are a valuable resource. It’s just that I personally won’t be able to devote ten years of my remaining life to learn all of this unless it is in plain language. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. You both did a wonderful job with it.😊

@glennman98909 ай бұрын
I believe the use of plywood strips will provide good protection against thermal transfer at the fasteners. I used spray foam, but also ran R-5 foam board over all the steel, but the fasteners transfer heat and cold. I'm having to insulate over each screw head before installing final finish materials. Nice Job!

You're teaching kids that dinosaurs lived alongside with people? Ouch!
@TheWanderingNichols Жыл бұрын
Actually, there's a ton of proof that dinosaurs lived much later than many people believe. From stories of people fighting dragons recorded in Beowuf, to secluded jungle tribes hunting dinosaurs 50 years ago, there's even documentation from the 1940s of fishermen pulling a decaying (not fossilised) water dinosaur from the sea. Literally 80% of the ocean is still unexplored by humans. For all we know, dinosaurs STILL exist. All this and the Bible actually talks about dinosaurs living about 4,000 years ago in the book of Job.
