  I was a kid in the 70s, and in 1975 Trail of the Lonesome Pine was a surprise hit. My dear dad had it on 7". It introduced me to Way Out West, and the utter joy of that dance. And their films. The Music Box, Saps at Sea, Sons of the Desert. My kids are currently 7 and 10 and they still literally scream with laughter at Chaplin. (As well as loving all the modern stuff too!). They prefer the silent Stan and Ollie, I think it's the simplicity of the early ones.

  Supposedly a live action film version of Jonny Quest was circling around in possible development for a while but never got greenlit. Warner Bros announced the movie’s director in 2018 and in 2021 they said a script had been turned in but that’s the last news I can find. It’s possible it got thrown off track from the pandemic and then the strikes in Hollywood last year, but who knows? 🤷‍♂️

  If what i read is correct. This scene was filmed on the very stage Stan and Ollie gave their final performance on. It was brilliant using the silhouette and shadows of ths actors playin Stan and Ollie. Made me feel like i was watching the actual Stan and Ollie one last time.

  I’m an 82 year old woman with tears in my eyes and a stirring in my heart after watching this wonderful depiction of Stan and Ollie. I grew up watching them on TV and to this day they make me laugh. Such blessings to our lives.❤

  Of all the Batman villains, Caesar Romero was my favorite, it was his laugh that made him the best. R.I.P. to a very talented actor.

  It's Ceasar then Heath for me when it comes to The Joker. I'm not a fan of the Tim Burton Batman movies. Joaquin Phoenix's Joker doesn't include Batman, so it hits different. Phoenix was great, though.

  He may not be as iconic as Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix but he's always be the best Joker. RIP Cesar, you legend.

  Ceasar was more iconic than any of those other clowns. The only one who is comparable was Jack Nicholson. The other two were flat, boring portrayals and nowhere near the same league.

  The nature of Caesar's Joker was - even more than the other cartoonish characters - much like he knew he was in a silly TV show. It's very fitting, given Joker's "super-sane", 4th-Wall-breaking awareness of being in a comic book.

  When he auditioned for the role of The Joker he read the script and couldn't stop laughing. When the producers heard him laugh they hired him on the spot. They said that the laugh was perfect for The Joker.

  @Good Fleetwood For context, it was actually Ross Schafer who, right after this clip said "Is that great? 81 years old". It was amusing, and cool to see he still had it. He did it better than Gorshin did the Riddler laugh in that same segment.
