Solid, slow & beautiful work. She will be a marvel when finished. May I ask what you use for caulking? Many thanks!

I’m trying to remember why Alexandra is so familiar to me. Maybe Canoe Magazine years ago… still skilled. Beautiful canoe.

Я бы на корме ниже ватерлинии приклеил бы "расческу"-устройство, помогающее исключить таскание воды кормой.

My wife and I sailed his H28, built in Sydney BC in 1964, for fifteen years. Quite Tune seems to be a more delicate version of the H28.

V😂😂ery good discussion..."that is the magic", when referring to the build of a boat from a few pieces of paper! Yes, I built a British design...Yachting Monthly Senior by Tony Gibb, I believe. Taught me a lot & was as you say " magical" to sail that boat.😂😊

Electric motors with the motor up top are noisier than those with the motor in the hub - this looks like old technology to me.

There is something of a resurgence in places... due to the problems of composite designs in the face of custom builds .. Spirit yatchs are but one. They tend to use bio epoxies to protect the wood but new chemicaly engineered soft woods can be used in place of not just traditionally ressiliant rare hard woods but metals and composites. With the advantages of wood but far more resiliant and acting as renewable carbon sinks... that are toxin free. Acoya and Inventwoods Metelwood are two examples of whats becoming possible .

I built my Annapolis Wherry 13 years ago in one of Goeff's classes at Wooden Boat School. It was a great experience. The school itself is wonderful, nice accommodations and good food. You get to meet a very diverse group of people, as there are always multiple classes with all different sorts of subjects. The wherry is a fabulous boat, and building it at Wooden Boat made it relatively easy and fun. All these years later, I still row mine frequently. It is a sublime boat!
