Spindle and Spoon Homestead
Spindle and Spoon Homestead
I raise angora rabbits, grow food, cotton, and natural dyes on my tiny homestead. It’s my mission to share the traditional skills of hand spinning, gardening, cooking, and homemaking, with other mamas who want to dive headfirst into the creative homestead life.

Enjoyed your video. Thank you for all the effort it takes to produce a video like this.
@@RabbitryandYarns thank you for watching!!
I've never heard of adding grape leaves before!
It's a nice trick if you have a grape vine!
Thanks for this. Just picked my first cucumbers today. I used my grandmas refrigerator pickle recipe. Listening to your video, realized I did put the ends in my jar. oops. Now I know for future batches!
They will still taste delicious I'm sure!
you dont have to waterbath pickles.just bring you liquid to a boil then put directly in jar with the cucumbers and seal!
The tutorial seemed great but I found the loud music too distracting so couldn't watch it , not a complaint, just feedback.
yes to all of this. What a beautifully made video. Will be sharing with my non-spinning friends!
I also have Angora rabbits, love your videos.
This is my dream! My husband is also finishing schools now. 1 toddler and i work full time. Starting Sourdough and tomaotes this year but planning beds for next year.
Enjoy! What an exciting time!!
Interesting! Thank you
this is awesome. does most of the sugar ferment out? like, is it real sweet? thanks, im gonna try it this week! hope ya'll get the AC fixed!
@@mikeymakesmaps1849 it is still sweet but not super sweet! Most of the sugar is eaten by the good bacteria.
Very interesting!
Love from our homestead in Morocco 🇲🇦 Great video!
Thank you!
Looks delicious! Also, we have the same set of kitchen knives. 😊
Thank you for posting!
I'm gonna do it...thank you
So soft!
Yummy!! 😊
I agree with your reasoning for canning. Most things I grow to be stored dried(garlic, potatoes, winter squash. Dried beans and herbs, etc) except fruit for jam and tomato-based products. I',m enjoying your channel so far. I'm hoping to find a balance between growing food for my family and making clothes for them.
Excellent and magical presentation! I have found all this to be true as I continue on my own fiber arts journey. Ty!
Just found your channel! Cant wait to see more content. I am starting an suburban attempt at homemaking and making things by hand.
Thank you for subscribing! Glad you're here.
Yummy, I love blueberry muffins
