I saw three times the video. the sequence of hand painting is wonderful. There is a lot of energy in the gesture. This brush is also Fantastic. Beautiful strokes!

which color do you use dos the skin of the face? thanks

+ismaelmannheim - elaborate-style painters often use white, yellow, ocher and rouge, but the most important thing is the "coloring" - you have to imagine you are applying makeup on her/his face. There are four layers of colors I mentioned above those painters usually use to get the final result.

The paint itself is a composite of animal glue, alum and mineral paint. It's eternal as it doesn't perish but it requires technique from preparation & handling to application, they often use a two brush technique, one for application and a second one wet that does the blurring.

@@TheGrmany69 do you perhaps know where to find good books with descriptions of the process? The only ones I found are in Chinese :D It's hard to find info if I can achieve the same results on watercolor paper as on mature rice paper ( I feel uncomfortable with thin paper).
