Thanks for the guide, helps a lot especially to see the spacing you use between buildings. This is the best city builder / colony sim I've ever played and I've now started setting up efficient food chains with livestock and just about to start making clothes/shoes and be practically self sufficient. I didn't realise you could feed pigs with food from the farmers, that's such a nice touch to go along with the awesome feature of trading between citizens and your markets. You also get Linseed as a byproduct of Flax and can use that to feed chickens.

After about time stamp 20 mins why did you jump 23 years later into the game?! I have been wondering how to get that far in the game. Your tutorial was awesome before you jumped almost 25 years ahead. I think most people have struggles with over building too quickly, not understanding the seasonal job switches, and money management. If you have a video that goes into specifics I’d love to see it! One of the most confusing parts of the game for me is how do you manage feeding your cows/sheep/horses with the maximum amount of food the game allows and you’re able to breed over 3 animals? Like cows for instance, says 500 max hay but with a BUNCH of water it still only allows me 3 cows before they starve after 6 months? All of that info is skipped.
i see, it whas just because of the tips. and i understand it. i will make an other video, maybe step by step guide on how to get that far.. for the livestock. if you go to the 5 option you can see the supply of food you can give your livestock everything on it you can fill in to max, with the hay, if thats the only option. i make sure that i have different hay baracks filld up. more then they need, also i make sure that i use the laborors to supply them also. and if i have more cows i also make sure i have more workers in their. so they can work faster... but i will make a video about it, good thing you say that thank you!

All excellent advice. I normally also place 1or 2 wells close to the houses and farm and also stock firewood at the market stalls. Economy, I find, start low and readjust to suit after a few years, after most households have saved some money.

If I may add one tip: I tend to build first three houses in village with extra large Gardens, using F1. This way these three houses produce big enough Surplus of vegetables for the whole village to last until next garden harvest in autumn.Why the first three? Three houses I can realistically build before end of April, So ploty of land sekund them get sown And harvester thé same year. I buy produce into granary And that way food variety Is assured from the beginning. Also Are generally inhabited by mayor And wealthiest Citizens,So bigger plots of land make sense.
yeah sure you always can but that`s a good tip and i will use that in an other video! i tought they will come in with a year of food supply so they will have enough. so the next year they will grow their own and everything will be fine. but this will increase to food supply allot so that will be a good thing..
@@Mister-X-Gaming But there is a problem .You cannot move the people from the houses into the apartments if you want later a city made of rawhousea. They won't move... I don't know why they don't want to.
I like to place cart sheds next to granaries And warehouses And set supply in market stalls to Carter. Also one of the first things I did After building trading post was settings up two shoemakers purchased leather And set these shoemakers to be active only in Winter. Shoes Are very good sources of income And necessary for the happiness of our population. Also I did not match the Reason why your taverna was not working. Was it due to lack of alkohol on the market? If So, you can purchase mead And horilka via trading dock.
that`s a good tip mate. yes i was because of the lack of alcohol. and i know i can buy it on the trading dock. market. but i m not sure why ore what it`s causing that problem because i had enough of it.. but it`s working again finally. but with the cart sheds and the carter is very helpfull thanks!
@@Mister-X-Gaming I build cart parkings in strategic locations too, but I use carters for specific things, such as supplying markets (where I use laborers as well), production buildings And also the trade post/dock where I build cart shed very close, So I can make quick last minute deals And I have better Chance of trade good s being delivered in time.

HI ! I like Ostriv , so thank you for your video ! A couple of hint : you can sell charcoal at the trading post . It's good money ! And the cityzen can sell vegetables and honey from theyr garden : you need a granary for cucumber , cabbages etc ; you can see an icon "buy from local" or something like this and then the market stall can sell It ....i hope this is helpful ( Sorry for my english..)!
