Hi everyone and welcome to my channel here on youtube, something I have wanted to do for a long time now, sharing various photos and videos from home and abroad, I am hoping I will be able to upload content on a regular basis. Also i would love to know your thoughts good or bad, as all comments make you see things from a different angle, if there is a particular subject you would like to see covered then by all means let me know and I will try to include it, can't make any promises though.

@@daveshaw7834 hi dave, no problem at all, as you can see it only takes a few mins, try the little Spanish bar on the mini roundabout, 2 euros a bottle and made to feel welcome there, we called in most nights on our way out as he was shut by the time we were heading back 🤣, enjoy your stay 👍

We stay in the hotel Cala bona every August for a couple of weeks, book direct with the hotel so we can choose our room brilliant hotel

Hi Peter, if its the place I'm thinking about, walking away from the strip the 3 pigs restaurant is on the right, keep walking for about 10 mins and it's on the right hand side

The nerve of Haven We payed for a gold caravan and didnt get a balcony when most silver and bronze caravans have balconys
Hi Patrick, we found the mimosa really comfortable, clean and friendly. We went on a bed and breakfast basis and I cannot fault the help yourself breakfast at all, the staff were always around to help out, we would definitely stay there again, close to everything else you need. memories of growing up in Bridlington 1950's, when North of the harbour was green lawns, flower beds and wooden benches to sit peacefully, today, a noisy, dirty, eye-sore of a fun fare! Which is your preference I wonder?

A very good video of Roda and a useful reminder that there are numerous better places to stay in Corfu, which is to say almost everywhere, except Sidari and Kavos.

Hi, the ship is in a different port nearly every morning you wake up, so it's mainly late afternoon and evening to think about onboard. there are things for children to do, a kids zone, a VR area as well, if I wouldn't hesitate taking our grand children, I think there is enough onboard to keep everyone occupied, thank you for watching and for the question... Hi Georgina, can't fault the quality of the caravans at blue dolphin, its just a shame the entertainment isn't anything like it used to be, being honest it feels they can't get you out of the bars soon enough, thanks for the comment....Ian
great vlog mate. I'm heading to Sidari in August with my son for 5 nights. bit of father and son bonding time. gonna get a quad bike and do some exploring if possible. is there much to do in the area?
Hi, sorry for the late reply, being honest Sidari is a typical holiday resort, there are the usual watersports on the beach, i would have a look at the yellow boats that you can hire on the beach, just a great place to relax, good food and entertainment that suits everyone. thanks for the comment and for watching, hope you have a great time.

Not a free lounger to be seen... are all the public areas just very busy all the time? We fancy trying a cruise but there didnt seem to be any spare places to enjoy the sunshine in your whole video....
On the day in question it was a day at sea, so everyone was on board, but we never had a problem regarding sunbeds

Yeah have to admit we do feel really relaxed and at home in Sidari, the people are so warm and welcoming, having said that, we find the greek people generally nice anyway
How did you get to the town center from the ship? Any transport of offer?

Hi, the hotel is very clean, staff really good, also do a really nice help yourself breakfast, we didnt have an evening meal there as we like to eat out at different places. the 2 pool there have kids sections as well, so pretty safe for all, being on the sidari strip you are only a minute or 2 from everything whats on offer, so yeah we would stay there again. thanks for the comment and for watching the videos, cheers Ian.

Hi Nicola, we first went in 2004 and when we went back last year we couldn't believe how much it had changed, and for the better as well, Alcudia port is really nice now, with bars, eateries and shops as you can see, thanks for watching and for the comment

Hi Natalie, there are plenty of bars on the strip in Sidari, never really had a bad meal anywhere but I do recommend Memories for food, depending on what kind on nightlife you want there really is something for everyone, there are no what we would call nightclubs though, good entertainment as well, it'll be nice and warm still as well in August, the beach is good as well, shallow water and the sunbeds are free as long as you get drinks or snacks from the bars that own them, hope that helps a bit 👍

Aphrodite Hotel was looking sad this year
1st time we had stayed there so dont really know what it was like previous but the staff were brilliant, couldnt do enough for us, 100% would stay there again

Another vlog I enjoyed Ian,The smelly bridge you crossed is disgusting!!,Its been like that for years, and I don't understand why the local authorities haven't cleaned it up yet? The only time in my life I've been bitten by mosquitoes and I've travelled far and wide,is in Sidari,and I blamed that stagnant water near the bridge..

Hi Margaret, there were lots of taxis parked up at the port when we got there, all the drivers had trips in mind and prices, we jumped in one and went to pompei, had a couple of hours there, the driver picked us up where we arranged with him no problem, he took no money off us until we got back to port, it cost € 100, cheaper than doing the organised trip, so pretty happy with that, hope that helps
Another vlog I enjoyed Ian,It looks very quiet in the day,I understand a lot of holidaymakers like to sit around their pool or on the beach,but it still seems quiet. We were here in September 2019,and thought it was quiet then..Not sure why?
Hi Margaret, thanks for the comment, we were there last year but the first week of September and it was pretty busy, almost at the end of the season now and it's getting quieter by the day, and colder at night. Still loved the food and bars as usual, the beach did seem really quiet though
