Hello, welcome to my channel! I will be sharing my love of stationery, beauty items, art, and books through the lens of chronic illness and mental health.
My goal is to bring awareness to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and mental health while also sharing the things that bring me joy. My motto is to always embrace imperfections! I am by no means an expert rather I am learning and growing in all areas! 😊

This made my day. Thank you! ❤
I’m so happy it did! 😊
❤
Today’s action step is to reflect on what you are grateful for and either write it down or share it with someone important in your life. This one can be hard for me sometimes. Allow yourself to feel whatever emotions come up for you when doing this exercise.
Amazing that you are doing this, I love your t-shirt!! Lots of love💗
Thank you! ☺🧡
Today’s action step is to ask for help. Maybe you have been struggling with something and you can identify someone to ask for help or maybe you are already great at asking for help and you model this for others. Let’s all show up for each other because we can all benefit from some help 🫶🏼😊.
Ew brother ew
Today’s action step is an exercise to help us recognize the controllability of our thoughts. Today, just notice when unhelpful thoughts pop into your mind and ask yourself if you are willing to allow the thought to exist, while still engaging in something meaningful. Hope you are all having a restful Sunday!
Today’s action step is to create something! Maybe you are a parent and you use crayons and color with your children, maybe you take some time to paint, or maybe you take a few minutes to doodle, whatever it is I hope it brings you joy 😊. There are many purposes and benefits from taking the time to create, such as a way to practice mindfulness or a good distraction. For me it also helps me learn to be imperfect while also feeling proud of what I create. Happy Saturday! 🫶🏼❤️
Today’s action step is to check in on a friend or family member & ask how they are coping with life. This is a gentle reminder for me as much as it is for you to continue to show up for our loved ones as a way to remain connected & in community🫶🏼❤️.
Today’s action step is to initiate an outing with a friend. As someone who is socially anxious, I have to work on reframing any unhelpful thoughts that may get in the way of me doing this. At the same time, I also know that I need to make an effort to reach out to my friends. A good resource for those interested to read more on social relationships is the book Platonic by Marisa G. Franco. Happy Friday!
Today’s action step is a mindfulness exercise. Challenge yourself to sit in silence and observe your thoughts. Notice what thoughts pop into your mind & name them. Mindfulness is approaching things with an open mind, being present in the moment, and staying focused on one thing at a time. This is just one example of a mindfulness practice so if it does not work for you that is okay. It takes practice and trial and error to figure out which mindfulness practice works for you.
Today’s action step is another writing exercise. For today, reflect on a time you made a mistake, then reflect on what you would tell a friend, and use this to guide a self-compassionate letter to yourself. Remember, it is okay if this is hard for you. I struggle with this myself and continue to work on identifying shame spirals and reminding myself that I am human and it is okay to make mistakes. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!
Today’s action step is to take some time to journal. I usually start by writing down what happened, then my thoughts, and then from there can better identify my emotions. Remember there is no wrong way to journal. Just grab a pen and write! I will be writing about all of the situations that triggered anger/frustration for me today. Happy Monday!
Today’s action step is an example of a cognitive defusion exercise. These exercises are to help create space between yourself and unhelpful thoughts. Remember, just because you think it doesn’t make it true.
Although I am a therapist, I myself struggle to do the things I know are good for me. So I am sharing ideas for small action steps you can take everyday to nurture yourself and will join you in doing them!

Hi! I really like your channel. Could you read “The Matryoshka Memoirs” by Sasha Colby next? It’s my favourite book of 2023. Thank you!
Oh yes of course! Thank you for the recommendation! 📚❤️📚Looking forward to reading it!
This was very engaging and love seeing how you’re using your planner! I’m so sorry for what you’re going through and pray you will find long lasting relief ❤
You are so sweet! Thank you! ☺💕

Hi! wow, thank you for this review! I had always been wondering about subscription but with this I am totally fine to understand that maybe it doesn't worth that much, maybe. I always wait until big sales, and so far it really worthy the wait. As you said sometimes the boxes bring items that you never use. One of the last one that I got was the picnic and it brought the small picnic basket that it's cute but I don't used. Actually my little girl take it to play with her barbies. Anyway, Thank you again! very helpful.
So glad you found it helpful! 😊
Hello! Thank you so much for reviewing these, I just spotted them on the website and was looking for more info on them! They look really nice but I will have to think whether it’s a good decision for me or not. I do love the way they’ve narrowed a colour palette but a you say, nice crayons can be had for less. I’m really interested in what you have to share about perfectionism (or anything else). Looking forward to more!
Thank you! Glad the review was helpful! I do always recommend this book on perfectionism: (www.newharbinger.com/9781684038459/the-anxious-perfectionist/) but also plan to do more on book recommendations. Hope it helps!
Thank you so much! @@TheRALifestyle
On the monthly, if you didn't want to drag marker across everyday, you could simply use a dot marker and place a dot on each day you're reading it, write how many pages and/or how long you read for that day (especially since you're a mood reader) you can see when it's more productive for you to get in some reading! Or, if you come across a favorite quote on that day, you can simply index the page it's on to write down later in your weekly! I am thinking I need a weeks mega for my reading journal especially since its my first one. Don't want to put too much pressure on me so I will keep up with it.
Thank you so much! I will definitely give that a try! I am also curious to see if I will need a weeks mega but am enjoying using the weeks already 😁

Hi! I’m a psych NP and I’m using one of my Weeks for hobbies, which includes recreational reading and crochet stuff. I’m using another for work consumption, so like books that would be a good read to recommend to either colleagues and clients, journal articles, podcasts, pharmacy gems, etc….
Oh awesome! Those are great ideas for using the Weeks! Nice meeting a fellow mental health provider 😊
Yes! Nice to meet you!
New Sub❤Glad to see someone else using the hobonichi for reading. I’m using the A6 this year. You should stop by and see how I plan to use mine. I may do an updated view on it in more detail.
Nice! Will definitely check it out! I’m nervous to stay consistent with mine and love to see how others are using their Hobonichis 😊
@@TheRALifestyle it's okay just take your time, there is no rush. Just read and have fun in your hobo. That's my motto for 2024 and even now lol. I can't wait to start my a6
Thanks so much for sharing! This really resonated with me. I have long Covid and have been struggling to find a manageable health tracker. I really enjoyed seeing your setup. ❤

If you can’t think of anything to fill out on the weekly page, I had downloaded a Word of the Day app and wrote that and brief definition in the space for each day. Kinda fun.
Oh that is a great idea! Thank you for sharing ☺Downloading it now! It gave me another idea to track new words I come upon while reading too!

we have the same 5-year techo set up (cover, size and pencil board)! good luck to us filling it out for 5 years! it's so interesting because it has 2 leap years included in it 2024 and 2028.
Oh how cool! You are right, there are only two sections to write in for 2/29 for 2024 and 2028, how cool! Yes definitely good luck to us for filling it out 😀
OMG, your Linton Weeks Zip Cover. How did I miss this?! We both got all the Opanchu Usagi things! Wow, I haven't seen anyone unbox the crayons. I'd love to see how they work.
Oh how cool! I love Opanchu lol And yeah I am happy to swatch the crayons in another video!
Thank you for the tip to use the weekly supplement as a tracker. Also, I love the sparkly Twinkle Tweed cover. But I cannot make another Hobonichi order :) 😂 Be well.
Glad it can help! And totally get that 😄you have amazing willpower!
I bet the video you saw of the 5 year was James Burke. He does a lot of art that's fun to watch. he has Australian accent so I like to listen to his voiceovers too. You have some nice things. I love that twinkle cover as well. Good job for your first video.
Oh yes it actually was his video! I really liked how he went through his use of the 5 year techo. And thank you! 😀
I love the Twinkle Tweed!! Unfortunately I didn’t see it until after my order had shipped :( Enjoy it-it’s beautiful!!
@@dbgoldbach9947 Oh no! Hobonichi website just has so many things, I changed my cart so many times lol Thank you!
