Love you both. Great that Jonathan Murphy be the one to carry on the work in God's field. Bigger shoes to fill and Murphy seems to be the right fit. Still feels like the end of an era. Pastor Chuck is such a blessing. Happy for Murphy.

I am so glad Pastor Chuck was wise and humble enough to realize he needed to prepare Stonebriar for the next leader after he passes, instead of the church possibly descending into a dogfight for who's on top. I love Dr. Murphy but I wonder why he didn't choose Bill Butterworth?

Just viewed this today 5/5/24. I'm so excited to see Pastor Swindoll passing the torch. My heart knows this is of the Lord and I've seen a glimpse of this coming since August of 2020 and more clearly since January 2024...(since Stonebriar first went live on KZread, I believe that was September 2019...or maybe 2018...(getting kinda ancient LOL - I plea old folks crowded brain syndrome) LOL. I will continue praying for all of you at Stonebriar and Insight for Living. Thank you Pastor Swindoll and your lovely bride/sweetheart Cynthia for these decades of service to the Body of Christ (for me, since 1983 @EVFree in Fullerton/Insight for Living radio broadcast). Pastor Swindoll God placed you as an earthly father figure to me - mine was never in my life). PS I use to smile when Pastor Chuck would say, Stonebriar wasn't going to get rid of him LOL and in so many words express that he would die in the pulpit. Pastor Murphy praying for God's continued strength, wisdom, courage, and His vision to remain clear...that you will continue to be guided by HIS EYES (meaning you've got to remain 'up close and personal' & "in HIS FACE") respectfully and in His Holiness.

Pastor Chuck - I have been a grateful student of your ministry for 40+ years (since I was in high school). I love your teaching and still am blessed by it, which is why I am hesitant to leave this comment. In the introduction of your message, you said that Marcus Aurelius Antonius was known as Mark Antony. These are not, however, the same men. While it was indeed said of Mark Antony by his tutor that he couldn't resist temptation, Mark Antony neither hated Christians nor did he ever persecute them - he died in 30BC, many years before Jesus was born. Persecution of Christians did increase under Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antonius (who lived AD 121-180 and ruled from AD 161-180). But Marcus Aurelius Antonius was not the same person as Mark Antony. I do not say this to criticize, only to suggest a tweak in your research notes on Mark Antony. God bless you, Pastor Chuck, and thank you for your continued preaching of the word of God! You are a blessing to so many!
