You're likely wondering what the heck a "SuperMarioT" means? Based off an older content creator's channel I used to watch, SuperMarioT was made to extend myself and my interests in video content.
My content revolves around various discussions and analytical video essays pertaining to video games and other entertainment mediums that interest me. You'll catch gaming/trailer analyses, gaming discussions, reaction videos, let's plays in which I'll play through a video game with commentary, gameplay montages, and more content of that nature and similar nature. As you've likely already guessed, Super Mario and his various sub series is one of those franchises I like and make content around, but there's also plenty of videos like those on Super Smash Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon and soon even more franchises, hopefully more beyond video games as well. I have no issue with super but the game after super sucks for paper mario besides origami king which I never play so I have no opinion on it
Got the game today. Was eager to speak with my wallet to Nintendo. One of my favorite games ever. Thus, I discovered this channel today while binging any and all Paper Mario TTYD videos. Excellent stuff.
There is a secret boss if you go back down the Pit of 100 Trials again after defeating BoneTail.

Wait, why is 1600x900 considered a "huge compromise"…? So many Switch games hit far lower resolutions. Pikmin 3 Deluxe only manages 720p at 30fps, Pikmin 4 going for a resolution only marginally higher than 720p, Princess Peach Showtime outputting in a similarly chonky resolution, and Bowser's Fury doing 720p and struggling to hit 60fps. Somehow NOW 1600x900 is an issue…? It's the same exact resolution and frame rate Origami King had… except Origami King had performance issues with certain events and bosses, dropping noticeably down to 20fps. This game gives us a VERY smooth 30fps. Would I like it to be 1080p? Sure. But on my 65" 4KTV, 1600x900 still looks pretty damn good. Even the reduced frame rate doesn't bother me for the most part. The only time it does is when the screen is scrolling really fast, like when I use Mini-Yoshi to travel faster.

Really, the only thing this remake had to do to be better than the original was make the backtracking less tedious. At the time I’m typing this, I’m just coming up to Chapter 4, so I don’t know if they did anything to mitigate going between Twilight Town to Creepy Steeple and back yet. But already, getting from the top of Rougeport to the titular Door is so much better, as is the dedicated fast travel room. Throw in the devs going above and beyond with the visuals and soundtrack (oh, and SKIPPABLE CUTSCENES), and yeah. This game rules so far, can’t wait to play more.
There's a pipe in the house near the exit to Twilight Town that takes you straight to the Creepy Steeple.
If this is the last year of the first-party Nintendo Switch lineup, TTYD is a perfect ending for a good era. I really hope Nintendo considers bringing back the formula that hardcore fans wanted for so long for their next console.
Censorship is never good. Removing something just because there is a fear that it can be interpreted as sexist or insulting like “Tubby” or Princess Peach realizing that she needs to act more like a Princess or Catcalling which turns into actual character development & female empowerment is such a foolish thing to do & cannibalizes the character development & world building as a whole. Also, with the whole “transgender” matter, Vivian was never trans. There is a HUGE difference between cross dressers, effeminate men, femboys, & people that identify as another gender. It’s honestly very bigoted that many LGBT people try to mix them up because they’re insulting their own established system of confusing gender categorization. Men can be effeminate. Heck, I have some feminine traits despite being straight with conservative values. & a cross-dresser or drag queen still identifies as a man hence “cross-dressing”. They love women’s clothes & fashion & don’t want society’s rules to keep them from trying out that area of fashion. & Japan’s transgender culture is extremely different from the West’s. They have people called “tuckers” that, well, “tuck” their junk in-between their legs & never get any surgeries to actually transition. Kinda like Poison from Street Fighter. They aren’t inherently transgender & moreso a more extreme form of Cross-dresser. They like acting as women rather than being & identifying as one. It’s a matter of preference than gender dysphoria. A transgender believes that they are in the wrong body & hate themselves for who they are, a crossdresser acts like the other gender because they see it as art or even as a kink. It’s a hobby rather than an identity.

Fire flower, Hammer suit, Cape Feather Upgrade badges: Some badges oughta be upgradeable and have better attack power and new properties too Challenges: more in depth and difficult than put of 100 trials. And every set of challenges done rewards you something great and different Upgradeable badges: Some badges like said can be upgraded to newer better badges Examples: Quake Hammer to power quake then mega quake Fire Drive Upgraded to blaze drive then inferno drive Power bounce jump and smash to mega bounce jump and smash. And the badges would still cost the same fp and bp. But getting said upgrades would be specific and difficult to gain requirements. Speaking of... Three badges in particular to add more to your fight style Fire flower: Adds fire properties to all of Mario's attacks. Also causing burn to enemies. Some moves that were already fire based are now double in damage and can also damage and burn armored and fire enemies. Hammer suit: Adds hammer properties to attacks and hammer attacks are now thrown. Some moves that were already hammer based can ignore targets' defense Cape feather: Adds air priority to all attacks, also ups attack of jump moves by 2. Moves that are jump attacks hit multiple enemies at once Paper aesthetic level: Keep it at the same level as Thousand Year Door. That amount is just right. Not too much or too little. Animations of characters: smooth and fluid like Thousand Year door and no white borders around the characters. Paper aesthetic: To be on the same level as Thousand Year Door. Something I'd like to point out is that the Trouble Center only allowing 1 quest at a time does make some sense from a lore perspective. If you manage to find the secret back entrance to the Trouble Center, you'll find that it's run by a member of the Robbos, the rival gang of the Pianta Syndicate. As such, the idea is that they're running it to make money by forcing people to pay in order to cancel the troubles they take. However, yeah, being able to only take one at a time is pretty silly from a gameplay perspective, so I completely understand why some people are disappointed by that.
My favorite new thing is giving the party members their own character theme and also the dialog after beating Hooktail feels a lot better.
To watch this video now, after having started the game only a few months ago only makes all of your points even stronger... tokens are insaley less powerful now, gifts are just the green pipe.. overall it is only asking for you to buy the gold pass, which could seem cheap but after a few months is more expensive than 8 deluxe
never played this game before and i wasnt going to until i saw the hype before release and thought i'd give it a shot and this really is the game everyone has been hyping it up to be, would not have bought it without watching your vids for years talking about how good this game and series is and its every bit as good as everyones said it is. plus all the changes you mentioned like with items, the graphics obviously, the animations, vivian being localised and represented well, and im sure changing a lot of the backtracking ill appricate being gone the further in i get, all of it making for an even better experience. this game has made me go from someone following the series out of curiousity to a real paper mario fan hoping that this is the future of the series with a game this good

Super Paper Mario is an OC-insert fanic story, and I love it for that.
First-timer here. I have played 3 of the 5 Mario & Luigi games, 2 of which since I was a kid I have beaten (I think) every mainline game barring NSMBU/LU I played Super Paper Mario extensively as a child, and it remains as a personal favorite. And for years and years and years, Super Mario Galaxy has been my favorite game of all time. This game has officially dethroned Galaxy to me. It is without a doubt now my favorite game of all time. Thank you, Nintendo.

Honestly I do not understand these frame rate discussion, like game looks and runs beautifully. I am currently on the moon base and have had zero issues whole game. Like it is turn based so not heavy action set pieces so 30 frames/sec is not a real issue
What the new pipe room also improves upon is the side content. While yes, doing just multiple troubles at a time would be more ideal, outside of the extra trip to Hooktail castle among a couple others all of them are much more manageable and take much less time to do because of the convenience of warp pipes cutting down on the time. Thus improving the pacing. It takes much less time to complete.
I wanna know what those people that defended the direction Sticker Star took the series think. Cause clearly they didn't play TTYD or PM 64 if they were ok with the newer games.
