  Hey there, I wanna get into this format to play something more casual than Timeless Bo3. Can you tell me how to get into fun queue? :D Like how can I find deck lists that will enable me to play fun games without running into OP stuff?

  It was a while back that Brawl matchmaking was discover and it's pretty convoluted. The way it works is that arena has a Brawl value attached to every card and gives your deck an mmr based on its contents. The best way to avoid powerful decks is to limit the number of generically good cards in your deck. The commander of the deck also affects what the match maker will put you up against. So sometimes swaping a commander with another legend from the 99 can change your match up pool. The Mmr data was more than likely changed, so if you look it up know that it's not going to wholly accurate.

  Simic keeps getting a new menace every now and then. Btw searching "set:m3c" or "s:m3c" shows the 8 precon commanders. Which includes 2 more simic commanders 😅

  Opponent should have pulled the Phial with the Invasion on turn 2/3. Almost always right to pick the ramp piece early in the game.

  Took a break from arena soon after caverns. Poked my head in today. Last thing I recall doing was trying a Mycotyrant brawl deck and finding it fun but more finnicky compared to my unga bunga Sarevok Golgari one. I think the reason I like him so much is that compared to similar commanders of his cost he doesn't rely on things happening when he's on the field, like Myco or Kagha. You just play out creatures and self mill in the early game and only feel compelled to play Sarevok to capitalize on the graveyard you already have for value. None of that rushing hard into your commander like most brawl decks. Personally love to pair him with cheap, evasive creatures. Things that fly or can't be blocked. That dinky little changeling outcast I slapped down turn 1 suddenly becomes significantly more troublesome when I've got 11 creatures in the graveyard and Sarevok's ability targets it.

  Mycotyrant is is great commander, I think I've only built one build of him on the channel so far but it pretty fun. Definitely a commander that will be revisited at some point.

  It's a cast trigger unfortunately, blinking it it would reset the the upkeep damage though.

  Why did you go with Old Stickfingers on this deck? there's a strong case to be made for other commanders such as Tycar, Nissa of shadowed Boughs and even Kagha as fairly cheap commanders that can fill graveyards or recur creatures (or both). I do like the speed at which the deck builds up, especially for a mid-range brawler

  Both are good options at time stick fingers was chosen because he mills only creatures. I wanted to make sure that a big mill didn't get one of my enchantments. Silly in retrospect making room for some regrowth effects would have done the same thing.
