great job i love your videos this is your South Derry buddy here .im sorry to hear you got hurt i will have you in my prayers my friend and hope you get better soon
Thanks for making this video, can you tell how much does it got to auri hybrid 2015, is 168g is enough?
the cost of that stuff is abit of a Rip off Dude got my BMW regased the proper way for £ 35.00 pounds removed all the old stuff and refilled properly with new Refridgerant...Topping up is not how you regas a vehicle
Do you have to completely remove the drive belt to remove the alternator or just loosen it? Thanks for the great video
Thanks for the video btw👍
Am i wrong if i assume that it work whit both those filters you have. I also ordered to my car but got the slimmer type, but the bigger whas on before i change. O rings whas exact and the threads to. All whas the same fitment. The only thing is that is 2 types of filtering styles i think. The slimmer will filtering right through. And the bigger is like two pipes. Like this figure (0). so the fuel goes not through the center. But around(total filter area looks like the same.) I don't know what the hole is for. It may be the same filter on other vehicles where the center hole has a meaning. But not on this car. Idk Anyway. I put it on but now i look after how too bleed it.
Good video. Solved my issue thanks mate
It can also be the pump and module itself im having same problems
Perfect job, really appreciate sharing your skills, if you would be closer to Dublin you would be first to go with my Avensis...
? on my Auris D4D 177hp, the alternator comes out from the top... (by dismantling the windshield wipers, the windshield wiper motor, the plastics under the windshield and the sheet metal underneath. and also a small box (relay??) on the left, and it works!! it's less work than dismantling the gimbal!! maybe it also works on the avensis D4D??
It doesn't take much for them to add OBD2 app that connects via Bluetooth. So you don't have to have separate scanner.
Very helpfull pal
What’s the torsion force you set for strengthening the EGR screws?
25nm
A most useful video! All 4 on my 2007 Tcat estate need doing - I hope it's similar to the 2008 model!
I’m sure it is yes 👍
@@cardiyrepair many thanks.
Cheers for that, well explained procedure!
Congrats)) I have same car and very happy ) 🎉🎉🎉
Greetings from Sweden and thank you for the helpful instructions. Bought one of them clamps from Amazon and it didn't disappoint. I think the hardest part was to push the three tabs down to release the brake wire. Some wiggling and a flat head screwdriver solved it eventually 😊
Hi, great video. I’m still confused about the amount of oil needed for this oil change. Mine is a 2011 2.0 D4D with dpf filter. Am I supposed to fill with it with 6.3 liters or 5.9? Thank you!
6.3 for oil and oil filter change bud.
Im missing those little clips you pulled out of the interior fabric of the boot lid.
Thanks for this vid just what I was looking for, and a good Dundalk mechanic only up the road from me. 👍
Thanks bud
I had some trouble with getting the old one off the parking brake cable. Once i started pulling the cable while I pushed down the three pins (one at the time) it went easier. The pulling motion prevented the pins from returning to locked position.
💪💪💪💪👍
Strange about Toyota is that even if the lights come on you can still drive it in compare to other modern cars. VSC system comes on even if something with the engine is wrong. MAP sensor, sparks, ignition coils, lambda sensor.I am just considering buying one with VSC and engine lights on. It's CVT with only 180.000km. The problem could be really cheap to fix as those engines and gearboxes are good quality.
Fantastic, going to order one of these. The factory one is abysmal. Thanks for this post.
I got this model. I noticed the starting symptoms of the siren whine in the front along with intermittent white smoke from exhaust on my way to Dublin for the concerts last weekend. Got any idea what it might be? I have the whine which I googled.can be either alternator or turbo but also occasional white smoke from exhaust. I couldn't get the exhaust to smoke on demand it's rare not like a head gasket and both of these issues have come up together.
I have the same model. The siren whine sounds more like the turbo. I noticed mine too a few ago, I thought it had become louder but the mechanic in toyota said it was quieter than his own so I just left it. Failed turbos can do nasty expensive damage so worth checking out. I also have random plumes of white smoke which I thought were a problem but again nothing in diagnostics and it's driving away. I do have a dodgy injector that intermittently raies a code maybe once a year so that be a contributor. The toyota owner club avensis forum can be very helpful if you post there.
@@disturbedcarrot thanks very much. If my problem is the same as yours, how long left would I get out of the car/turbo?
Hello buddy, I’ll start with the white smoke, 💨 don’t worry as mine dose this and the mechanic in Toyota told me that it’s just the car DPF is regening is burning suit in the diesel particulate filter and dose this from time to time, and the whining could be the turbo, if it makes a woooooo when accelerating that’s turbo I’d guess, also the diesel filter can cause the white smoke issue and due to burning the wrong fuel mix and change your diesel filter and it’s easy job and see how that goes, Toyota Avensis T270, D4D, 2.0L Diesel filter replacement, 2008 to 2015. kzread.info/dash/bejne/noag19qEdprMaZc.html
@@cardiyrepair thanks very much. I've left likes for your videos about this car. I am going to do the EGR cleaning thing you have a video on. I had a mechanic in Dublin give a very quick visual only look he confirmed it is no head gasket problem. If I have a turbo problem, the whine, how long/ how many miles will I get out of it before I have to do something?
I had my car seen at mechanic and you were very right. DPF regen, and it won't regenerate at low fuel levels. Got advised to use Dipetine fuel additives..@@cardiyrepair
Hi, what kind of battery is it?
CR2016
I've watched several of these touch screen replacement vids, and clicked on the link to purchase, but every single one can not be shipped to UK for some reason
Sorry to hear that but I have updated the link 🔗 hopefully it works now.
No good for the 522gw sadly …but thanks for helping those who it did work for
Love these upgrade videos
Cool )
I just wanted to say thanks for all these informative videos, I will tackle anything if I have half an idea what to do and without seeing you do yours, I wouldn't have known where to start. Watched your video about ten times while waiting for the new part to arrive £220 alternator, £16 30mm 12 point deep socket and £71 new gearbox oil and a transfer bottle, so just a smidge over £300 which has to be a huge saving over garage prices especially with labour costs for such a long job, took me 6 hours. Things I expected to be hard were easy and things I thought would be simple were tricky and awkward. The driveshaft popped out no problems but undoing the wire cable on top of the alternator and refastening it must have taken 40 minutes, anyway thanks again for sharing the knowledge it is much appreciated, all the best to you and yours.
I Bought Junsun Android eadio unit, but I want to use ORIGINAL rear camera. They advertise it will be plug and play, but its not. I cannot figure out how to hook it up and their custom service is absolutely horrible. Can you give me some simple advice? I really tried, but Iam not winning this...
Hello 👋 in order to use your original factory camera you will need to use a camera retention interface for your car model, it usually will be a 6 volt camera and the retention cable will have a transformer to reduce it from 12V to 6V, and if you do a search online for a store that sells camera retention interface cable, in the UK 🇬🇧 incartec.co.uk sell these, but where ever you are should have such store, I hope this helps
@@cardiyrepair thanks a lot. Unfortunately it turned out, that my cam is not original one and wiring behind radio is messy, so Iam in a war with wires right now, but it will end soon I hope🤣
Thank you!
You're welcome!
excellent job, i have just snapped mine, can you tell me where i can get this bolt from?
Toyota dealer not expensive.
@@cardiyrepair thankyou already got it and fitted it
thank you but where the links ?
what called the key in the minute 6:15 ?
Good ideas
Guessing for a 2007 2.0 D4D I'll need to take off the camcover as the injectors don't seem to be removable otherwise
How do you know which sensor is bad
THANKS!!!! Very helpful. Lights work again. Couldn't figure out how to reach te front right light. Had a struggle before with left...
Glad it helped!
Not hating on u but you say decides not to move. Give him a chance to put it in reverse.
Thank you, helped alot!
We dont use that word anymore! 😊
They offering black version also. I dont understand why you chose silver one...
Never never trust a draper torque wrench...crap..go teng all the way.
Video was not helpful to me. Which Nextbase dash cam model is that? I have the Nextbase 222x model that has the rear cam that can attach to the right side of camera.
Have you a number? Irish here cork
I don’t give it out here sorry but email is [email protected] contact this way bud
Needs to be perfectly closed when clean?
It must be tightened to 22nm as far as I remember it’s in the video, but don’t over tighten it as it’s steel into aluminium
@@cardiyrepair I the actual valve inside the EGR, mine is a Little bit open, before and after cleaning
I don't think it's normal
Thanks a mil, that nailed it
