  Pretty sure these are made BY Red Bull (Coca Cola Amatil). As is the case with ALL Aldı products. They don't "knock off" brands; they tender out and have the major brands make the product for them with their own naming.

  Flying Power is possibly, likely, manufactured by Rauch (same as Red Bull), but I can’t confirm this. Coca Cola Amarillo does not distribute Red Bull, Coke’s flagship energy drink is Monster Energy which is a direct competitor to Red Bull. My comments about Aldi “knocking off” other products refer mostly to customer perception and business strategy, not literal plagiarism of products. Aldi’s approach is no different to any other home brand/name brand line, although they were among the first to try to disguise their home brand products as “real” brands

  You did miss what I consider to be the second best one: The Mango Pineapple Guava flavour (also available caffeine free). I like the Classic Black best. Side note: What actually differentiates network marketing / MLM from pyramid schemes is the viability of the product. Pyramid schemes you get paid for recruitment whereas network marketing you only get paid if people buy products. Hearing you actually enjoy the product suggests to me that you’re actually providing proof of the product being legitimate.

  Yo I hard a hard time getting to sleep last night because I drank to much Red Bull well I wake up go on a nice walk around the block stop at the store and pick up this drink for the first time and I feel quite good the hydration plus energy plus mostly tasting like a pair to me a slight after taste and cheap price beats a lot of options

  I have no interest whatsoever in energy drinks (except this one time because of a long boring story) but I think you're really entertaining and natural in front of a camera.   ​@nolanmcgilvrey1619 Amway used to have a bad reputation because of how people who used to work for them were marketing products or trying to sell stuff. They're a Network Marketing company which is similar to an MLM which most people also refer to as pyramid schemes. The difference with a Network Marketing though is that you can make more than your upline. As opposed to MLMs, or really a typical job, where most the money filters to the top.

  I miss Black Stallion from back in the early 2000's. Just found Flying Power today, looking for a cheaper Red Bull alternative. Got myself an Original and Tropic flavoured. Tropic has a similar flavour to my memory of Black Stallion. Very passion fruit-y. Love it and if I want a Red Bull for MUCH cheaper, the Original flavour will be my new go-to as well.

  It’s a perfectly adequate Red Bull substitute. I don’t think I ever tried Black Stallion? The 500ml cans of Flying Power (mango and watermelon) are decent substitutes for Rockstar in the larger cans, too.

  compare a can of original flying power to the same sized can of redbull and you'll find that they're extremely similar. Nutrition, source of product, etc. They taste very similar but redbull has a more refreshing taste, and even then I think thats placebo. At $1 a can (used to be 80c :/ ) its a great deal since I hate coffee but want my daily fix.

  In my unsolicited opinion: I think that the branding here vs the usual V is creating for themselves a similar sales mix / demographic appeal as Kellogs did in the 90s with their Special K vs their Nutri-Grain.

  Utterly plausible. It’s definitely an attempt at more upmarket branding for a more “sophisticated” clientele, but it just strikes me as massively oversimplified, desaturated and quite boring 🫤

  @@ExoticBeverageReviews They've definitely made use of the association of simpler packaging with ideas of wholesomeness, unprocessed-ness, etc. The louder, perhaps more exciting packaging is definitely associated with sugar and more complicated factory processing of things (in the sense of making !Cheetos as opposed to the processing of an apple for supermarket sale). If it's boring it must be good for us, right?
