I’m in year 10 but gotta start young 💪 💪 💪
Super show Rohan, well done on such excellent results! Proud of you! ❤
Congrats!
So you’re not supposed to have a 4 year undergrad degree to get into medical school in uk right? U can apply right after A levels?
yes that's correct. you can also apply as a graduate student - some universities have an accelerated course specifically for grad students
very helpful video, thanks!
You're welcome!
I love this video I hope to be an undergraduate student in Cambridge to study pharmacology or pharmacy. I admire everything about Cambridge. Especially the Library 😊
Congratulations!
Thank you!
Well done Rohan. All Glory and thanks be to JESUS 🙏
thank you amma
Congrats Rohan Aiye🎉😊!
Thank you :)
Congrats Rohan
Thanks!
congrats! ❤
Thank you :)
Congrats !! Well done on completing 5th year , Honestly your journey in medicine has really inspired me to pursue medicine at cambridge . and your book reccomendations for medicne are so useful . Keep making such amazing videos
Thank you!!
youtube, it is a little late to recommend me this now.
Apparently the BMAT has been discontinued. What does this mean for people who are going into Year 12 and 13 this year?
Yes you are correct. I have a short video coming out on this soon. Basically - all universities have now switched to the UCAT exam
@@RohanYesudian Thank you so much for the clarification. I'll make sure to watch it when it comes out :)
Thanks a ton, Rohan!
You're welcome :)
How you got admission?
Why did you only prep for the UCAT for 3 weeks, as this is quite unusual now, when some people will spend months preparing? How much prep did you do and what would you do if you sat it again?
Good question - in hindsight I should have prepared more! But back then 3-4 weeks of preparation was common. Now UCAT preparation is more important than ever given that the BMAT has been scrapped
Hii, thankyou for this video, it was very informative. Im currently in year 11s and just about to finish my gcses (last one tomorrow) but I haven't done any supercurricular activities for medicine so I'm really worried I'll be at a disadvantage because of this. So many people I know have started work experience or volunteering at the start of Year 11, but I missed out on these opportunities and currently cannot find any more opportunities in my area since all spaces are full. Am I too late in terms of supercurriculars? Im really worried because Oxford and Cambridge is really competitive, and I assume they value 2 years of work experience much more than just 1 year.
Hi, thanks for your question. I would recommend checking out my video on supercurriculars for more information (short answer - you are definitely NOT too late to do any super curricular activities) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/d4J6uNhvoZjUn5s.html
I went to medical school in the USA and am US citizen, but passed PLAB. Can I apply for SFP and considered equal to a UK grad?
I think you would be considered equal but I am not sure. Maybe check this website to check your eligibility to apply for the UK Foundation Year Programme (foundationprogramme.nhs.uk/programmes/2-year-foundation-programme/eligibility-information/ukfp-2025-eligibility-applications-what-you-will-need/)
@@RohanYesudian Thank you. I appreciate you responding to new comments as well.
I like your friend's geeky joke. Rohan, I have a son who's just turned 12, currently finishing year 7 in a public school in London. His dream is to get into med school. It's my dream to help him get into Cambridge. Any words of advice on how to help my son fulfil his aspiration being in a public school, not grammar or private school?
The type of school you go to does not affect how the university application is processed. The best thing for your son would be to work hard and be exposed to as many fields as possible so he can decide what he is interested in and what he would like to study
@@RohanYesudian Dear Rohan, Thanks for your reply. My son is set on doing medicine. I would be grateful if you answer my questions on how to study, whether it's advisable to start practicing the UCAT from year 10 instead of waiting for 2 more years, doing past papers, kindly answer my queations.
I would love to help, but I'll be honest I've already shared all my advice on the medicine admissions process and studying tips on my channel. This playlist may be a good place to start: kzread.info/head/PLceCVeYoGrHgxqimhVWPYTC-kcT4icghd. I also have an ebook which goes through the whole process: docs.google.com/document/d/11YOtBMt350IPiO7Mn_ht8v0Gu6zX8BIF/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=108550279405128650455&rtpof=true&sd=true Regarding UCAT preparation, 2 years is probably excessive. Most people can adequately prepare for the exam in a few months.
@@RohanYesudian much appreciated Rohan. Is Cambridge worth the effort? Do they really overwhelm students with weekly courseworks and tight deadlines?
I would say it is worth the effort but it is hard work (mainly for the first 2 years, then gets easier)
Did you get a fund as an international student or loan or it’s just on your own ?
I am a UK national not an international student

Is it a good option to study MBBS through graduate entry medicine in those med schools??
Both courses offer a graduate entry programme. It is best to find out more from the official websites as I am not too familiar of the details myself
you give ali abdal vibes :)
🙄
I was watching and immediately decided to take a practice test…woi
Do state school students with 10 GCSES stand a chance I'm Oxbridge medicine admissions? Or is it mainly just the private school and grammar school students?
You definitely have a chance of getting into Oxbridge medicine from a state school. It's not your background that is important, but rather your academic record and your enthusiasm for the subject
@@RohanYesudian Thanks for the response 😊
Thank you for the video. Besides academic activities, have you done any internships, job shadowing and volunteer work?
You're welcome! Yes I did a bit of volunteering and hospital placement before applying for medical school. You can find out more about these things in my ebook: docs.google.com/document/d/11YOtBMt350IPiO7Mn_ht8v0Gu6zX8BIF/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=108550279405128650455&rtpof=true&sd=true
what is the eligibility for getting into mbbs for a student who is residing with parents in uk
I'm not sure of your specific circumstance. It will depend if you are a home (UK) or international student
Woah thank you!
You're welcome :)
i love you
Nobody made me do practicals. I did my entire A level at home.
Hello rohan i am from India and i am in the final year of my undergrad in BSc in chemistry botany zoology from India and i want to join graduate course in medicine like affiliate medicine or graduate entry medicine in Cambridge and other universities in UK can you please guide me please.... I know very little about it Please guide me Please reply..
Hi there, I am not too familiar with the medicine graduate course here at Cambridge. You can find out more details on this page: www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/courses/medicine-graduate-course-mb-bchir
Some wonderful points! Glad you made the disclaimer about parental expectations! 😀
yeah 😂
I want to apply for medicine but it’s so hard finding work experience in my area I live in the North East and I’ve been searching everywhere 😩😩
Have you checked my ebook on this? I made some suggestions on other helpful resources for this. You don't necessarily need clinical work experience, you can do any type of work as your work experience so long as you can link the skills you develop to medicine
I feel you!!! I live in the Middle East and it seems like shadowing a doc/ finding any work experience as a high schooler is a foreign concept here. Im currently cold emailing every single hospital in my area 😂
Thank you I really need this cause I’m struggling so hard in year 12 and I’m going to do it I’m going to get 5,5 43+
All the best!
I've got my ucas exams so soon 🥲🥲love the huberman references btw
Thank you, all the best!
Somehow I knew you were Christian, thanks for the video :) God bless you and please pray for me. God wants me in Cambridge for economics, I don’t know exactly why but the pressure is a lot for my year 12 finals and I need all the prayers I can get
You're welcome Mosam, all the best for your exams 🙏🏾
Amen
Wow superb Rohan🎉
Thanks amma
Great Video Rohan!!! ❤
Thank you 😁
I know this video is old and no one will read this but I'm in my second year of chemistry at uni and I'm definitely about to fail
I have a month left before my exams and I still have 10s of lectures to go through and I've already done quite badly in my labs(averaging around 50%) it's all my fault and I have avoided and out off work all year but now I feel so unmotivated and overwhelmed and I feel like I can't bring myself to study anymore I've fully given up
I know you can do it, you’ve got the drive, you’ll stop at nothing for your goal no matter the outcome! You know you’re intelligent, you won’t fail, make a plan, stick to it and you will pull through ❤
Don't give up! You can only give it your best and then see what happens. All the best for your exams!
Very useful video I’ve got GCSEs coming up
All the best!
same bro im cooked

Hey friends, I hope you found this video useful! I'm taking a break from KZread for a few months to focus on my exams. I wish you all the best for your exams :)
Just wanted to say that your content has definitely benefited me and many others.
Thank you :D
Nice one Ro, some very useful and practical points!
Thank you Appa

Hi Rohan! Thanks for your video. Can a person from outside the UK apply for the Foundation Program as well? do they have to pass any other test or any other filter? Thanks in advance!
Yes they can, but I'm not an expert so I'm not too sure what the individual steps are for international medical graduates to enter the foundation program. I believe they need to pass the PLAB exam. This website: foundationprogramme.nhs.uk/programmes/2-year-foundation-programme/eligibility-information/ should give the most up to date information.
this is probably one of my favourite videos on youtube. thank you for the content rohan!
You're welcome and thank you!
Thanks very much for the tips Rohan!
You're welcome :)
