Considering you need a 34 inch inseam to balance the triumph at a red light and have display graphics from 2007 I would say that the bmw is still ahead even if it cost more.

Hi simulacrum you must have been watching some one else as I didn't have a graphic on mine. But if you feel the bmw is the bike for you than injoy it and I hope you get one free of all the problems they are having at the moment. Cheers Wayne.

@@livingwithbikes4778 display graphics, as the ones you see on the instrument cluster. And what problem? There haven't been any issues with the 1300GS? Maybe if try to find people complaining like all the AI generated "The 1300GS is shit" videos on KZread.

Duo lever , Hossack designed front suspension, I've owned a 1200 R and 1300 R nothing comes close , if you can ride one to the top performance, you can certainly ride.

I've got the same bike. Absolutely loving it. If you want to do anything more adventurous off road, you'll want to get rid of those tires. I'm putting Motoz Tractionators on mine. Those Karoos made me feel like I was riding on marbles on a gravel road. Interesting thing about these bikes...that glorious intake sound you hear when you crack it wide open, is just for you. Nobody else can hear that. The sound is directed straight at you. I've mentioned that sound to my riding buddies and they have no idea what I'm talking about. Perhaps that's a good thing. Safe riding, mate! And get rid of all those bloody warning decals. 🙂

Thanks mate. Yes I am looking at the same tyres. I will take the warning sticker off it just tells me I'm on a new bike for a while.

i must be old because when the blackbird came out i thought it was hideous and the hurricane looked better. similarly i thought the hayabusa was hideous (still do) and that the older zx11d looked much better. btw- i was a suzuki guy for about 30 years.

you were supposed to do a MASSIVE BURNOUT before changing tires. it is disrespectful to the tire otherwise. i personally never had to do that because i ride my motorcycles. 32 years of riding, 10 different motorcycles and always had a worn out rear tire (without burnouts). currently impressed with the Shinko Apex 010 tires i put on my kawasaki ZX14R because the rear has over 2100 miles and still looks almost new.

Google problems.. k1300r and be suprized. If it rides it’s fun.. until your chain jumps off timing.. BMW after 1998 is trouble .. dunno why. All series got seriously engine and drive train issues.

Why were you using the clutch going up gears?? They have quick shift going up gears. Just need to use it going down. They also have adjustable suspension. Sports, normal. Etc button on the right handlebar adjusts.

Fuel injectors do not cope well with broken down fuel. I had this happen with my '99 'bird that hadn't been run for 6 years. Completely refurbed the entire fuel system. Premium unleaded breaks down into something akin to seawater.

Beautiful part of the world South Gippsland and it has some nice riding roads. I have friends living there that I visited and rode down from North Queensland on my '99 Blackbird. I still have that bike and love it. Thanks for posting the video, it brought back memories of that trip.

Great work! The bike looks new again. I finished rebuilding a 1991 FZR1000. It took a long time. The garage also has a clean blue and white 1989 GSXR 1100 that I picked up locally. I am currently working on a red and white 1989 GSXR 750. Very difficult to find parts. Please let me know if you can locate a rear wheel fender. A Japanese parts seller has two, very expensive and not the right ones for the screw mounts. Anyway, your attention to detail gives us inspiration to complete the job. Thank you.

Just a tip i got sick of trailing my WR to the bush so i just swapped out the stock gearing (13/50) to 14/48 and its the best thing ive done i can just ride straight from home now cruises on the main road no dramas at all.
