  These Schicht carriages are not easy to find, otherwise they seem indeed great donors for soviet rolling stock. Did you add рёбра жестокости to them? It looks like you did, but from the video I can't tell for sure. I have tried to add these ribs on a Lima wagon but the result was not great. PS: what colour is that blue? It fits well.

  No ribs on these carriages, sadly, but I have seen the occasional WLAB carriage without. The blue should have been a darker 'capri blue' but the only options looked too dark so this was a fiat blue motor acrylic paint that seemed to match a tillig model reasonably well. Thanks for watching!

  Looking forward to your side by side comparison. The Modimio stuff gets great reviews, and finding bogies is easier than for locomotives

  Fantastic video 👍👍👍 shunting and departure 🤩 the lighter roof looks better. Plastic Lima wheelsets could be an inexpensive variant to stop the wobbling on points. A more expensive variant are the Evemodel wheelsets. I have fitted them in my Jouef coaches and it makes a big difference.

  Yeah I need the metal wheelsets for sure. The issue is the plastic flanges on two wagons are really too deep. Thanks for comments!

  It is mostly Piko A track, which is similar depth to Hornby I think. I've been very happy with it, generally.

  @@robstovrailway Yes, Piko A is Code 100, the same as Hornby. But on points the plastic frogs are slightly higher and cause older wheelsets to wobble. I have the same problem with Hornby points and with Trix points (code 75).

  Is a normal laser printer that can print in white? Or is it something special?

  It needs to have a white cartridge, as the usual four standard colours won't work. I don't have a laserjet, but it was easier finding someone that did than it was sourcing specialist decals! Thanks for watching

  Looks fantastic! Very beautiful livery with shiny finish (varnish?). Even though the wheelsets make them wobble a bit, they run great 👍 By the way, @Christake1974 made a video about bellows on these older wagons. Great short video! I wouldn't mind a longer vid about this train 😊

  Thanks for tip, I will take a look. I had to use a gloss varnish on transfers as the matt leaves white residue. Longer video to follow, with better light. I will paint the roofs too, I need to get a suitable grey

  I like the overhead wiring poles with the telegraph wires fitting at the back and the base painted white. So typically USSR 🤩👍
