Thank you Bryan...I had wondered what life was like aboard these cargo ships...so, now I got to see a bit of it. Thanks for sharing & stay safe & well too. One question please, Bryan, how long are you usually gone at a time? That is a big room, thank goodness & a very well care for cargo ship...very clean too!! I subbed then noticed that no videos have been posted since a year ago...did you stop filming or working onboard these container ships? Thanks Bryan

It's funny seeing this on a big powered vessel - I'm used to multiplying the distance by 60 and dividing by minutes rather than hours because I work with shorter distances and slower speeds

No disrespect but if it weren’t for the crew working hard too then the ship couldn’t complete its task. So I feel that the crew should get the same accommodations as the officers because they all work together as a team to get the job done. Can we stop giving less to the ones that make less, because sometimes (not all) they work physically harder than the officers so why don’t they deserve the best too? I wish we would stop treating others this way.

Great video!👍🏼Kind of reminds me of when I was on the USNS Leroy Grumman back in the early 90s for a few weeks. I was an AG3, aka weather guesser, or actually observer hehe. Btw I probably would've called it mist instead of fog a bit after sunrise. Visibility for fog is 1/2SM or less, and for mist it's greater than 1/2SM. Thanks for sharing! 😁

I became a sailor at the age of 17, so for the first time I boarded a merchant ship as a deck cadet. Later I became a third mate, until I reached the age of 26, when I left the work at sea. 40 years have passed since then and I still occasionally miss the cruises (but definitely not the work at the ports). When I was a third mate, there was no electronic equipment in the bridge, as it is today and in the oceans, we navigated using the sextant, the chronometer and the compass. My profile has a photo taken 40 years ago, while i am using the sextant. I would love to be in touch with you.

All your videos are great and really give us non-ship or non-oceanfaring types a rare glimpse into the world of ship cargo transport: the long hours, the waves, the exposure, the hard work. I love playing this video in the background to give the feel of being on a ship in the vast ocean. It really gives one a feel for the sheer amount of energy and work needed to bring a cheap pink dildo from China to the U.S.
