    So your teaching pedestrians to walk onto the road without looking. Good job, zero vision.

    Have you tried having pedestrians put their phone away and walk with intention?

    Have you tried having pedestrians put their phone down and walk with intention? Pedestrians will stop at the crosswalk, check their phone for a minute then blindly step out into traffic just assuming traffic knows they finished the text and are ready to cross. Have you tried having police enforce jaywalking and other laws? Have you tried having police enforce any laws on cyclists? Adults on sidewalk, going against the flow of traffic, running stops, jumping between road and sidewalk as they please.

    Having pedestrians cross right at the round-a-bout is a mistake. You're trying to watch for cars coming around on the left, but then a pedestrian just walks out in front on the right side, with zero regard for the cars. You're asking for trouble.

  • @TheRealCartman1

    Yep, everyone else does it you exit the roundabout then look to the pedestrian crossing.

    What's the point of this - listening to people blowing their own trumpets. Important issues aren't even mentioned such as what is being done to convert the city to the inevitable hydrogen era.

    This is one of the best property tax videos out there. Please, never take this down. All that is missing is a sidebar segment on how those small decimals can be converted to millage rates. I use this lesson all the time in one of my math classes. Thank you for explaining how it works with multiple examples. BRAVO!

    Property taxes are illegal under the 16th amendment. It only gives Congress the right to tax and only on income, not on a property you are living in.

  • @jacobmarley2417
    @jacobmarley24172 ай бұрын

    lol good luck with that. You need to read the 16th amendment again because it says nothing of the sort, Stop watching youtube revolutionist videos and think for yourself.

    @@jacobmarley2417 I’ve read it several times. “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” It specifically says it can tax incomes. Living in your home is not income….

    This was such a beautiful area back then. The GTA crowd has totally destroyed this natural area now. The animals are gone and there is garbage everywhere. It's pretty much over now. Too bad another beautiful city eaten up by the GTA plague that spreads further every year.

    So never upgrade your home and drive the taxs down... let's see bought a property in bc it's says assment 249k.... asking 149k... paid 120k... so in 2019 it was 94k in 2021 jumped 169 then 2022 249... then sold in 2023 for 120.... somethings very fishy

    For everyone's enjoyment, the part where Chapman starts complaining about "the character of the neighborhood" is at about 2:03:08.

  • @thomasanderson5929
    @thomasanderson5929 Жыл бұрын

    Deb Chapman is the type of person who's idea of infesting cities with stroads is a good idea. It's the #1 reason why North American cities all look the same (4-6 lane roads, strip malls everywhere, zero bike lanes, a sidewalk noone will ever use and a bench that will never be used, etc). Someone needs to lose their job. Whatever happens to the development, however big the building is, MAKE THE GROUND LEVEL FLOOR COMMERCIAL; a grocery store, a convenience store, a patio pub, etc. SPREAD OUT places of business so you dont have to drive everywhere and cause gridlock, otherwise you end up with the Toronto (a miserable failure, or worse yet, Brampton). Make the sidewalk split for pedestrians and cyclists and put in lots of trees. Make the place inviting and away from loud traffic. This should be a mandate for all new buildings.

    Greetings from Michigan. My grandparents settled on Beverly Street in Galt around 1920 and my dad and his sisters grew up there. All the old timers worked at Galt Malleable Iron and died of lung cancer. That was normal for immigrants all over the country. Safety has improved in many industries. Thank God. I don't have any family left in Canada but I sure miss visiting Galt and the surrounding communities. Before the 401 was built it used to take 6 hours to travel from the Ambassador Bridge to Galt. Now, it takes less than three. The 401 is one of the most beautifully maintained roads around. The service centers stationed every 50 miles were top notch. Although I still only buy Tim Horton's coffee in the states, the Canadian version tastes much better. It must be the clean Canadian water that makes the difference. Also, I was a young kid when Tim Horton and the Leafs were winning all those Stanley cups in the 1960s. I watched him every Saturday night for years on Hockey Night in Canada because we could pick up the CBC "over the air station" out of Windsor. Horton and Bower and Armstong and Pulford and Stewart and Stanley and Hillman and Baun and Brewer and Mahovlich and Keon and Kelly and Shack and Duff and Bathgate and Pappin and Simmons and Stemkowski and Douglas and Ellis and Harris and Nevin and Conacher. I knew the numbers of every one of them. Then you had the trade that brought Marcel Pronovost, Terry Sawchuk and Larry Jeffrey over from the Wings. The Leafs really suckered Jack Adams on that trade as well as the Red Kelly trade. Between Punch Imlach, Harold Ballard and Jack Adams you had quite a circus.

    Start with the definitions for that title. The definition for person is a corporation, trust, association, et.al. In order for a property in any of the 50 states to be taxable, it has to have a situs (place of a crime or business) attached to it, in other words it has to be producing a profit. Through a return required by the Florida Department of Revenue for businesses, that is then sent to the property appraiser to notify of a privilege being conducted in the state. The homestead exemption is an application to exclude your “place of shelter” and exempt it from the portion of your property that is exercising a privilege, to operate in commerce in the state. Regardless of what the PA classifies your home as, it is not taxable and it is the intent of the Florida Legislature to be in compliance with the Constitution of the United States. Taxes are handled at the local level. It is the intent of the Florida Legislature to be in compliance with the US Constitution. Go ask your PA to show you what statute shows you are a taxpayer and the proof they have that shows you are operating in commerce. Bet they send you to talk to the county attorney.

    I’m so sorry to interrupt, but that is false information. If you own a home on private property in the state of Florida and that private personal property is in NO WAY ASSOCITATED WITH AN ACT OF COMMERCE or profit producing activity….there is no tax due at all! Your shelter is not taxable. The exemption you are applying for it to separate your homestead from the peroration of your property that is operating in commerce. Start researching! Ask them to show what proof they have that a business is being operating on your property! All 50 states….your home is exempt from taxes!

    This is the same CROCK they show for Niagara Region however Niagara shut off the commenting. Gee I wonder why. Bottom line your taxes are not ever going down. Wait until people buying at the ridiculous prices get a load of their new tax bills. The MPAC gets the price of every sale registered. From that price you will soon be reassessed and your new Market Value will be the purchase price. Wake up and smell the coffee everyone. Real Estate through their greed has inflated prices all so that they get more money in their pockets. People are buying cardboard boxes for half a million. It's pathetic really. You don't need a real estate agent. The lawyer does all the work yet the document/offer you sign is so binding with these so called agents that there is no getting out. Always put a finance clause whether you need it or not. That is your get out of jail card. Do yourself a favour; list your own home, sell it privately and use the same lawyer. That way it's a win/win.

    The Urban Design Excellence - High Rise jury must not have walked past One Victoria. The corner of King and Victoria is the worst wind tunnel in the whole city -- so far. Standing at the bus stop on King Street on a winter night is pure torture. It may look nice, but shouldn't good design include the ability to live and walk comfortably nearby?
