This channel features live music footage since 2007, I see it as some sort of diary. This sucks man. No other "celebrity" death has ever hit me like this. I was inspired by Steve as a young teenager. I never was musically talented, but Steve Albini was the reason I started caring hard about my art. I stopped drawing gimmicky similar stuff to what i was comfortable with drawing, and Steve Albini and Trent Reznor saved me. They really inspired me to be comfortable with doing things outside the box. What Steve Albini did for me is give me confidence in myself. He showed me how you can really express yourself through your art, while being vulnerable and sad. The first time I heard "Kerosene" i felt so heard, so understood, ans thats big black thats not even shellac. But steve albini chamged my life, for the better, and he'll never know it. Steve, if you really can see any of this...thank you man. And thank you for being so fucking amazing that you changed the way grunge music was even viewed. You're a fucking legend. My favorite song from Steve would have to be his band Shellac's big hit, Kersosene. No one can deny that song is perfect. RIP STEVE ALBINI. He definitely made it out of Minnesota.
