    They are doing mobile servicing still. Had mine done a few weeks ago. One of their original mobile techs is doing it freelance, but endorsed by CCM so still official stamp. I had to ask for it though, I suspect they prefer you to use one of their franchised service centres. However, for me the convenience of a home service was an important factor when I bought it. Bike is brilliant on the bendy bits and now I’ve done the run in mileage I’ll try it on the A roads. So, if you want the mobile service then ask for it!

    I had no idea the RSV4 didn’t have a fuel gauge, when the Tuono does! That’s unbelievably irritating. Bet it’s gonna be Aprilia’s new thing for ‘25 to get people to buy the newer models. 🙄🙄

    The most annoying for this bike is the absence of the gauge for sure. Also, I wonder, compared to RS660, about the seat confort, is it as good, worse or better?

    Its a good looking bike and I like the noise it makes being a single, thing is though its twice the price of a Brat 125 ( I have one) but its the same weight and same dimensions, so at first look it would seem a bit pricey which is off putting, seven large is a lot of money for a bike that put next to mine don't look dissimilar ? One thing I'll mention is the digital dash on mine which is 17% out, It say's 60mph but its actually 50mph, to do 30mph the speedo has to say 37mph, not sure if it can be re calibrated and TBH i'd change it for something bigger and more accurate if possible, the one on the bike can be bought off fleabay for £20 ... : (. I like the blue/grey color. might even spray mine the same, mines copper which is different but not when most of the Brats sold buyers pick the copper color. The filler cap looks the same as mine and its a faff because it don't snap shut, you close it and turn the key to lock it, I am however really pleased with mine overall it does ride great and feels well planted round bends, I would buy a Brute but I'll wait for a 2nd hand one I think !

  • @RiderReviews
    @RiderReviewsАй бұрын

    Yes would have thought the second hand market would eventually have a fair amount available. Don’t think they’ve been out that long but not sure, also your speedometer should definitely be fairly easy to calibrate. Have you recently had a front tyre fitted maybe causing a difference in reading your speed. Cheers 👍

    I own the same bike with Time Attack livery. Basically this is a bike that was designed primarily as a track day platform that can be converted into a full blown race bike. You take all the plastics off and put race fairings on, so no need to make the plastics fancy. It would just increase the price. The reason for no fuel gauge is to save weight and cost. The fuel filler hole is so small to seal with a quick filler can.

  • @RiderReviews
    @RiderReviewsАй бұрын

  • @EagleF3F

    @@RiderReviews Yeah I have to agree it's a bit all over the place. But awesome bike nonetheless.

  • @snikwadRR
    @snikwadRRАй бұрын

    Cruise control was easy to add with full ride by wire. It was essentially just some additional programming to the aprc and ECU. No weight added. Not many full superbikes out there have a fuel gauge. It's just not something that's needed and they figured the additional weight of the level sensor and new dash face, why do all that? All bikes these days have a tiny gas and cap filler, it's to reduce off gassing of the fuel during refilling. Blame the tree huggers. @@RiderReviews

    Do you get any vibration though the handle bars or pegs .. My 2023 S1000 RR has just started to have a high frequency vibration which is making my fingers and toes go numb after 30 minutes riding (BMW says there is nothing wrong with the bike) and to be honest I'm over it and I think BMW quality control is going down the drain .. Hey, Ive been riding Jap bikes for decades until in 2020 I decided on something special and ever since it has only been and will only be Aprilia. I am officially a Aprilia snob and proud of it. I have a 2014 RSV4 Factory and a 2017 RSV4-RF. I mostly track with a little on the road, they are so appreciated on the track, they are basically a race bike with lights strapped on. Its the 12k service that'll 'Costa molto Signore!' All other servcings are pretty much the same, but then its like having a Lamborghini (Ducati=Ferrari) Do the gearing thing on your's even though Aprilia might have kind of changed the gearing a little. They love the track and love being spanked good on track (as long as you know how to). I have mine Professionally setup for the track and Michelin PowerCup 2 fitted. Hopefully we'll get good weather this summer for many trackdays eh! Bet you love your 2024!

    On my Tuono, I can notice A3 feels softer on big hits and more bouncy on a sort of uneven lumpy kind of road. But I find that A1 & A2 are exactly the same, and when you go into the menus they are both on exactly the same values. I’m going to have a play and stiffen A1 up, maybe the same amount as A3 is from A2 but in the opposite direction. I’ve not had a play with the manual mode yet. I also have AWC on 1 as I’ve found everything else too intrusive. I’ve not dared to try launch control yet 😬 I only realised last week that it’s really easy to go through the suspension modes on the fly while riding! I’ve found neutral a few times in each direction while riding, but I’ve always put it down to me not being firm enough with it! I don’t use the dealer for services anymore as my warranty is up, I do it all myself to the schedule.

  • @RiderReviews
    @RiderReviews2 ай бұрын

    Yes i think it’s a case of playing about with the suspension settings for best results. Like you say it’s very easy to adjust modes on the fly which is useful, I’d be interested to know how you get on with the setup. What oil do you prefer to use when changing oil and filter? Cheers Jake.

    @@RiderReviews my dealer is less than 2 miles from home so I just went with the putoline that they have there in stock and a genuine filter. I’ll probably go down the Motul route next time though if I’m honest. I bought mine second hand, less than a year old and just over 1k miles and the rear tyre was shot! The sides had never been touched but the middle was laughable it was so squared off so I was confident it hadn’t been abused, not round corners anyway!
