    I've been sleeping on the same 2.5" futon I got about 6yrs ago. I first started on the floor, but opted not long later for a metal frame with wood slats so I could get the benefits of the natural futon and still keep my nightstands on the side😅 My back issues have been eliminated over the years, not to mention not breathing in the off gassing from chemical mattresses. I think it's time for me to buy a new futon though.

    My wife and I have been using ours for the last 3ish years and we love ours 😁 that said, getting the occasional use of a traditional western style bed in a hotel or when visiting family is nice as well, but when we get back to the futon my back appreciates it XD

    That looks like a tatami mat. I wonder what the difference between a futon sheet or a zipper cover. I need to get a futon but I don’t know what to order. My concern is the weight and being able to get it out to the screen porch. Thanks for your informative video.

  • @DYCEQUIRK
    @DYCEQUIRK26 күн бұрын

    I'm glad it was helpful. In the video in the left corner you can see a non-sectional tatami that I use. That one is a little heavier, and closer to the ones I recommend in the description of this video. (And I think even better, I showed my wife's tatami in this video.) When folded, it's pretty easy for us to move, but I would depend on how much weight you are comfortable carrying around. We use two zipper sheet's for the tatami we use and find it nice so we just have to fold and unfold our tatami with minimal set-up the end of the day. I hope you find the perfect tatami for you :) let me know if I can offer any help.

    A decade ago to get the marble and save the bottle, I used a lighter to melt the plastic and my pocket knife to scrape the plastic away. I practiced safe knife handling and kept the blade away from my hand...except for the ONE TIME that I accidentally had it towards me, and my blade slipped, slicing right into my left hand's index knuckle, exactly where the radial artery runs through. It was a partially-serrated knife, so it wasn't exactly a clean cut, though my blade was still sharp. I bleed a good bit, took a while to heal with just a bandage application, and I've got a nasty scar...BUT I GOT THE MARBLE OUT!
