I am a hobby drummer in the Mainz, Germany area and I am into drum chart reading. My channel contains videos of the drummers I like and some drum charts that I wrote.
.... Hi, I'm Vinnie, and for the next 10 seconds I'm going to play a Billion notes for you, so listen up!" 🤣

Did the clinic take place in Frankfurt's „Sinkkasten“ back then? I remember seeing Vinnie there in the early 90s.

I remember just constantly watching this vhs. The whole concert was great, but this just ignited my obsession with Vinnie’s playing.

I'm only now understanding what a giant Dom Famularo was. When a guy like Vinnie can go to him for help of some kind.. and I bet he was the same with every single student. Amazing

I never considered the “Tony Williams” moments in Vinnie’s playing. Just so insane - musical and expressive with chops from the almighty to play what he’s feeling.
