    funny, I've been searching for this kind of set up(for a community tarp/bug shelter), and a larger tarp as a rain fly to go with it. I dont know why aqua quest and DD do not offer this kind of product to go with their tarps??? I have found a few online but haven't felt like pulling the trigger on any of them. This is a nice product! 👍👍

    I’m 6’2” and 200 lbs. Am I too big for that boat? What do you think about the capacity, carrying gear?

  • @ItsGoodintheWoods
    @ItsGoodintheWoodsКүн бұрын

    Your size would be pushing the limits with gear. It could be done, but I think someone your size would be feeling pretty exposed in this canoe. I pack pretty light, and can get a week out of this canoe pretty easily. A better option for you would be the Northstar Northwind Solo. It is the bigger brother of the Trillium. My canoe is a scaled down version of the Northwind Solo. Here is a link to it www.northstarcanoes.com/canoe/northwind/?option=solo

    I recently bought the Outback Pocketboy for my car’s bugout bag. Haven’t used it yet, but it looks like it will hold up well with proper use. Was considering the Gomboy variant, but I wasn’t digging the curved blade, and I’m also carrying an axe with it for if the situation calls for bigger cuts. Btw, I caught that Happy Gilmore reference 😂
